I've thought about trying to spin dryer lint as well as dust bunnies. Although really, my dust bunnies are more like dust bisons. 🤣
Haha! Sounds like they need wrestling, not spinning.
Drier lint spinning? Why not - fabric fibres, after all xx
Thanks and take care xx
Just love your yarn color and your story! We crafters must be alike. If you could only see the state of my floors. My goodness, I am not a very good cleaner at all. Thank goodness for a very forgiving husband! Have a great weekend!
Hi Susan.
I take the view that if Himself wants it to be cleaner, he knows where the vacuum is!
Thanks so much and take care xx
Loved the idea of spinning the dust.😂 When we had cob webs in the corners, my grandmother called it Irish Lace. 😊
Hi Jackie. That makes it sound much better xx hope all is well with you xx
Ahhhahaha! I finally vaccumed behind our headboard on the carpet in our room. After gosh knows how long. It was spinnable too!!!
Ha! Some places just accumulate this stuff, don't they? Thanks and take care xz
Snap! Two weeks ago we had a new shower pump fitted and also have a tank in an airing cupboard. Yes a lot of dust! 🫣 😂 Your yarn is a lovely colour. Have a good weekend.
Ha! That's amazing! Glad it's not just me.
Thanks and have a good weekend xx
That film sounds very interesting!!
I love to see the yarn you've spun. This blue yarn is really lovely!!
Thanks - it was a very interesting film - lots to think about xx
That must be where dust jackets come from…🤪
Ba boom tsh!
Good one!
Cheers xx
I just knew you were gonna say what you thought about the dust!!! Omg,I laughed!😂
Phew - I am glad it's not just me!
Thanks and take care xx
Got a giggle Lesley when you started to talk about the hotpress as I thought you were going to say you found a forgotten about bag of yarn…. :-)
Hi Muireann.
I think that's one of the few places that I haven't stored it!😀
Thanks and take care xx
I enjoy listening to your video while stitching as you are so down to earth and friendly. I hate house cleaning so your dust story doesn't bother a bit. I would rather do yard work!!
Thanks for the good company, 🙂
Thanks Mel.
You might not say that if you saw our yard!
Hope all us well with you xx
@@NotQuiteEnoughYarn Mine is also in need, but I am working on it...😅🙂
Beautiful yarn. Can't wait to see it worked up. ❤
Thank you - it feels nice and soft, too. Cheers and take care xx
Your yarn is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see what you make with it. Back in the UK now - and jet-lagged 🤦🏼♀️. Lovely as always catching up with you xx
Hi Louise
Glad you are safely home and hope you had a great time xx
Thanks and take care xx
Your hand spun is gorgeous. I hope you have a great time at the guild meeting and make some new fiber friends. Have a great week see you next Friday. Oh and I got my arm out of my sling so much more knitting will be done!! Just physical therapy left to do. Stay well
Hi Joel - so glad to hear that the sling has gone. Hope the PT goes well and you are able to incorporate knitting into the exercises!. Take good care xx
Your blue hand spun looks such a pretty colour on camera. I’m sure we shall see that in a project in due course! Sorry you were a little disappointed in the craft and food fair. It does happen some times! I’m sure my airing cupboard would be just the same although I did have a clear out recently - needs must! Take care and have a good week x
Thanks Heather. It was a nice morning out to the fair - and the cheese was good!
Hope you are keeping well xx
The yarn is beautiful. We all have those areas in the house we don’t get to clean too often. Have a great weekend!
Hi Mary. That is very true - and always the good intention to do them more often.
Take care and hope life is treating you kindly xx
I love the colour of your hand spun. Can’t wait to see what you make with it. Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks so much - I am very pleased with it xx
We called those balls of fluff "dust bunnies". When my children were young I always knew that I needed to vacuum when I heard my son blowing them down the hallway. 🤣 Not such a good housekeeper when they get that big. Love your spinning. ♥ Have a great weekend.
Thanks Angela - housekeeping is for people who don't craft.
Hope all is well with you xx
Hi Lesley, I hope you're well . Shame about the craft fair. We went to a craft and flea market held in Manchester cathedral. It was very small compared to yarn shows. Stands selling a variety of pottery, candles , soap, etc. I bought a lovely project bag, which was very well made and reasonably priced. Under priced, really.
Lots of wonderwool prep happening here.
Have a lovely weekend. Take care. X
Hi Angela. That sounds like a lovely venue for a craft/flea market, too! Good luck at Wonderwool - hope it's successful and a lot of fun xx
❤❤❤
Thank you xx
Thank you my friend
Hope you are both ok and having fun xx
Hi Lesley. I had the same. Our central heating broke so had to empty the airing cupboard.
🫣🙀 having 2 cats that like to sleep in there. My dust fluff was more in line with felt 😝😖. But boy does it look clean and tidy now 💪. 🤣🤣 xx
Ha - but have the cats forgiven you for cleaning out their area? They'd spent ages getting that comfy!
Hope all is well xx
The aren’t happy with me because i washed and cleaned everything and then vacuum packed up the thing i wasn’t using regularly to keep them clean. So i am in the dog house for now 🙈🤪
Hahaha! My mother used to say that dust doesn't get any thicker after 3 months! (Well, of course, I had to test this point, didn't I? Now I can say that I am waiting until the dust makes a spinable quantity.)
Hi Susan.
It's important to conduct these experiments- only in the interest of science, of course. 😉
Thanks and take care xx
Love the handspun
Thank you xx
Your spun yarn is beautiful.
Thanks Linda.
Good to see you at the weekend xx
@@NotQuiteEnoughYarn Yes, it was good to see you too. I enjoy that group so much. It has been rainy and just stormy today. Our usual.
Hmm, I think wanting to spin cobwebs means you have a chronic case of fibre fever 😂
Heidi headed to her warm nest after being outside, poor little princess 🐾
Hope your fibre meeting goes well!
Take care dearie😘
Thanks so much. Heidi loves the garden, but not quite as much as she loves blankets and the radiator! (I'm much the same, myself). Hope all is well - thanks and take care xx
Hi Lesley, I don’t have carpeting in my new house, only light greyish white tiles and I’ve finally realised how much fluff all my knitting and textile-related crafts are producing. Much more than the usual dust bunnies (not that I can’t live with all that fluff, but it shows and I can’t ignore it now). Have a wonderful weekend, hoping you have better weather across the channel xx
Hi Nadine - so I guess you're carpeting as you go? The fluff does get everywhere, doesn't it?
Hope you had a good weekend. Take care xx
@@NotQuiteEnoughYarn hi Lesley. As a matter of fact I’m not and probably never will. I have underfloor heating and I don’t even know how compatible it would be. Also I lived with carpeting for 30 odd years in my old house and hated it in the end. So difficult to keep really clean and after a while you have to change it, such a hassle. Not to speak of the pets, both when young and old! So I had tiling put in the entire house, the builder was surprised I didn’t even want wood floorboards in the bedrooms. Don’t think I’m obsessed with cleaning but I’m borderline allergic to dust and the rest of it. So I do put in rugs when and as I feel the need. Easier to keep clean with my advancing age! Have a great week. It’s literally freezing here. Take care! xx
@@NadineTouzet I understand your choices, entirely - even when it's chilly! Take care xx
You dont half make me laugh with your dust fibre thinking. Half of what l spin is usually my hair
Ha! It must add lovely structure to your yarn! Xx thanks and take care xx
