I think Hikone can be seen as a cautionary tale of what Ichigo could have been, if he hadn't been raised by good people like Isshin and Masaki. A insanely powerful hybrid, that is seen as nothing but a tool for those in power. Adding to that parallel is that both of them were going to be made into a lifeless lynchpin, but they instead got a happy ending. Hope you do Tokinada next! He is a really cool and important villain in the series, so a video on him would be great!
Good assessment. Most of those with power in the series are or where pawns, be it Ginjo's followers being expendable for his revenge or the Esapada by Aizen. Tokinada is quite a terrifying villain of the saga, the personfication of Soul Society's power tripping nobility made worse by the fact that he's typical of them.

You can’t use Zaraki to debunk Hikone’s strength as he’s had 6 months to increase in power & there was no ceiling placed on Zaraki initially. CFYOW Zaraki is far stronger than TYBW Zaraki. Ichigo unleashed Dangai form and Mugetsu (both transcendent!) in 3 months and Zaraki had more time. He CANNOT be your point of reference. As for Aizen, the difference in Reiatsu between fighting with limited intent vs fighting to win(with RESOLVE) can be VAST, as already proven in the manga and databooks. Key terms: ‘take on’. Suitable that Hikone is powerful as a replacement for the Spirit King. Tokinada's ultimate ace up the sleeve. It's great that Hikone ultimately got a happy ending, being essentially emancipated from being a psycho's weapon and puppet and leading a normal life. A far cry from being willing to kill to please his old maniac master.

You could argue Toshiro and Byakuya since narratively speaking and portrayal wise, their TYBW selves were stronger than sealed and Shikai Kenpachi and they were written out of the story to go assist Ichigo with a threat he couldn’t defeat on his own. It was a lie made by the Gotei, but the perceived threat was someone above Hikone And if someone tries to debunk by saying Byakuya scales to Tokinada, that’s Base to Base/Shikai to Shikai. Byakuya’s Bankai should give massive amps to put him on that level, as Byakuya kinda like a Ichigo or Toshiro uses Bankai’s defense state as his standard combat form and then him switching to attack mode would be a massive amp like Ichigo masking up or Toshiro using Tenso Jurin
I think Hikone can directly contend with Zaraki and Aizen. However, I do think that Yhwach and Ichigo are still too powerful for Hikone to hang with, at least at this point in time.
