As a dark skin person I understand that People make mistakes especially when under the influence of alcohol. He is Human and no human is perfect. He said sorry and apologies let's move on. Overall his music is top notch and one of the best country singers currently out there.
Bro please stop using alcohol as an excuse, saying that no human is perfect or free of certain prejudices or biases is one thing, but acting like people get intoxicated and then decide to say slurs is illogical.
Edited to say, please do not reply to me without bothering to scroll down and read my remaining replies, this comment is not insinuating that this specific man used the word with malice and that he didn't use it as a term of endearment etc

So true. The liberal media is a joke. It’s not news anymore. They’re trying to paint this young man into a racist human being when there are millions of people in this country, in very high profile position, that have more than likely use the racial slur in their lives before. The only problem is he did it at the wrong time. It was when this country was put on notice by the radical Leftists Who claimed this country is systemically racist. The ones telling us this are the true racists.
He could’ve run to the anti woke crowd and refused to address it, as many artists do when they do something wrong and embarrassing. He had plenty of support to do that, his popularity exploded. Instead he opened up, owned it, and apologized in earnest. This is the sort of mature dialogue we need in this country,
You're kidding, right? "MY TRUTH?" Really. What a spoiled entitled snot.
Fucking Preach my dude
Yes but he didn't do anything wrong. So basically he's doing it for the woke fucks and others that get offended for it. If he wasn't trying to use it to offend it shouldn't be a problem.

This is such a non-issue. Actions speak louder than words. He wasn't even referring to a black person. It's a word that black people have mainstreamed in pop culture through hip hop music. If you don't want people using it, tell hip hop artists to stop using it. This idea that, "only certain people can use certain words" is silly.

It’s ridiculous that people hold a grudge in this man for this incident. A lot of people say very extreme stuff with their friends group. Plus being intoxicated doesn’t help, these guys were just trying to have a good time. They didn’t go to a public place offending people, they were in Morgan’s house on HIS property and they weren’t harassing any of the neighbors. I think the neighbors here were just being too nosy and trying to create a story from boys being boys. My friends and I call each other names that wouldn’t sound right around others, but that’s just our friendship, our insiders and good jokes. Anti white comments by mainstream rap artists? Where?
