Had to smile at you and your Dad snoozing and missing the snooker! In my case it’s me and my husband doing the same and missing most of it! Take care and keep warm x

I would do exactly the same thing (and have done so many times over the years) with leaving a handmade gift at home when visiting the recipient. I hope your friend didn't mind too much, but I'm sure the joy of receiving a hand knitted shawl made up for the belated receipt 💜💜💜

You are looking so pretty in your outfit. I love the sweater color! Your evening out for the birthday celebration sounds so nice. Bar tending and all. 😂 I can't tell you how many times I've gone to some get-together and managed to leave stuff at home. Sigh... Heidi is such a lovey. Your idea for the battery packs is genius! ❤

Hi Lesley, not just me who does that then!. Had made Mum a cover for her tissue box, she had asked me. Went to visit Tuesday afternoon and got half way up the M6 and realised.
To be honest i was more concerned about the snow and ice. Our way was bad, with no critter as the bus service has been ended. So the council do grit.

Hey Lesley, just for once I’m knitting! I started a poncho in exactly the yarn it was meant for, a yarn I already had and this is the 3rd project I’m starting with it, having had to unravel the first 2. 😂 It seems like this one is THE one. How conventional. I’m also barely recovering from the cold of the decade, all immunity gone during covid I think. Glad you’re doing well and having fun. Keep well xx

Lesley, i’m sorry you’d forgotten your gift. Get used to it. It won’t get better. I’m about 10 years older than you and 62 seemed to be the change where my locked steel trap of a mind rusted out. I’m blaming Long Covid now. 😂

Hi Karen - thanks so much. Yes - I expect things to get worse - the annoying thing was that I left the parcel near to my keys in an attempt to remember it. Ah well - it's another opportunity to see the friend.
Yes, I did knit the blue sweater (it's a cardigan, but I had the top buttoned). I pulled it out of the cupboard yesterday morning, trying to work out why I don't wear it more often!
Modified, design features, personal adaptation, completely messing it up - all of these words and phrases are interchangeable!
