Yay, it's finally here! Thanks for playing my scenario, and as usual, the question answering session: I think you giving yourself more trouble than you needed to by going the route of *not* evolving symptoms during the finale. Increasing severity helps avoid DNA starvation. It's sort of like...double layered normal Plague Inc, in the sense that the alien response builds up gradually, similar to how the cure does under normal gameplay, and fighting them using combat abilities increases your ability to fight them, similar to generating DNA by raising severity. Spreading while attacking and defending is the key, not staying unnoticed. Also evolving Matrioshka Effect early lets you destroy flagships for 20 DNA apiece, and Titans are complete game breakers in combat. So are Witches, but you didn't unlock those (it's Reality Warpers + Vortex Collapse...there's a hint to it in the trait descriptions). There's a lot of things added to make the finale easier, you just happened to miss most of them! Well, this was as good of a video as I could have expected, given the amount of content to cover! Maybe I'll release a video of my own to cover more of the plot (like the whole conspiracy plotline, and the part where the Avatars of the Spiral explain what Spiral Entities are, and the part where Gene becomes a magical girl). Maybe. Oh, and everyone who is arguing about what it's based on: YOU ARE ALL CORRECT. It started out as an Uzumaki / Gurren Lagann story but then I decided to add stuff, and I guess you can say it ( •_•)>⌐▼-▼ (⌐▼_▼) spiraled out of control
Soooo Most of the spiral art is from manga Junji Ito's "Uzumaki" There was some elements of stands from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure There was ironing aliens from FLCL And a lot of mecha (including Evangelion and Gurren Lagann) Also fruit are probably from One Piece, and some of the images are from Hunter x Hunter and Attack on Titan It is the ultimate anime scenario so let's try and find every reference
"Uniqueness" for me translates to BNHA or Stray Dogs. "Weapon manifestation" could be Hundred or Absolute Duo. Soul Eater perhaps? "Soul Gems" could be from Flip Flappers, but I'm not really sure. Psychic powers go to Mob Psycho 100. "Astral Projection" is definitely a Stand. Did someone replay the game to find all the references?
As people have mentioned, this scenario primarily draws from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Other draws are there, though (you noticed Attack on Titan for one, there's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and a bit of Madoka Magica that I can immediately ID as well.) Specifically, this draws from before the series starts. You are playing through a overview Lordgenome's, Gene Tepplin's, backstory, with the ability to cause different outcomes to occur. He is a "Spiral Warrior" of immense potential, and as a result is one of the strongest humans of his time, far outstripping what the Abilities tab showed you in possibility. The Enemy is a race known as the "Anti-Spirals" who have, as they stated near the end, suppressed their will to expand and conquer. They do this to avert an in-verse catastrophe known as the Spiral Nemesis, which would annihilate all matter in the universe. Bad news, as you can imagine. That's where the cure comes in once the Anti-Spirals attack. It represents how much they have broken Humanity's Will to fight back and grow, not a proper "cure" as you would think of it. Or, more accurately, it represents how much they've broken Gene Tepplin's Will. The canonical ending to this scenario is 100% Cure after the Anti-Spirals attack, the "Spiral has been Subsumed" failure ending. This is also actually the "Golden Ending" for this set up, ironically enough, as it leads into TTGL proper and the true Golden Ending. Winning is basically creating the titular Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann early. Or more accurately, SUPER Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, given that you start the final battle by summoning a "giant of light" and taking control of it. However, Gene Tepplin has not experienced enough about Spiral Power to understand the full ramifications. He only does after his will has been broken and he becomes Lordgenome. As you noticed in the ending, it casts a shadow on who was good and who was evil. Gene Tepplin has not been tempered enough to restrain his use of Spiral Power on his own. Winning against the Anti-Spirals here results in him becoming a mad tyrant becoming exactly the harbinger of the apocalypse the Anti-Spirals were guarding against. We are "Evil" at this point. Its only later, when Simon, the main protagonist of TTGL proper, takes up the mantle of Spiral Warrior that humanity can win without becoming an all consuming horror. This scenario is actually a bit chilling to me when I think about all this. For those who know the series, it shows just how close humanity was to going over the edge. That the wrong person leading the charge can doom everyone, even if he means well for the people he fights for. This Indigo Phoenix guy made a very amazing scenario. It boggles my mind that this was even possible in the framework of a "kill everyone with a virus" simulation.
There are actually 2 more endings. One where Gene sacrifices his life to stop the anti-spirals, and one where he spares the anti-spirals at the last second(by devolving the "attack" symptom when the cure is below 5%). Sparing them tempers humanity enough that they promise to be responsible with spiral power.
As soon as I saw Astral projection, my mind immediately confirmed that this is an anime based scenario Imagine getting infected by a prion and suddenly you have Star Platinum beating the shit out of a bully🤣
Watches true ending and noticed that this scenario is inspired by Gurren Lagan and even has the mechs and Anti-Spiral ships Aka the flying feet and hands
I’ve seen people mentioning the jojo references, the obvious gurenn lagan references, and the obvious references to uzumaki, but like am I the only one who noticed the one piece devil fruits with “special powers”
Mark my words. This drill will open a hole in the universe! And that hole will be a path for those behind us! The dreams of those who have fallen...The hopes of those who will follow! Together those dreams weave to make a double helix, drilling a path towards tomorrow! And that's Teggen Toppa! That is Gurren Laggan! My drill is the drill... THAT CREATES THE HEAVENS!
They had Kyubey from Madoka Magica in the magical companions thing and I'm pretty sure that the soul gems are from there too! The icon for the clothes thing was Sailor Chibi Moon and the whole upgrade seemed like a magical girl costume.
The spirals are clearly drills, too along with the mechs. This is a Gurren Lagann reference damn it! How many more references can they just fit in one scenario?
Fun Studio Gainax fact: Evangelion and its Kaiju the 'Angels' all have Cores. These cores ALSO run on Spiral power! Yep. They reused the technobabble from their series on despair and recycled it for their series on defiance.
@@m0n5a80 The truth is, it's a Madoka Magica reference. Kyubey showed in one of the events. Astral projection and fusion are more Steven Universe. One of the events showed a silhouette similar to Pearl.

I think each "path" is inspired by a different thing. The "normal" one with symptoms is Uzumaki, the Ascension one seems to draw from a lot of things but maybe primarily evangelion, and the alien one is obviously Gurren Lagann

I just got home and was happy I caught the video early. And then it's one hour long and I settle down with some cran juice for a nice long video lmfaooo the Lord works hard but Pravus works harder
It's a reference to the anime "Gurren Laggan" where the power of the spiral allowed humanoids to evolve faster and faster, with the truth of the power being that the power will make larger and larger galaxies and eventually make black holes that would consume each other and and up completely restarting the universe
People are remarking on the TTGL side of things, but did anyone else notice the screen cap from Kill la Kill in the "The Spiral Entity is reacting" pop-up?
my issue with these types of scenarios is how cool of an idea it is to be wasted on a restrictive setup like this game, like at first it makes sense to have to worry about the cure as it only appears to be a basic disease, but after a certain point there is no reason people would want to cure it. like when it's the only thing protecting your planet from being destroyed by aliens there is no reason people would be trying to get rid of it but due to the style of the game it has to continue the cure. tbh if there were a game based off of this i would be very happy, but to due the games restrictions you can't get the full effect of what's going on here
Actually it is possible to remove cure research and/or repurpose the cure bar. At first the reason why they keep trying to cure it is because they realize that the aliens are only attacking because they are infected. Later on (after the aliens give their lecture) the cure bar represents how close Gene is to despair / being corrupted (which is based on how many people are dying), and in the finale it shows how well you are doing in the fight and is completely unrelated to cure research. The mechanics were intended. (It isn't possible to make the cure bar say anything other than "cure" though.)
21:30 >Unique Powers >Costumes reflective of the [User] generate from within >Physical manifestation of the soul [Stands] by their side and fights in their place Ah the JoJo Route. Good choice.
Okay so, this has refrences to: Uzumaki, Gurenn Lagan, Steven Universe, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece, Madoka Magica. Which makes me wonder if Pravus has seen anything ever because these are huge names in anime
Many go "Spiral?" and keep going, "wait this isn't Gurren Lagann?!?!?!", only to finally be rewarded, feeling satisfied, and impressed! Side note, love the one transmission is the spiral itself. Well done Indigo, well done good sir, this is one amazing scenario! (and if we weren't weeb enough, we got a laugh seeing Fooly Cooly, and others making an appearance)
The Grim Reaper ... REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I like that pun EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That was fucking incredible... rarely have I been that captivated by anything... movies don't manage it to keep me as thrilled and entertained as the last hour of watching this story have been... And I assume your narrating style takes a huge part in it... absolutely amazing!
The fusion of souls into one huge Gestalt entity is literally Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is (not) the end is also exactly how their movie titles look. You can (not) advance for example. Or You can (not) redo. Edit: Later on there was a mention of the "Twin Solenoid" engine. In Neon Genesis Evangelion, all the aliens are powered by S2 engine cores, which is a shorthand for Twin Solenoid Engines.
I think it's inspired by Junji Ito's Uzumaki (Spiral in English) which was a horror manga centered around... spirals. Many pictures are taken from it as well as most traits
Let's count: Uzumaki Spiral (Naruto) Spiral fruits that give powers (One Piece) F-ing Kuybey and soul gems (Madoka Magica) (also might be reference to Steven Universe) Astral projections being the manifestation of the spirit that are weaponized(JoJo/SMT/Persona) Spiral Drill to pierce the heavens (Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann) Mecha and humanoid robots: (entire Mecha genre, - dr Tepplin - Evangelion) Spiral Sphere - Rasengan (Naruto), Hadouken (Street Fighter) Titans (Attack of Titan) Unique abilities - Quirks ( Boku no Hero Academia) Conclusion: We have a anime fan over there.
Buckle in folks. It's gonna be a loooooong scenario.

I swear I only thought about junji ito till I realized GUREN LAGANN is also about spirals
The mind of a genius, to make a horror manga in to Gurren lagann XD
People are remarking on the TTGL side of things, but did anyone else notice the screen cap from Kill la Kill in the "The Spiral Entity is reacting" pop-up?
There's also a "Spiral Clothes" symptom combo. Spiral prions = life fibers
Yeah, I realized that shortly after making my original comment
Those damn antispirals stopping humanity from moving foward!
I figured it was Guren Lagann related, but the Projection Effect confirmed it.
Plague Inc: Evolved; Gurenn Lagan Edition
15:00 it's meant to sound like a laugh, but it's also a nod to the prion disease known as Kuru.
You're not wrong, but "kurukuru" also denotes spinning or coiling in Japanese. Pretty fitting, don't you think?
I wonder if Indigo Fenix chose the prion because it is spiral-shaped
Thank you for grinding it through. That was really enjoyable.
And thanks to Indigo Phoenix for creating this scenario.
One big anime typhoon scenario. Nice.
my issue with these types of scenarios is how cool of an idea it is to be wasted on a restrictive setup like this game, like at first it makes sense to have to worry about the cure as it only appears to be a basic disease, but after a certain point there is no reason people would want to cure it. like when it's the only thing protecting your planet from being destroyed by aliens there is no reason people would be trying to get rid of it but due to the style of the game it has to continue the cure. tbh if there were a game based off of this i would be very happy, but to due the games restrictions you can't get the full effect of what's going on here
Actually it is possible to remove cure research and/or repurpose the cure bar.
JoJo's Stands, One Piece Devil Fruits, Guren Lagan's Spirals. Every anime fan's dream scenario. lol
You forgot the evil cat thing from madoka magica
Or nightmare considering you're more likely to end up as a statistic than a main character
21:30
>Unique Powers
>Costumes reflective of the [User] generate from within
>Physical manifestation of the soul [Stands] by their side and fights in their place
Ah the JoJo Route.
Good choice.
this is a reference to gurren lagan, its an anime, a very good one
This has Guran Lagan written all over it and I love it XD
edit: Called it!

Oh shit I wasn’t expecting an Evangelion ending.
*komm susser todd plays*
Okay so, this has refrences to: Uzumaki, Gurenn Lagan, Steven Universe, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece, Madoka Magica.
Which makes me wonder if Pravus has seen anything ever because these are huge names in anime
"Enemy flagship" event is also a reference to the final boss in FTL
@@christiaanprinsloo8951 I don't think so. Flagship is a common term in both sci fi and real life navies.
Row row fight the powah

Stando Powah
love that the final one is just mechs
Flcl reference mecha and giant hand robots oh my lord.
“Steve you’ve got crazy eye!!! 🤪
Get him out of the fucking water.”
Not only do we have anime references for days, we even have Steven Universe? This person is awesome.
This entire scenario is just spiraling out of control
The Grim Reaper
...
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I like that pun EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
*Ba dum tish*
This has to be the longest Plague Inc. video Pravus has made. *EVER.*
Tool lateralus playing in the background
That was fucking incredible... rarely have I been that captivated by anything... movies don't manage it to keep me as thrilled and entertained as the last hour of watching this story have been... And I assume your narrating style takes a huge part in it... absolutely amazing!
gurenn lagan. its exactly the precursor to the anime lol
In Neon Genesis Evangelion, all the aliens are powered by S2 engine cores, which is a shorthand for Twin Solenoid Engines.
reasonable time *records 1 hour video*. This is very long.
Edit: Too much anime references on this scenario.
You mean to little!
I think it's inspired by Junji Ito's Uzumaki (Spiral in English) which was a horror manga centered around... spirals. Many pictures are taken from it as well as most traits
Let's count:
Uzumaki Spiral (Naruto)
Spiral fruits that give powers (One Piece)
F-ing Kuybey and soul gems (Madoka Magica) (also might be reference to Steven Universe)
Astral projections being the manifestation of the spirit that are weaponized(JoJo/SMT/Persona)
Spiral Drill to pierce the heavens (Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann)
Mecha and humanoid robots: (entire Mecha genre, - dr Tepplin - Evangelion)
Spiral Sphere - Rasengan (Naruto), Hadouken (Street Fighter)
Titans (Attack of Titan)
Unique abilities - Quirks ( Boku no Hero Academia)
Conclusion: We have a anime fan over there.
Uzumaki by Junji Ito might be more accurate
What a weeb
Kuru is a brain disease which occurs in New Guinea. It is caused by a prion if I remember correctly.
Probably the best scenario I've seen thus far!
This should be a movie series, as in a single movie for every ending.
ROW, ROW, FIGHT THE POWER!
Starcraft 2 reference:
Abathur: perfection is a goal that changes, can chase, cannot catch
I unconsciously started adding spirals into my drawings after watching this and now I'm scared.
They really had an ability that gives you a stand
very nice, so far just 1 alien didn't like this video
3 by my time of watching.
>soul gem
So not only Uzumaki, but Black Paradox?
Is this just a large amalgam of Junji Ito's work?
Don't believe in yourself! Believe in me! Believe in the me that believes in you!
Why do you exist
Isn't this a reference to Uzumaki? The "curse" in Japan where everything turned into spirals and a lot of people were obsessed with them?
It's a reference to 4 different anime/manga.
@@lane7018 Oh ok
Yours is the drill that will pierce the heavens!
Who saw Dio Brando in the custom scenarios?
