Thank you for your comment, its pretty easy to remove just fiddley, if you remove the bolts I show it will come out with a little bit of wiggling but you need both hands. So I couldn't hold my phone and remove it sadly.
I had to make a similar repair on my Volvo V70 some years ago. There were a few joints that dried and took the top off . Not to difficult and re-sealed with some polyureathane adhesive sealant.
It must be the poor quality solder they use and over years with different heat cycles causes it to crack/shrink. Makes a change to have an almost free repair. Thanks for watching.
I am sorry, but whilst I find it admirable that you are attempting to help X100 owners by explaining how to repair a dry soldered joint in the ABS module, the fact that you did everything off camera negates the helpfulness of this video. In my opinion, having watched hours of videos from the likes of John Dee at 'To The Garage', this video is next to useless.
I was tuning for the module removal and installation process more than the soldering but every little bit helps.

Yeah I got it figured out. You are right it was a pain but I got it out.

Appreciate your feedback, good to know as I am just staring out. I have now bought a tri-pod so I can video at the same time.
