- I bought this out of curiosity to see why everyone seems to like actual military backpacks. They're fun packs to use with all the different attachments you can buy and use on them, I think, and--they look cool too 😎 Thank you for watching.

Yeah, too many items. I just threw stuff inside to fill out the pack and ended up with a lot to hoist onto my back. It does a great job of carrying but with my ultralight background and old age, a bit too much. Thanks for the comment partner.

Loki would not like that; cats hate change. He loves my computer chair 💺 and the top edge of my couch 🛋 🙃. They're particular about that kind of stuff. I kidnap him every so often in my car, if I go for a ride and he meows the hole time. Big baby. // Yeah, that pack is tough, heavy, and fun to play with and I've yet to take the thing on an overnighter but will someday. I tried to convey that the Molly is fun to mess around with. I only have a couple of add-ons but they're cool gadgets. You probably appreciate that since a couple of your packs HAVE Molly. Thanks for the comment Mark. What's for breakfast? You don't need to bug out , you have an attack cat to protect you ! That is a good idea using the belt on the waist pack instead on the back pack belt .

In the Military it's referred to as ASSAULT PACK. Assault Missions, unlike Patrol Missions can last up to a few days. Packs Carry Sustainables like Food, Ammo, IFAK (First Aid Kit), Water, Radio and Surveillance Equipment.
Patrol Packs are much smaller than the ASSAULT PACK and would generally carry Water and Ammo, Maps, IFAK and Binoculars.
Ruck Sacks carry Essential Gear. Clothing, Sleep System, Motor Rounds (ILBE Side Pouches), Cooking Utensils, Stoves and Heavy Gear as they are meant for prolonged Missions that can last upwards of a Month. Also, US ARMY and MARINE Rucksacks are designed to be coupled with their respective Patrol packs.
This ASSAULT PACK however is not meant to carry all the gear shown in this video. The MOLLE II MEDIUM ASSAULT PACK would be perfect as it has a Frame and a Kidney Strap.
ASSAULT pack and Patrol pack have waist belts which is meant to secure the bag but a Kidney strap found in The Medium and Large Rucksack are meant to distribute the weight and stabilize the Payload.
Civilian Use: ASSAULT PACK and Patrol pack are perfect for carrying Laptops, Camera, Books and can be used to carry Gym Gear like a Tshirt, Running shorts and a pair of snickers and it also fits perfect in School and Gym Lockers.
Additionally the waist pack shown in the video is attached incorrectly, thats why the Zipper is facing downwards and not outwards.
Waist Packs are either worn separately as a funny pack or attached at the MOLLE webbing above the US pouch.
For around $100 the MEDIUM MOLLE II RUCKSACK would be ideal for all the gear, sleeping systems you have stuffed in this pack.
ASSAULT pack are not meant for clothing just Sustainable items.
Hey! Thanks for all that valuable information. More than this old duffer can remember all at once. I bought it initially as an experiment and gained appreciation for the military 🪖 packs. I've used it plenty of times since purchasing it and try to keep things light. Usually well under 20 lbs. Never understood the faccination with camo gear but I'm converted now. Thanks again for the comment.

Just something that was laying around, close by. Off camera, this is a room where my granddaughter plays with her toys. She loves stuffed and plastic snakes. 🙂
