  • The ABS ASC and TRAC light came on and off randomly, More so when the engine was warm.
After much reading turns out the pins need to be re-soldered. watch and see how.
be careful not to bend the brake lines. You can also send the unit off for repair.
I opted for the quick cheap fix and sealed the hole up after. Remember this car has been stood for 10 years so its not worth investing to much money at this stage.
This is just a bit of free advise so I hope this helps, I am no expert.

I had to make a similar repair on my Volvo V70 some years ago. There were a few joints that dried and took the top off . Not to difficult and re-sealed with some polyureathane adhesive sealant.

It must be the poor quality solder they use and over years with different heat cycles causes it to crack/shrink. Makes a change to have an almost free repair. Thanks for watching.

I am sorry, but whilst I find it admirable that you are attempting to help X100 owners by explaining how to repair a dry soldered joint in the ABS module, the fact that you did everything off camera negates the helpfulness of this video. In my opinion, having watched hours of videos from the likes of John Dee at 'To The Garage', this video is next to useless.

Appreciate your feedback, good to know as I am just staring out. I have now bought a tri-pod so I can video at the same time.
