*The (one) good thing about being old is you have many experiences. One of my best ones is of seeing Metallica at The Stone in San Francisco, in early 1983. I later learned Cliff Burton's first show with the band was on 5 March 1983 at The Stone in SF. And, Metallica only played The Stone twice in early '83...both times were in March. Dave Mustaine was still in the band as well. And their first album, Kill 'Em All, was not yet done. They blew me away. Because at the time Metal was like, well, Judas Priest's; Screaming For Vengeance. Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind__etc.. All Great albums that I wore out...but Metallica changed metal in 1983...IMO.*
