Ikomikidomoe consumed a vast amount of power after fighting Barragan; so he got far stronger before challenging Soul Society. Furthermore, he and Barragan ended their fight due to an affinity (spontaneously liking or respecting each other). This context is supported based on his praising Barragan throughout the novel, putting him above the other Arrancars he encountered. Sealed sword Ikomikidomoe was said to be comparable or greater than Barragan in raw power. In that state he blatantly admitted that his old form(which attacked Soul Society) was stronger than that form. So he stopped fighting Barragan due to his respect for him, consumed countless things across Hueco Mundo, the Living World and then Soul Society (adding them to himself) and then fought the Soul Reapers.
See I thought that originally as well but it doesn't make sense within the context of the story. The reason I say that is because of WHEN ikomikidomoe praises barragan. He was in the middle of fighting multiple quincy and arrancar including grimjow and halibel in resurreccìon form. We know this took place after tybw and just halibel and grimmjaw alone should be stronger then barragan as shown in the fake karakura town. But ikomikidomoe calls them weak and even insults halibel by thinking she's just one of his concubines. It's after all this that he reminisces and praises barragan. The only reason this literal calamity who is singularly focused on devouring everything in its path would respect someone is if they are just as powerful. Otherwise he would have just devoured barragan as well. So again the creature at no more then half it's power, calls two arrancars that have grown in power weak, while simultaneously reminiscing and praising barragan from back before his power was sealed. He def remembers the strength barragan had when they were fighting before their truce and respects that power over these other two espada who should be stronger while he himself is on a weakened state.

@Aizen’s World ah I haven't seen that. I guess I'll give that a watch. I guess my thought was that grimmjaw was def stronger in the twby and everyone has outscaled the previous arc. But even still multiple quincies and arrancars vs 1 adjucas class who's greatly nerfed is a huge disparity. And my mind goes straight to quincy > byakuya (at least during the first envasion) > 0 espada yammy > barragan. But I guess there is a lot of nuisance scaling I'd have to consider. I'll also check that video out.
He's an absolute beast in virtually every sense and more so since he's battled basically every other OP machine and held out. Its interesting that he respected Barragan while he was one of the few beings Barragan was truly afraid of. The fact that he was the weapon of psychopath Tokinada is unnerving, the worlds got really lucky this time. Given what Tokinada was planning to unleash it's fitting he met his end the way he did, written off as typically deadly noble feuding.
That's exactly what makes him so hard to scale. His feats against characters in the novel are obsurd. And that's all without his true name . Meaning he's not at full power. Then he praises barragan? So he stale mates barragan but then fights 3 beings simultaneously that should have surpassed barragans power after and aizen hygoku Amp? And he should have been way stronger when he fought barragan? Make it make sense
@@prsuave420 It's probably because of Barraggan's hax. His time mist thing was busted as all hell. Or maybe Barraggan let himself go and got complacent when he became king.

Cuz if he had the same amount of power as we saw in fake karakura town but was just relying on hax then he still.would have lost. As aizen explained that someone with significantly more sp can override abilities of weaker opponents
Ikomikidomoe is the being in CFYOW I find to be the most confusing in terms of power. From the way he is described, he should be nearly unstoppable, but given how he was defeated and him not being able to take down Barragan, it makes it kinda hard to really gauge how strong he is compared to the current day characters with more hax abilities. Still, the concept of his character is really cool.
The curse was getting weaker with time , so it's normal. Sk fragment just gave him enough powers to remember his name It doesn't mean, ichibei's powers can't work on those related to sk , if not Yhwach is more than just a mere fragment, he is his son but he was affected by it.
it's most notable abilities are spawning unlimited amount of adjuchas level hollows and it's roar not to mention the combination of cero and heilig bogen
He is pretty strong but I have seen people argue he is stronger that Ichibei just cause he broke his seal which I heavily disagree since Ichibei in the past was kinda fodder to tybw Ichibei since we literally see Ichigo after losing his powers doing pretty much the same thing with OMZ

By that line of logic prime ikomikidomoe is sub ss ichigo yet he slapped young yama, was arguably above pre aa Barry, contained so many konpaku that he could collapse the cosmology, etc but pre ss ichigo is clearly above such feats💀
