Unpopular Opinion: Automatic with paddle shifters are as much fun as manual transmission cars and your not less of a car guy for preferring automatic. Slamming through the gears on paddle shifters and feeling the gear change kicking your butt is super satisfying and this Porsche is super cool.
I can like both Steak and Fish. Two things can be true. Some cars are better with paddles and a PDK, some are better with a good ole fashoned manual. Neither is "wrong".

@@TenaciousTomato haha well the magnetic paddles comes with the Weissach Pack only so they are just part of the bigger package. The other things you get, as Tedward says in the clip, is the carbon exposed hood, roof, cage, other carbon bits in the interior and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting.. I've driven a 992 RS for around 1000km and the feeling from the paddles with weissach pack is totally different from other Porsche paddles. They are just not bigger in size, it's that they are magnetic which create that really tactile click.

I paid to race a bunch of cars including a twin turbo 6 hybrid (idk the number) Ferrari, a GT4 RS, GT3, Huracan and R8 to name a few. I will say the Porsche stood out above the rest. The confidence it inspires is insane and just urges you to keep pushing its limits. Particularly the GT4 cause the Mid Engine platform is superior. Not an overrated car at all
I own a 911 Carrera T 992 generation and I find it funny how much of the interior is just like all the other 992s. Makes me appreciate how Porsche designs things correctly for the base 911 and just builds up from the original concept. The fact that mine has some bits in common with the incredible GT 3 RS is very satisfying.

I’m confused as to who is!! I have some friends that have done damn well MBA’s and all and they still can’t even think of buying a car like this. I have to believe the only people buying these are trust fund babies that collect millions a year for doing nothing. That’s probably the only person I know that could afford this car. Someone I know His family owns a large salad dressing bottler and he and all his siblings and cousins collect $3 million a year each for tax purposes.

HEAR ME OUT... I've only got two issues with this car 1- Its IMO too much for a GT3RS in terms of aero. It makes me think the GT2RS is going to look ridiculous. This is what the GT2RS should have had 2- There's too much plastic everywhere. I think there should at lest be some crazy expensive option that would make this car have all the aero bits and pieces made out of carbon fibre that includes both bumpers all the canards and fins etc etc.. Sure it's a lot of carbon fibre but IRL it just ruins the look for me. At LEAST id want the plastic to come in optional glossy black plastic or even making that paint a second colour selection to play with.

@@ShaiyanHossain Yeah but if I'm not mistaken you can only do that via that specific customisation department of Porsche where they will customise basically everything if you pay hundred's of thousands of dollars over sticker price. It's also not a thing they do for every client. It's exclusive to highly prestigious clients. Also I have yet to see a GT3RS that's been customised to the point where all the plastic is painted (Ive only seen one where they paint matched the front bumper). And ive also yet to see a single 992 GT3RS with carbon fibre parts other than the hood, DRS wing and a couple other details
this is a track car that you can daily drive or drive from track to home. gt3 is a daily sports car that you can track. 911 is the best daily drivers car
Definitely not daily drivable, gt3rs is too harsh for the road. Even the GT3 and GT3 Touring lost the daily drivability appeal with the 992 generation, Porsche chasing lap times.
I expect to see this at Sebring. That engine is addictive. Over the top as all Hell and I love it! I volunteer to help by sitting in the passenger seat!
I had the opportunity to drive at an exotic car experience track and tried both a Ferrari 488 Challenge race car and a Porsche 991 GT3 RS and the the GT3 RS sounded ferociously fast out of the corners..crazy car!

I would just like to point out that the adjustment on the steering for the differential and such on the wheel is designed to be more of a “fine tuneing” feature. meaning u cant go so far out that say if your wife for april fools day takes ur keys without u knowing and just adjusts everything one way that u crash and die as a result of her crime against marriage
I'm not materialistic or care much about never being able to own some insane car, but seeing this made me sad for the first time. This might be the one I'd choose over everything else if I had the means.
Manual usually is when you have a stick and a clutch pedal , the paddle says “manual” because you manually select the gear you want to be , in reality is called semi-automatic
991.2 GT3 RS sounds better and is less twitchy on the front. There is little to no difference in performance on public roads and most slow to medium paced tracks and you have a useable frunk. I'm not sure what the 992 GT3 RS represents, a technical piece showing what can be done, I ditched my allocation and bought a 296 GTB instead. Better bang for buck, more interesting and kept the 991.2 GT3 RS. Win - Win.
Truly belongs on the track, not on the street. I'd prefer a non GT car for the street. On the track though......not many better options that this or a GT2 rs

Despite not being broken in, the short shifting on the GT3RS sounds just like revving 99% of sports cars out. What a machine.

They only come with the Weissach Package as well so it's like a 40 000 USD option :D They are magnetic like in the race cars.
Drove one, the paddles are so tight, take quite a force to press, have such little travel, felt very satisfying

Imo the steering wheel, on the fly suspension adjustment is the sickest part. Can't even do that in Gran Turismo.
