- In this tutorial video I'll show you how to crochet the textured box stitch, which is a modern waffle stitch, for blankets and scarves.
Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. The crochet textured box stitch is a nice pattern that works for a blanket, shawl, scarf, hat, and other handmade items. It's a pretty simple pattern to remember, so it works up rather quickly. For my sample I'm using 100% worsted weight yarn and a size 5 mm crochet hook. You can substitute with whatever yarn you prefer along with its suggested crochet hook.

Hi Donna 👋
I've been crocheting for 40 + years, so sometimes I can get burned out or bored with the "tried and true" stitches/patterns so it's wonderful to learn new ideas from you !
You're a great instructor & I'm inspired and appreciative of your videos !!🧶

I want to try this one too and I’m also gonna have to watch it over and over and over and over again so I can comprehend and get it through my head. What we’re supposed to do I want to make a special blanket for my granddaughter and grandson, something different, besides a double crochet stitch, Just gotta figure out how many stitches to make a throw blanket that’s what throws me off
As always Donna what a wonderful pattern! You are truly a great teacher! Thank you so much….you crochet Diva!
Thank you much!
Thank you for you’re instructions. The stitch is coming along beautifully. Your instructions are great, but a bit fast. I had to continually rewind, but I got the job done.
You can slow down UA-cam videos by clicking on the gear icon, then select playback speed, then select something very slow like .25 and adjust it from there.
@@naztazia will do. Thanks for the tip.
You are good- PERIOD ❤. I am 76 and have been crocheting since 12. I stick to the same patterns in general. For me,if I put the product down, I want to pick it up and keep crocheting where I left off. Thanks.
I really like this stitch. Thanks ❤
You’re welcome 😊

Now I've nearly finished with my babyblanket I'm searching for the perfect border. What do you suggest, Donna? Is there a tutorial on your channel that I can use?

That's a cute stitch...
Absolutely loved this pattern. I created in 3 shades of pink and white. Just what to know what is the best border for this blanket?
Love this! Very pretty ❤️
I love this!
Beautiful stich ❤
Thank you! 😊
Gracias por compartir 😘🇲🇽👏👏💐💐💐💐💐🌹🌹
Very Nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
It looks like corner to corner. But horizontal not diagonal
Right!
Love this stitch! Is there a way to start centerout? Or in the round?
Lovely just watched your video can u do the one of different colors
Lovely stitch. How do you end last row to make a border????
How do you calculate the amount of stitches you need for all four sides of the blanket for a border? And what border would you recommend for this blanket? My edges aren't that straight even though I'm counting them and ensuring I'm ending on the correct stitch.
To make a baby blanket does the chain stitches have to be in multiples of 23?
Do you think you could use the stitch to make a beanie by sewing it together or doing it in the round
You can work it flat back and forth in a rectangle (like my sample, just a bit larger). Then sew the seam and cinch it around the top to make a nice hat.
❤❤
Hiii can you make a tutorial for a pig medium sizee plsss 🥺
Does is matter what size crochet hook I use for this pattern?
Not really. The only thing I ever suggest is use a hook size that works with the yarn you have. The yarn label usually has a suggested hooks size somewhere on it. If the hook is too big the stitches will be too loose. If the hook size is too small it could split the yarn and fall off and all. Other than that, whatever makes your work look good is the correct hook to use.
Ok thank you
👍🇦🇺👏❤💙💛💚🧡💜LOVE IT
Your going to quick for me so I will need to stop it and keep looking at it until it’s in my head lol😅
I do like your tutorials but please slow down and show more how to with hook. Please.
You can slow the video down yourself with the playback speed option on YTube. Click on the gear icon, click on Playback speed, and set it to something slower like .25.
this is the most terrifying thing i've seen in my life. this woman's crochet is too powerful.
Omg is that the trans flags??❤
🧶🥰👏👏👏😍👍😘❤️
Your video's are to fast for a beginner to learn you need to slow down so people can learn
Try using the playback speed setting YTube provides to adjust the speed of any video. Click on the gear icon, click on Playback speed, and set it to something slower like .25.
this is impossible bruh

Do you ever do in depth tutorials? I want to really learn some of your work, but feel it would make it easier if videos were longer than 3-5 minutes.
Head over to Hooked by Robin here on YT. She has in depth tutorials. She's one of my favorites.
Love this!!!
