Cool conversation for sure but not sure I'd rank any of those above the other, they are all waves of a lifetime, I have watched from the channel and video does it no justice at all, this wave is a freak of mother nature, it felt like sitting in a paddock and watching tornadoes roll by.... Anyone who has the balls to pull into this and the skill to ride it out and or survive, has my 100% max respect!
yep, that's the one. really puts the risk/reward factor into perspective...it's not ONLY a giant wave pushing the entire ocean over its lip...it's surfed in front of a dry shelf! fucking insane! bravest people on the earth.
This video was so insane so awesome I absolutely loved it I am a stand-up Surfer back in the day we used to call bodyboarders spongers not anymore these guys are charging so hard much respect to these guys what a great video thank you can't wait for the next one!
Some memorable ones would have to include Damien martins massive closeout wipeout. The Hughes roll in is even more significant after watching that at the Draw premiere and the reaction it got. Hardys one arguably best paddle wave considering it hadn’t been done previously and he picked a huge wedge
Unbelievable stuff on an unbelievable bit of coastline. You boys pioneered this shit. No surfer or bodyboarder be about the slab life to the level they are these days without tension sessions
im going to give it to novy, but ill always remember how I was tripping on Hughes one. First time I saw the right and at that time was the best tube ever and almost still is.
hard to charge judge, to me they are all top notch. but the paddle in to hair adjustment really did it for me. that was splitting hairs scratching into the pocket. id like to get out there on a swell i could paddle in too
Wong remember this session I was with Mark and Koby we were looking at the right at the look out at 5am we seen you's out there and mark seen a proper 20fter this is from land we could see you were in the shoulder of that wave I just remember mark saying that's a 20ft bomb that just spat chunks wow U seen a proper 20fter yewwwww
Yeah but nah, Rossi fades, where you all scarper for the channel, period.Shanno, Kirbs n Rossi stand tall in the Southern Chapter Valhalla.Absolute honourable mention to Ryan, undoubtedly. To grin is only a wry smile. See what I did there?
there are only a few surfers, even in hawaii, that would want any part of that wave...at least to paddle it. wait til nate florence gets his chance. there's a million views.
Like I say Australians and anyone else that surfs a wave like that are crazy, and what gets me is how can you concentrate on the surf when quit possibly there might be one of those big scary submarines with the white bellies swimming underneath you, takes massive guts to say the least.
That dry reef st 12:20 tho...
Skitz kiaunts
The sickest content ever could listen to these stories all day long thanks boys

young bloke here. first time seeing this wave and i am utterly speechless. hats off to you guys
That last wave breaking on a 1m high dry shelf 😮
yep, that's the one. really puts the risk/reward factor into perspective...it's not ONLY a giant wave pushing the entire ocean over its lip...it's surfed in front of a dry shelf! fucking insane! bravest people on the earth.
Very similar to my local beach Bondi, the only thing is Bondi is a bit heavier.
And possibly more crowded 🤣

Lovin this podcast boys. Keep it up legends
What an incredible wave.
Mark Mathews filming Taj Burrow. Same wave together was a pretty epic moment, Mark was deep asf.
I've wondered if the Dean Morrison wave might be one of, maybe the biggest barrel ever produced by a wave. It throws so wide it's unbelievable.
Man that photo of virtue lives rent free in my head from early teens until forever lol
Epic vid guys!us bodyboarders rain supreme in that collection, i love to see Florence attacking that wave also!
Sick! Would be cool to hear top 10 heaviest waves in WA. Then who pioneered them, some footage and some wild stoies about them we prob havent heard. 👍

Super keen for the righteous ones!
Yeah, this was the Angels & Airwaves segment. What a mammoth
Yup keep it coming
So where you guys the first to surf it? Who was?
Yep, we briefly talk about it in the podcast, prob should have included it in this video. Can cover it all in the doco 🤙🏾🤙🏾
hard to charge judge, to me they are all top notch. but the paddle in to hair adjustment really did it for me. that was splitting hairs scratching into the pocket. id like to get out there on a swell i could paddle in too
Talk about how bodyboarders surfed cape in the early years but in the videos you reversed the wave to throw people off
Gold
Crazy 🌊👍
Wtf epic footage 🤙🌊🤙

Good times 🤙🏾🤙🏾
8:29 the epitome of square
12:23 what the actual fuck!!!
Agree wardys one was an inch from death and wrangled it. Ridiculous
Lewys is pretty insane...
Stones one was fkd
Hectic hey
Worst wipeout?
I’ve always said Australian surfers are the gnarliest and if this isn’t proof then I don’t know what is.
Yeah, teahoaupuu, yeah.

Bierke for the gold at some point out der.

Mind If O Bring My GOAT Boat?

Sandy Ryan would be a good contender to paddling it.
next video worst wipeouts at the right.

Osman arvo session and Jake stone
We knew the right was gona be on but we wanted to do something different, sure mate u probably looking for new undies
Haha the wave we went to was actually gnarlier if you can believe it.
@theGrinReapers of course it was ! heavier than the right ?
@@DarrenSmith-x6h literal dry reef! Stab just did a ‘best surfing I’ve ever seen’ video on the whole session with Kerby Brown.
need some Hawaiians to surf this wave
there are only a few surfers, even in hawaii, that would want any part of that wave...at least to paddle it.

Bodyboarding is gay tho
Tow surfing sucks
