Glad to see you back on the camno again! Getting me excited about doing the next stage of my own camino this summer (hopefully!). Buen camino and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Caroline - yes, it was a lovely route. And sleep was a little easier to come by because I was so tired and due to the lack of people on the route, there was minimal snoring to contend with hahaha
Thanks Olaf! I wish you all the best for your Camino in September. It’s a beautiful walk. Just make sure you plan your stops a bit better than I did (you’ll see in the later videos coming up that we made a few mistakes in that department)
@@olafwe8881 yes, I made lots of mistakes on the Invierno that you can definitely learn from hahaha 🙈. Yes, I have done both the Frances and Portuguese too. I made videos about those as well
Brilliant first instalment, the route looks stunning, shame about the lack of food 🙄. Just watched it in our hotel in Los Argos after our first 6 days of the Camino Frances. It’s been fabulous so far. Keep up the great work.
Hi Stephen, as always thank you for your support. Yes, unfortunately a lack of food choices seemed to be the theme of the day on the Invierno… I’m so pleased to hear that you’re having a great time on the road!
Nice video! How would you generally rate the difficulty of Camino de invierno? I am going in September, I did Camino Portugues last year, which was ok. But I keep hearing about how horrible and hard Invierno is. Is it really that bad? I saw the profile, I understand there are lots of ups and downs, but usually seem rather short and not overwhelming. I am going with two friends who have not walked Camino before so I hope it is going to be ok. What about amenities and services along the way?
Hi Martine, thanks for watching. The Camino Invierno is as hard as you make it. Me and my friends made it much harder for ourselves because we walked some super long days and completed it in 10/11 days. I think if you take 14-16 days to do it and break the distance up better than we did, then it wouldn’t actually be that difficult. The other thing that makes it hard is the lack of shops and places for food, but if you stock up well at the supermarket then again that should alleviate further hardship. I hope you have a wonderful time because the scenery really is quite spectacular at times :)
@@harryjamesroth Thank you for your quick response! I am getting a bit restless :D We will have about 12 days, we thought it would be enough since it's usually divided into 10 stages, so we added two extra days. We'll just have to see how it works out :D anyways, I am gonna watch your videos. Keep it up!
So glad you are vlogging one of the lesser travelled Caminos. Nice looking first day. How much weight are you carrying? I know you have a lot of camera gear.
Thank you so much for checking the video out. I was carrying 18kg with the all of the camera gear and it did make the challenging days quite a bit more challenging hahaha. My backpack on it’s own was 11kg.
A welcome return to my viewing! Looking forward to seeing how the adventure progresses. Thanks for posting these videos.
Thanks Simon. I appreciate your support as always 👌

Hope you sleep well. Looks a lovely route.

Great to see your vlogs again. Really enjoyed watching your last two caminos and looking forward to this one.
Hi Gavin, thank you as always for your kind words and support. Hope all is well with you :)
Great video. I am looking forward to walk this camino in september 🙂

@@harryjamesroth I will watch the videos and hopefully learn :-) You made the francais and the portugues?

@@harryjamesroth I have seen the one of the portugues. I did in 2021 and the primitivo last year.
@@olafwe8881 how was the Primitivo? And how long did it take you? It’s something that I would like to do - maybe even later this year…
Great visuals…
Thank you :)
Nice to see you on the road again, looking forward to see the next stages.
Thanks Hammock Dweller :) Hope all is well with you :)
@@harryjamesroth I’m fine, thanks.
Wow, what a great start. Thanks for sharing your experiences. The Invierno is on my bucket list. Be well!
Hi Chris thank you for stopping by to check the video out. Best wishes from London :)
That looked amazing! Can't wait to see the rest:-)
