Great video. I also have one. Add the butt pack for extra load space. It comes off quick for a shoulder or waste bag for short hikes or gathering materials.
Good little kit. All you need for basic survival in moderate conditions. That H&B is a great sleeping bag at a really good price. When I buy another sleeping bag it will be that one in 0° with the hammock holes at each end.
I hadn't seen the assault pack until now. It is smaller. I have the medium and large packs. If you get a medium make certain you get the right straps with it. The medium holds much more than what you took out, over 3000 ci. Then I got two sustainment pouches and the waist pack for under it. Waist pack is small and you could fit two under the medium pack. I love both of mine. Thanks. Take Care and Stay Safe.
I own a medium ruck, absolutely love the pack. A bit too big for small trips though. Its more less a 5 day pack. It's a great and really comfortable pack. Been looking at those 3 day packs for smaller applications. This video really helped, thanks!
Definitely good for summer weekend or maybe a winter overnighter. Can't hardly get enough in it for multiple winter days without adding butt packs. Thanks for watching.
Powhatan descendant here too 💪👍 just got the same 3day pack as well! I put the same canteen molle on same side as well as 4 grenade molle's on it as well works out great for extra storage in smaller pouches !
I have the same pack put sustainment pouch on each side and Fanny pack on the bottom works great without being to heavy plenty of cooking pots gi mess kit fire kit, dd 4x4 goes in one sustainment pouch and klymit inflatable xl sleep pad in the other sustainment pouch snugpackxl in main compartment very happy with it figure it is about 60 liter of storage
I am definitely gonna e bay me one of these, and a 2 pack of molle sustainment pouches and the matching molle butt pack for underneath it, I know it's a very hi quality pack, military surplus and as of now everything in that acu pattern is VERY CHEAP, I am a old skool woodland camo pattern kinda man, but that acu pattern dont bother ME AT ALL!!
This pack (8/27/'24) runs for about $55.00!!! Thanks for your video. I put the link below to the Sportsman's Guide surplus store. Hope you don't mind the share.
Very useful video. I have the FILBE Assault Pack but i am looking for a bag, that is a little bit smaller. Just a point of mention; Look into getting a couple of Macs Sacks, to compress some of that soft gear. That little ruck can really hold alot of stuff. Thx again, Bro...
That's a nice load out for the pack, perhaps you could go into how you went about dyeing it, without ruining the foam in the shoulder straps. Thanks. TAKE CARE..
It's all washable and designed to get wet.. I put boiling water in a thick plastic toat (bin), along with the dye and just let it soak for a while. Then I hung out outside to air dry in the shade... Still the same pattern but it toned it down quite a bit
Hi, i have a problem with molle II assault pack, basically that rubbery waterproof parts of inside leave some sticky marks on things like bottles. Do you know how to fix this maybe? Thanks.
@@ukaszk.6590 mine doesn't have that pad. I took it out because it kept bunching up.. i just put something soft against my back like a jacket or shirt.. if that's what you're talking about.
@@AK4PJ im talking about this part your thumb is touching in ~7:16, its over the zipline (sorry for bad English). Its this waterproof material thats like rubbery, its inside of every pocket. It leaves some stains on different things like plastic bottles. Is it normal or i just have old and worn backpack? Thanks!
@@ukaszk.6590 that I don't have the same problem.. could be cause of the way I did mine though.. i dyed it. so put it in hot water for a while. so could have did something to mine to keep it from doing that. not sure
Great videos man.. I dont even care about the "how to/review" stuff you're going over.. but your "presence" makes me listen to the whole video. My only suggestion would be have separate channels for the singing/guitar videos. The "manly/outdoor/how to" type videos should be on their own channel. I really do think your channel would do really well if you kept each "type" of video isolated from each other... I like the singing videos, you do great covers. But people like me dont want to see them, and the singing people/cover people probably don't want to see the "outdoorsy/how to" videos.
I never did weigh it.this was more just for quantity practice load.... The dye was a mix of dark green work a bit of black mix. I didn't measure, Went more by eye.
Just acquired my 2nd assault pack. I appreciate your time helping me with my inventory.
You can also make strap extenders.

I agree, the woodland Camouflage is the Best. ACU Camouflage is doable
For the life of me i cant understand the hate for the ACU Digi Camo. I love it. Thank God nobody else does, makes it super cheap
You can always dye or spraypaint ACU
Thanks for sharing. I just got one of these and was wondering what to put in it

Great video great pack without getting to big
Nice video, I've been buying, M81, and ACU gear over the last 11 months, my plans with the ACU is to dye it solid black, and or OD.
Why ruin it like that? Theres nothing wrong with DCU
Thanks for the great video 👍 it was very helpful😁
Thank you that's an excellent video you got what you need...
Have the same Molle 2 pack w SAW pouches a d butt pack in Multicam OCP
The fanny pack is also a hip belt, even if you don’t put anything in it
Note to all: Hyke & Byke makes come great, light camping gear. Easy to find once you know how to spell it..!

what do you call the pouch attached to the side of your backpack? need one for my 2liter jug
Canteen pouch. You can find them fairly cheap all over the internet.
