Manirathnam was the inspiration in my life to become a filmmaker but sadly I dont pursue that career anymore. But I will continue to be a film buff and love films for the rest of my life thanks to watching Mani's movies when growing up.

Though i enjoy, jaw drop, analyze and talk about films of his, I didn't know so many small things really mattered a lot until i saw him talk about them. It allows us to capture the scene meditatively and connects emotionally with us. COntrast this with modern pure entertainment masala films filled with noise, frequent and unnecessary change of camera positions which leads to a restless mind.
