Yum yum! Pad Thai is our absolute favorite but the last few times we tried to cook it we always end up adding too much tamarind. Definitely inspirred us to try again this week (or failing that order some haha)!

You won’t fail! My recipe is fool proof. It’s a good sauce to noodle ratio. U got this!

This made me so hungry! It looks like it tastes fantastic! Where can I find the tamarind? I'm in the U.S. and they don't have that in grocery stores here although there are some tamarind-flavored drinks.

Hi Abby, have you tried the asian grocery store? They will have it in Asian, Indian or Caribbean grocery stores. Check on amazon. If you really cannot find it, It taste very similar to a tart fruit. I once bought an apple butter preserve that actually taste exactly like tamarind and ended up using apple butter haha you can probably substitute it with a very tart fruit preserve.

Anita Ko yes it looks a bit nasty to boil shells but I swear there is plenty of flavour thrown away if u don’t do this.

Anita Ko all the OG south asians aunties all use the cube. It’s cheaper! The one I got is 1.99 compared to the jar for $4-5
