I think the fact that they had Cesar start and finish this song was such a smart choice. He can show emotions so beautifully and the way they all got a time to shine was perfection!
"Got some little... sensations" is probably the best way to describe the build and release. This was a masterful composition from Eli: the harmonic structure combined with the rhythm of that release was brilliant. Glad to see you're enjoying your Voiceplay journey so much, they really are a terrific group! If you haven't checked it out yet, I think it's almost a rite of passage to listen to Geoff's "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold." I believe it's his most-watched video on his channel, and is a sort of gold-standard to the rest of us bass singers. Love the channel Red!
Eli has been doing a few arrangements and collaboration arrangements with Layne and will be doing more going forward. He has been handling their lighting and technical work for several years. My favorite piece of this song was the Run, Run, Run because the visual showed Eli conducting those lights. Great reaction!!
Anthony's voice reduces me to tears as soon as he starts singing in this - every time. Without exception. The emotion in his voice is just stunning. And then of course the rest just keeps me gripped.
I love all three of the premier a cappella groups out there today (VoicePlay, Home Free and Pentatonix). That voice play and attention to detail, making each song their own, is what makes VoicePlay my favorite a cappella group today.
Cesar's voice was absolutely perfect for the beginning and end of this song. They did such a great job with it 😊💜💜 i think this is your first time hearing anthony collabing with voiceplay, he has a few others with them as well including seven nation army and golden hour. Hes got a beautiful voice 😊
It took me a while to "warm up" to this version of Creep... but I made it! Your insight was spot on, as they say. This cover is almost as good as Haley Reinhart's (you really should react to her version with Post Modern Jukebox). The other one you did with the young lady on the keys all by herself was fantastic as well. Great reaction, as always!
Hello Red. Looking cuter than ever. Thanks for yet another great cover of this song. Much better than the original. It is always a treat sharing music with you.
There really aren't enough VP songs focusing on Cesar! Baritones (or even baritenors) are like the male voice equivalent of altos, and often get put in a supporting role. In fact, my one complaint about _Nothing_ _Else_ _Matters_ is that he only got a little bit of lead time. Still, this makes up for a lot!
Good job on that. I just heard a song, that I have not heard in to many years. You might check it out called Poems Prayers and Promises by John Denver. Tells how it was in CO, back in the days.
You are always beautiful but, there are times in some of these reactions and most of this one, when you nearly glow. Then you are absolutely breathtaking.
I know that it might not be your bag but, I would love to see you check out one of my favorite singers. She is classified usually as an opera singer, though she sings in various genre. Her name is Amira Willighagen. She won Holland's Got Talent in 2013 as a 9 year old self taught opera singer. I know you have a church background (your comment the other day about Heavenly Highways song books) . Where I think she shines the most is when she sings songs of faith. She is a very outspoken Christian and she doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk. Check out her life, too.
This is nice ... but there only ONE cover of Creep that rules and that is by Haley Reinhart. You will do yourself and your viewers a favor if you react to it. It is the absolute BEST.
Have you seen Brian Justin Crum's rendition of Creep? It was on America's Got Talent. I *highly* recommend it. It is better than the Radiohead version.
Hello beautiful. I rec Geoff castelluchi deep bass cover of ,I see fire , your teeth will rattle lol I rec voice play cover little mermaid medley , ha I'm back lol
They did a good job on that. Is it just me that felt they turned that into a more uplifting feeling song rather than the more of a dirge sound (in the nicest way) of the original?
Not sure about 'uplifting', but for me, they took it from angry and stalkerish to a cry to be noticed by an outcast. I especially like when it comes back to Cesar - almost as if they 'spent' all their emotion in the group sing and are left in exhaustion in the end.
@@hwyla4416 I always hated this song because of the incel stalker vibes that I got from it. As the song built I always got an underlying feeling of anger.. This is SO much better!
@@mattmid7012 Well - it could be uplifting for you. In a way it kind of is for me, but only in that I like it more. It certainly gives me better vibes, even if they can be sad. I guess I could call it cathartic?
I know you've done some upchurch reactions and thats why i wanna tell you that he just did an interview on tracy Lawrence's Roadhouse podcast and its 52 min long. I thought you might be interested but its totally up to you, i just had to let you know. If you dont know who tracy Lawrence is hes a 90s country singer, one of my favorite 90s country singers.

Miss Red, honestly I don't know what to say to you other than I've never heard of this band. I simply do not understand why you waste time these unknown pieces? There is an entire ecosystem of great singers begging for your attention! Cover artist's that never got that big break. Nightclub artists when no scout came into the club and so, on! There is a 1001 amazing artists for you to share with the world all you need do is acknowledge them! Minniva! Daniel Vase! Clare Maguire. SVRCINA, Malinda and so many others! You Choose! Example: ua-cam.com/video/ZahwYnaOpVg/v-deo.html
And I have not heard of the folks you listed. Except Malinda. By your logic, she shouldn't play them either then. She obviously enjoyed the song. How is that a 'waste' if she liked what she heard? Reaction videos are a good way to learn of new groups that you do NOT know.
Soooo, you're unhappy that she's reacting to an 'unknown piece' by a cover group you've never heard of, when she could instead be reacting to...unknown pieces by cover artists that people have never heard of? ???
You feel so strongly about it, start your own reaction channel and you can listen to what you (and only you) want to listen all of the time. This is her channel. She can do whatever she damn well pleases. And it does not have to please you. There are a zillion reactors out there. I listen to a lot of reactors who cover music I don’t care for so I just don’t listen to that particular reaction. But I don’t think I’m so freaking important that I can tell them how to run their own channel. And Malinda is hardly unknown…

Cesar is the only high school theatre kid in the group. Geoff, Layne and Eli worked at Disney World and Universal Studios.
Eli hasn't done many of Voiceplays arrangements, but I enjoy when he does. Beautiful work.
Thank you for a great reaction to Voice Play. Cesar, the guy at the beginning & end knows how to reach deep down into your soul, they all do.
This is done so beautifully. I also love Straight No Chaser singing Creep, it's so good it's goose bump time with SNC singing this.
great response. I'm so excited that Eli has committed to arranging regularly: I think this one is extraordinary (as was Eleanor Rigby).

Eli did such a beautiful job with this arrangement and Cesar is so incredible at emoting ❤
Your comments are fantastic and on point as always! Pure magic performance. Thanks again Ms. Red!
Beautiful cover!! Check out Voiceplay Hall of the Mountain King. Acapella with no words. Storytelling at its best. Thanks!
🤯
Must see Straight No Chasers version of this song
I Recommend them doing I Can’t Make You Love Me. ❤
One of the best covers of Creep EVER!! This is a h@ly 5h!t arrangement and execution in the history of this incredible song!

Their cover of 'I Can't Make You Love Me' features him heavily - it was his suggestion to do that song, and it is amazing!
Excellent cover, but for me nothing beats Justin crum , his cover is absolutely haunting.
I’ll have to check it out

Voiceplay's version of Seven Nation Army is their best work in my eyes. You should check it out
