2012 passat 2.0 tdi same issue, I've watched many videos about this n75 solenoid and couldn't get enough information out out any of them explaining the low boost. Your video here was very informative, and I really do appreciate the time you put into helping others. Thank you, sir, for the education.
Had so many different diagnosis from mechanics. At my wits end. Then noticed your video. Some quoting £500 for Turbo. Some saying it’s pipes. Some saying it’s veins on turbo. Some diagnosing actuator. I needed to know if it’s n75 valve before ordering and your bypass trick worked a treat. I used the lid of a biro to join them up and tested for 1 Mile. Knew instantly turbo was back.
100's of videos and all of them instantly suggesting replacing the turbo or turbo issues always worst case. Than i found this....spot on. Thank you👏👏💪👍 If i could like this 100 times i would
I have lost count of the videos I have watched for this fault, but this is the best explained I've seen , have a tiguan 2.0 diesel with p02653, was going to change actuator first but this will be my first port of call. Thanks big time.
Hi, how did you fix the problem at the end? I got same problem watching lots of videos and all mechanics point me on the new turbocharger which I’m pretty sure is working because sometimes pulls as normal. TIA
i believe this is the issue i am having, I tried feeling for vacuum with engine ticking over and with some revs on, incoming is ok as expected. nothing on outgoing side. if this is the issue you are a star buddy.
This happens to me whilst driving it puts itself into limp mode, with the p2563 code going to order a new sensor and hope it works🤞🏼thanks for the video!
I had a flashing Glow Plug light on my '14 VW Jetta Sportwagon TDI. Something was telling the sensor that something was not right in the engine and as a result my turbo would not activate on acceleration. I had no clue where to even start looking and took it to a VW dealer. It turned out that the fuel pump went bad somehow. Since replacing the pump the wagon runs even better than before.
Hope you can help me? Showed this video to my mechanic and he questioned whether you should have suction on the outlet pipe when engine is just idling and therefore not in a boost situation?
@@netfix7532 Thank you very much for clarifying that. Ordered a new turbo boost control position sensor and just fitted it and by magic my low power problem has disappeared on my VW T5 2010. The engine management light is now off but I still have the flashing Glow Plug Light coming on after a few minutes on the road. I only have a cheap little scanning tool and I have the following error code; $07E8 ISO/SAE reserved, any idea what this might be? Thank you so much for uploading this very helpful video which has prevented me going down various rabbit holes in an effort to solve my turbo boost problem!🙏😃

Greetings all. Have the P00AF00 and P256300 codes. Car is in limp mode now, the check engine light is on and the spiral glow plug light is flashing with the DPF light permanantly on. I have visited a few mechanics they are pulling that the actuator is at fault, or others quote that the DPF needs a cleaning. So I'll give a go regarding this part and see what happens. Cheers! By the way, car is a 2010 Golf mark 6 2.0 TDI
Cheers mate. I'm troubleshooting a P0234 " (Overboost Condition) - Intermittent" error. While not exactly the same this video was at least helpful and I appreciate the explanation of the vacuum system.
Over Boost will most likely be due to the Actuator being stuck in the ON position. Easiest way to check is to Spray WD40 on the Rod and then pushing it up and down with a Screw Driver to free it up.
I have a similar issue. I've tested the vacuum think and I have vacuum on the smaller pipe but not the bigger pipe . I've connected the together just to see if the actuator would move and it does . It goes all the way , but when I feed vacuum directly to the actuator and drive the car there is still no turbo boost . Do you have any recommendations ? . I've tried replacing the MAF SENSOR AND THE GAS RECIRCULATION SENSOR . That didn't do anything . If you have any suggestions, please let me know as I'm getting desperate now . Ps: the car worked perfectly util I had a EPB (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ) error wich I tried to clear by pooling out some fuzes . Thanks
I have this fault, constantly having the flashing glow light on cold starts and engine light on, however l still have turbo boost l am just wondering if this is the issue. VW Tiguan 2.0 tdi
I’m getting fault code P00AF00 flashing coil light and limp mode. Turn key off and back on is fine. Will be fine for miles then. Actuator arm moves on start up. Worth changing the valve as per the video?
@@blounter1287 I would start by checking every vacuum hoses for spits or collapse. I would personally change them all to elimate as they are really cheap. I would disconnect the actuator lever on the turbo and manually open and close the to check veins and ensure they are free, especially when the lever is at full extended. Also for the price of the valve in my video put one on and see how it goes.
@@netfix7532 hoses all look good condition and the actuator is moving freely on engine start up and off which is pointing to good vacuum from the system. It’s going to a garage tomorrow for a good check over

Hej there! Would appreciate your thought on my problem... When I reach the speed of 160km/h gas pedal shuts down, feels like there is no more power in the car. Pedal is empty no matter how many times you press it, RPM drops badly and glow-plug indicator light starts to blink... I park on the sidewalk, restart the car and all is fine untill I reach 160km/h and the same thing happens again! Overall car runs very well under 160km/h, no loss of power or anything, maybe a little bigger fuel consumption and some heat from left vent inside even tho heating is off in the car, other than that everything seems good, any thoughts? 2.0 BiTDI Arteon 240hp 2017.
Mine has come up with pooafoo, turbo boost control module, is that the same thing? When I turn van off and start up again it drives fine for about 5 mins and then loses power with coil light flashing, would that be the same problem? Thanks
Could this sensor be the cause of intermittent loss of turbo? Happens when accelerating past 3000 revs on 174bhp. Goes into limp mode. Turn engine on off and all fine. Turbo is fairly new. Thanks
The quick answer is yes. The sensor in the video is an electronic solenoid the brings in boost. If yours isn’t getting turbo boost this solenoid could be sticking causing intermittent problems. Before buying one I would check the lever I show working on the turbo, and ensure that moves the turbo veins freely when. Make sure disconnect the lever on the turbo first though.

It should have suction when idling, the suction will be turned off by the solenoid to prevent over boost.
