Okay. I'm not gonna lie. You really didn't have an idea of where you were going with the ship, I think. You were playing around, to make a new ship. To make the best ships, you gotta understand how everything works, and how to add really important details. The idea of the ship is pretty cool, but you don't want to take details from other ships. Making your own ships from scratch is the best. From that, you might copy code to understand how it works, but once you get the hang of it, it's rewarding. I loved this video, just going to say, but I wanted you to know how you could be better in the future :) I am creating ships too, I am almost finished with my mod, hopefully you want to test it with me when it's done because you seem to understand when a ship needs tweaking, and how to generally build ships from other ships :)
Actually, I did k ow where I was going, I drew the ship out first. I have created a 34 ship mod called chocolate mod and I don’t think you’ll say the same for those ships if you saw them. While I do take parts from other ships, I change then a lot. For example I took wings from the aetos for this ship, and they look nothing alike. Also. This ship looks nothing like the pioneer I started with. I understand why it may look like I was just fooling around, but I actually have hours and hours of experience with the ship editor. It’s true I hadn’t used it for a while, so maybe I was a little rusty. If the ship was going to be in my mod, I would have made it a lot more complex as well...it was just. Made for fun.
I understand how code works just fine, I know what all the sections mean and what changing them does. The reason i fooled around a lot was because I was trying to make it look just like my drawing. Also I’m not trying to criticize your comment, I’m glad you voiced your opinion, I’m just saying what I really know. Don’t hesitate to make suggestions in the future!
Also, we may have different ideas of what makes a good ship, and how to best use this ship editor. However, if you look at other ship editing videos almost everyone uses other ship pieces then modified them.
