That take on smurfs is WILD. Expecting low ranks to learn after getting curb stomped by smurfs is...fine, but the match won't be fun or fair for them in a "competitive" setting and thats the problem
Matchmaking exists to keep people engaged in games. Who knew 🙄 Edit: annnnd the comment I left saying the same thing I said here is gone. Bruh.
I think the take is fair when it comes to moderate smurfs. Like a diamond player smurfing in a gold lobby. And people that believe they deserve a much higher rank shouldn't have a problem with smurfs like that, because if they do deserve it they should be just as good as the smurf.
@@DaisiesTC I'm not certain diamond in gold is smurfing either because metal ranks are allowed to group within two skill tiers. So a diamond grouping with a gold is totally within the game's rules.
But through learning eventually they will be competitive Like Jay said, this is how it used to be, you just joined a lobby and if the players were better than you, you got better to compete
@@ccricers Its still smurfing in this context because its implied that they're on a smurf account rather than their main. When a diamond queues with a gold, it evens out the matchmaking to adjust for that diamond being in the lobby versus a diamond being on a gold account will face all golds.
as a brig main u should now use brig bash mostly for movement . only use it to enemy when u really know u will kill or just to secure kill . also for some rare case to get inspire . except if u were in rally mode cause u just gotta go in and destroy them lmao
@@haziqrashid7669there were multiple opportunities to secure easy kills with it which he didn't take. This is most likely because he also seems to use it almost only as a tool for movement, which definitely is not what you should do. Bash should be used for both depending on the situation you're in.
Honestly, the worst thing about him is his rally usage, there are so many good opportunities to use it he waits and then dies with it. It is an ult that makes you very hard to kill but he usually dies mid-ult.
Holds ult for too long and doesn't hold shield enough. Didn't give enough respect to enemy Hanzo. This person definitely looks better than Bronze here, but as others have said, he needs to play more. He definitely needs to use his shield more, especially any time he's walking out in the open. I really liked some of the quick retreats he did with shield bash though. Just needs the mechanics to go with it and he'll start climbing easily. But that will never happen if he's only playing 5 games a season lmfao.
The thing is that in metal ranks its pretty much just 99% mechanics, especially below plat. Probably why he prefers brig is because its probably the easiest support in terms of mechanical skill.
the thing about low ranks is they dont learn very quick and they might be fairly new to the game and still learning the mechanics so i agree that smurfs ruin the game for ppl like that bc you cant expect a silver to pick up things a smurf gm widow is doing just bc its hard to learn mechanics used by a top tier player, these smurfs probably have thousands of hours on a character they probably know tricks for that character they know how to react to a counter they know how to play around their counters and you cant possibly expect a player with a couple hundred hours in the game to take all that in, analyze it and act on it… imo

And i doubt it happens as often for you to count on it to be a better player , you can just go to comp rank up to masters and get Gm1 or gm2 s regularly in your matches but for some reasons you dont . And as far as I have looked ( Going against a way better opponent improve your gameplay ) this statement is partially true and sometimes doesnt even work because if the gap is too big u cant learn anything but become frustrated and harm yourself mentally , And that is precise reason there is a system called ranking you go against who is either similar , slightly better or sometime quite better than you but you cant expect much if you go against a top 500 widow as a gold or plat you will just be playing dying simulater .While i will accept that accepting defeat and still trying to be better does make you mentally stronger but lets accept it nobody is playing the game to improve as a person but to have fun or relax or sometimes stomp on enemise and win to feel good . And stratagies that work in high elos doesnt always work on low elos because of the differnce of understanding of the game ,and you cant just say that oh i can perform good against the grandmaster in chess but i cant win against a state level chess champ this just looks funny amd seems like a excuse , because adapting to situations is infact a skill which good players have or should have . 3rd :- All i see is high level of copiam . Even if i agree on your playmaking capabilites you cant just 1v5 in a team game XD you have to rely on team which gets better WHEN YOU RANK U IN RANKED (mostly). You might be expirenced in judging teamcomp but you cant judge someones skill level by seeing the charecter they play . and reverse roll happens quite often and you should definately try to correct someones mistakes regardless of their appreciation . I disagree with the whole "playing against smurfs is good because you learn more." Ya maybe if you're already master or grandmaster, but if you're bronze/silver, you don't learn anything by repeatedly dying before you get a chance to even really play
As someone that plays a ton of Brig I'd say his play probably deserves low Gold. His awareness leaves a lot to be desired but that will come from PLAYING MORE! Jesus man you can't expect to grow if you dont get in the game time.
This is my third time commenting on one of these videos. I am a gold tank and have been as high as 3300. I took some time off and started playing with some friends who are not so good so I dropped and now I can’t get back up. I am definition of elo hell. Pop off every game and get nothing in return. I promise you I will keep up with any diamond and most masters tanks out there. Let me prove it
Ngl, if ur saying ur a 1 trick while in bronze you either need to swap the guy ur trying to 1 trick or just play multiple people instead of one singular character
In bronze you can one trick any support and climb if you just have good mechanics. His problem is he's only doing placement matches so he never gets enough experience to develop good gamesense on when to hold or go in. Videos are great and all but watching ML7 play support and break things down isn't suddenly going to give you his skills or thousands of hours ingame. I'll admit I was terrible at Ana for probably the first 60 hours I played her but as I got to know the maps my positioning improved and the more games I played the better my aim with sleep dart got to where I can pretty consistently flick it up to hit a blading genji coming down at me. Brig is even more simple of a character baseline and isn't terribly hard to master. Most of his issues come from pack spam, positioning, and diving in when he shouldn't. He just needs experience but he's never gonna get it doing just placements then not playing the rest of the season.
@@jake9854 Yes but 99 percent of the playerbase is no where his skill or gamesense. We are talking about a bronze player not someone with multiple top spots on the leaderboard.
I dont really agree with the whole, "the team made him look good". I mean thats how you win games.... by having competent team members. You can't expect to win if your the only decent player on the team because overwatch requires team effort and skill to win. Thats like saying "your bad cause your team Is good" meanwhile the person got 30 kills and lows deaths and decent damage. Just because they had a good team doesn't take away from the fact that they did their part in the matches that they played. Just my 2 cents. Having a good team is required to win lol
I mean he isn't utterly terrible but he lacks awareness, doesn't use his packs properly, and doesn't play aggressively enough in order to "carry" games. If he starts playing more he is gonna learn those things and climb. For now he deserves maybe mid Silver but nothing higher
You know, I once said I deserved gold so you know what I did? I focused up and a week later I was in gold. Sometimes you do get screwed over but if you actually try, you will get there eventually
Eh, length of time spent isn't a useful metric. Everyone plays Overwatch more than others so a week can mean 20 games to some and 50 games to others. This guy says he only plays enough for one update per season so clearly a week isn't gonna help. It's a lot more meaningful to say "I played XX games and now I'm gold".
Awareness, positioning, whipshot accurasy, ability usage etc. There are tons of things that make the difference between a high and low rank brig player.
I play fighting games, and I love getting beat up by players who are way way better than me. You learn so many things that you wouldn't otherwise, and I'd actually love it if there was a way to consistently play overwatch matches with people above my skill level. Ranked is not the place for that though. If you're playing Tracer you might not even notice the enemy Genji is a smurf constantly killing your backline, and there's not much to learn from a match where your whole team is being held in spawn. Plus, ranked is the mode where you're supposed to get... You know, ranked. Evaluated. And having a win-streak ruined or a loss-streak elongated by someone who doesn't want to play at their skill level just doesn't feel good.
After watching probably silver 1-3. You held onto ult for potential perfect potg not to benefit team. Dont wait for a teammate to die. Also overtime spawns works both ways. Is it wise to wait till verry last second🧐🧐
Yeah his biggest problem is just not playing much. He said he tries to finish 1 card each season, that's only 5 games a season. You don't develop gamesense or master a character by not playing the game. Watching guides and videos are great but it's not the same as playing games where things become second nature and you no longer have to focus on them constantly.
@magnificentaa5164 honestly it's probably correct if he's only gonna do placements and no other games each season. He literally says in the vid "I try to do at least one card per season" card means finishing placements in a role.
@@Vexed711 Yeah that is the real problem. In initial ranking you are kind of thrown to the wolves with ranks of all over. If he's only doing placement matches then he's hurting himself. You get 1 or 2 bad games it would be easy to be bronze especially when you don't have SR from other seasons which help in placements. I've had runs in seasons were I go 5 of 5 in placements and other 1 and 4. He's watched to many unranked to gm vids thinking he can get higher rank just from placements.
@@bradmiles1984 yup, even if he goes 5-0 next season he’s still getting placed bronze. Actually no because the rank reset next season so this is his chance to get out if he actually plays
@Vexed711 he'd get higher but if he played more he would derank quickly because he'd get placed too high to fast then be outclassed and would drop back to probably silver
This submission has to be bait. It just has to be. Edit: Is he completely unaware of the shield bash mechanic? I don't think I've seen him use it a single time.
Idk if accuracy counts toward rank, but he is just swinging for no reason and not hitting anyone. I think he deserves maybe silver, but bronze I feel is fine.
me personally its not a team diff after the teams got changed the 0 trick really showed his true colors. for all the elite ppl who really know. look at his positioning rat water. keeps dying saying things like imma hide behind this wall so hanzi cant shoot me. bro has no knowledge on heroes or map knowledge to really get low on brigg. its extremely easy climb out with Brigitte you just gotta member mute voice chat and do you your the burger of team nahh really the bun burger allat so as long as you NOT DYING positionin is great you can first shout out holyshiftkid triple Ds Distract, Disrupt, Destroy but yea do some 1v1s as brig vs every hero mute voice chat watch holyshiftkid pray then practice then you'll see improvement trust
He's very inconsistent which would improve if he played more games. Uses his health packs at the wrong times and he doesn't communicate his ult to use them in sink with his team mates the only time I seen him actually use the ult at a decent time was when his own team told him to use it. If he played more games like I said he could definitely climb though
I saw someone in chat say "its easy to pad stats with brig" i would honestly disagree due to the fact you need to be doing consistent damage with brig to be healing, like if youre only whip shotting, you arent grtting that damage, you need to really be putting in that risk of going in, grtting damage, staying keeping your healing proct, using your shield bash to get out, ofc unless its a 1v1.

And are you one of those players who get all sweaty in quickplay and just gets fever in the name of ranked i agree that ranked is kinda meh right now but getting all overwatch league in quickplay is quite uncessecary . unranked is to enjoy and let others enjoy mode if you want to improve go ranked man . because if (you are good) mostly you are going to stomp the enemies unless there is a bigger smurf in the other team . and on a short note (you know if you dont get punished for your mistakes you will make those again ).
4th:- while teamcomp is impactful it is hardly a sole reason for a loss . You might be expirenced in judging teamcomp but you cant judge someones skill level by seeing the charecter they play . and reverse roll happens quite often and you should definately try to correct someones mistakes regardless of their appreciation .
But i dont hold anything agaisnt you just friendly chat thats all .
@@niladrimondal5003 Like I said what Jay3 stated has been a proven concept for well over 20 years in FPS gaming at the professional level.
When you get that experience, then you'll have an argument to make with me.
@@Fluke2SS It is almost like you dont have any proof to back your statements so you are feigning superiority, it is quite laughable. If you have any proofs or sources then talk or this is too much of a waste of time .
And what will I do with experience if i cant even make logical statements instead hide behind ExCuSeS. LOL.
Let me prove it
I have over a month played on the game I am a veteran. Let me do this jay
You're better off going to his discord
He gets lost very easily. Kinda apparent he watched a lot of guides but didn't practice after that
I would have loved to see a kiriko/Brig double ultimate
love jay average old man yapping experience
I want to see console top 500 ximmers vs top 500 pc. I know they're the scum of the earth, but I'd like to see what happens 😭
Is there a difference between bronze, silver, gold and plat?
He just needs experience but he's never gonna get it doing just placements then not playing the rest of the season.
bruh, awkward goes U2GM 1trickin brig
@@jake9854 because he’s a gm player. I understand one tricking in higher ranks but in bronze and silver I can’t understand it at all
@@jake9854 Yes but 99 percent of the playerbase is no where his skill or gamesense. We are talking about a bronze player not someone with multiple top spots on the leaderboard.
The pack shots are top tier
I dont really agree with the whole, "the team made him look good". I mean thats how you win games.... by having competent team members. You can't expect to win if your the only decent player on the team because overwatch requires team effort and skill to win. Thats like saying "your bad cause your team Is good" meanwhile the person got 30 kills and lows deaths and decent damage. Just because they had a good team doesn't take away from the fact that they did their part in the matches that they played. Just my 2 cents. Having a good team is required to win lol
Dude I thought they were going sombra to counter the brig lol
Swankypants might be in elo hell
But what’s the difference between a bronze and gold brig main ? even a diamond one
Awareness, positioning, whipshot accurasy, ability usage etc. There are tons of things that make the difference between a high and low rank brig player.
Definitely bronze blizzard should make a copper rank and place him there
I play fighting games, and I love getting beat up by players who are way way better than me.
11:50 rare w jay3 take
He just needs to grind
After watching probably silver 1-3. You held onto ult for potential perfect potg not to benefit team. Dont wait for a teammate to die. Also overtime spawns works both ways. Is it wise to wait till verry last second🧐🧐
when i watched his stream i thought he was the bronze player by accident 😂😂
I’d give him low silver. With more play time and practice he can be gold easily.
Too low wth
@magnificentaa5164 honestly it's probably correct if he's only gonna do placements and no other games each season. He literally says in the vid "I try to do at least one card per season" card means finishing placements in a role.
Brig is one of the easiest and strongest supps to get out of low ranks, so if he is having problems carring with brig, so he is the problem
he plays 5 games a season
@@Vexed711i also play only placements every season, and i peaked Diamond 4 on Tank - Support and Plat 1 on dps (plat 4 being my lowest)
This submission has to be bait. It just has to be.
Edit: Is he completely unaware of the shield bash mechanic? I don't think I've seen him use it a single time.
No way ive played with this person before
How do people in these ranks have the will to keep playing?😟
Feel like I should be gold all roles 😂
Idk if accuracy counts toward rank, but he is just swinging for no reason and not hitting anyone. I think he deserves maybe silver, but bronze I feel is fine.
i see him double and triple packin wayyyyyy to often i have less time on comp them him as a brig main and am B1 so tbh he should be B 2-3 at most
someone teach this man to 3 peek
Love u jay 3 u should do a gold with plats that would be interesting
Think the Tiger story was the most entertaining part of the video
How do you post a statement or ask to be in an ELO hell video?
I said I deserved plat when I was silver 3 next season roles around got high plat was dominanting in silver just couldn't climb to save my life
Jays take on smurfs makes a little since but they still ruin games.
Bruh I’m definitely in Elo hell. But I don’t know what I would be exactly. (support and dps ) I’m thinking at least plat3. I got some to prove
Ayo one of the golds is on my friends list 😂
Wait if Jay is sharing wives with chat does that mean he’s sharing Meg?
It took me 80h to leave bronze hell
Well 27 hours on widow gold 😂
literally all of these videos have the person perfectly placed in the rank they belong. this dude is horrible💀
This really hurts my soul because I also one tricked brig from bronze 5 to gold 4 in 3 days, I feel for the guy
You must've played a shit ton of games in those 3 days
me personally its not a team diff after the teams got changed the 0 trick really showed his true colors. for all the elite ppl who really know. look at his positioning rat water. keeps dying saying things like imma hide behind this wall so hanzi cant shoot me. bro has no knowledge on heroes or map knowledge to really get low on brigg. its extremely easy climb out with Brigitte you just gotta member mute voice chat and do you your the burger of team nahh really the bun burger allat so as long as you NOT DYING positionin is great you can first shout out holyshiftkid triple Ds Distract, Disrupt, Destroy but yea do some 1v1s as brig vs every hero mute voice chat watch holyshiftkid pray then practice then you'll see improvement trust
5 mins into the video Jay showed his communist colors 😂 nah jk it was a funny bit tho
Low silver high gold
i had wors healers than him in my master2 lobbys on tank
bronze 2 - silver 4 most probably
if it was for you say its healer why dont u try play support role
He's very inconsistent which would improve if he played more games.
Uses his health packs at the wrong times and he doesn't communicate his ult to use them in sink with his team mates the only time I seen him actually use the ult at a decent time was when his own team told him to use it.
If he played more games like I said he could definitely climb though
Aight brig…aight
jay3 have my babies
HUH????????????
I wanna do an elo hell
I saw someone in chat say "its easy to pad stats with brig" i would honestly disagree due to the fact you need to be doing consistent damage with brig to be healing, like if youre only whip shotting, you arent grtting that damage, you need to really be putting in that risk of going in, grtting damage, staying keeping your healing proct, using your shield bash to get out, ofc unless its a 1v1.
I deserved dimond and I’m in sliver dps😔
Gold and bronze isnt that much of a difff just saying ive been there for a whole year
I played with him the bronze
Brig was decent. Definitely not a bronze in my opinion. I'm sure u can climb, u just need to grind more!
Mentions OW is dying then defends smurf accounts. You only defend it because most of OW youtube content is smurfs doing 'educational videos'
Dumbest fucking take I’ve ever seen especially since I hate unranked to gm videos. Good job 👍
I’m hard stuck plat I deserve at least masters
Same I’m stuck
I'm stuck in bronze 😢
Free Imari till it’s backwards 😔
Wie kann ich da mit machen ?
Binn auch gold
high gold... because bronze players playing with there foot
Support
hey JAY3
