Wish he mentioned MSV and Ilaiyaraaja as his inspirations. He talked about Michael Jackson and John Williams and Morricone. Why couldn’t he talk about some of the celebrated composers in his homeland?
The respect for Imtiaz Ali is immense here. As a director, he understands giving space and freedom to the genius of AR Rahman, Mohit and Irshad.
These 4 people made some of the best songs that’s has ever been made in India cinema
ARR has been silently paying homage to the golden era of Hindi music, the 50s and 60s with Main Parvana and now Vida Karo. That was the first thing I noticed with Vida Karo-the strings and the emotion is so 60s and I’m so glad Imtiaz made that point. Hats off ARR, Arijit and Mohit. May the band stay united.
Yes make Rockstar 2. My favorite Bollywood film ever made. I have watched that film 37 times.

Like Raj Kapoor-SJ-Shailendra & Hasrat jaipuri- Mukesh, Nasir Hussain-RD-Majrooh Saab-Mohammed Rafi, Shakti Samanta-RD-Anand Bakshi-Kishore Kumar & last but not the least Gulzar-RD-Kishore Kumar. Rahman Sir, request you to release Vida Karo instrumental track. As Irshad Sir rightly said, that tune itself is full of feel and emotion even if it doesn’t has lyrics to it. Just like Bombay Theme, tune itself is lyrical❤

Irshad Kamil sir speaks english like B SIngh sir, MD of NextIAS. Both are native hindi speakers but the way both of them speak english , is uncannily very similar! Their tone, cadence and pronunciation of words is really similar!
