Sherilynne Ploughman I lived in Leadville from 1953 till 1968, graduated from what is now the mine museum, but was then the High School, in 1960. what a place to grow up. Some wonderful memories there. Met my husband there who worked at Climax.
I attended Pitts Elementary in the sixties. Lived on fourth street right by the baseball field, skating rink and fishing pond. What a great place for a kid to grow.
I ran across this video. My mom, dad, 2 brothers and my sister were all born here. I was the lone hold out and was born in Denver. My dad was a sherriff's deputy here in the late 60's early 70's. I remember going to elementary school here in....75? 76?
I used to live outside of Leadville at the Colorado Belle Ranch owned by Cecil Clifford. I've a lot of great memories of Leadville. And the cabins I stayed in while there. I miss the mountains. :)
Video molto bello complimenti. Ho visto da poco il film "Day of the Dead"(2008) le riprese del film sono avvenute realmente a Leadville? E la stazione radio che si vede nel film esiste veramente? Grazie e un saluto dall'Italia.
+LegalShield3000 You would also love the Georgetown Historic District, Victorian homes and buildings and of course the historic Georgetown Loop. They are both wonderful examples of 19th Century life.
@@coloradomuseums6193 My problem with Georgetown is it's right on the freeway. I drove there after a couple days in Estes Park. When me and my wife got there, we turned around went right back to Estes. Prefer mountain towns that are a bit more secluded without a major freeway going through it.

I am legitimately looking forward to starting a new life over in Leadville, Colorado!!!🗻❄
A long time ago I started a new life in Leadville. Those days are gone but I am so glad I got to experience it. No regrets, many fond memories.

I know excatly where ya talking about.
Love Leadville cuz it's so secluded with 1800s buildings and gorgeous backdrop. That said, it's so small I only visit for a day/night.
I was born at st. Vincent hospital in Leadville. 1967. Spent many years visiting my family. Its where I'm from.
LOVE this town......it's not a good summer if I don't get through Leadville a few times and I love the Skijoring event every March!!
Beutiful town
Great history video and nicely added commercials. I like the format. :)
I live in Leadville
Born here
Why is a picture of Emilio Estevez from Young Guns in this video?
Hi, do you give tours or anyone you know gives tour guide around Colorado. I would be coming from Los Angeles, CA. Please be kind to respond. Thanks 😊
Hey, great videos my friend. Is there any chance you'll do one on Durango?
Durango's nice but full of little asshole college kids who get drunk and talk shit.

How do make a video about Leadville without mentioning the Leadville 100 Trail foot race and Bike race? Strange.
Having just toured Colorado, I think Leadville looks more like a real life South Park, than any other CO town I visited.

South Park doesn't have buildings like that

It's nice, but it's no Compton.
any good dispensaries around there?
Lavern More like a haven for people who don't like cancer or alcohol. Our veterans with ptsd need it as well so shame on you.
@Lavern Theres nothing negative about pot. Just depends on the user. You're ignorant. It's 2018 get used to it, weed is never going away.
seamonsterdinosaur yeah because getting high is “medicinal” 🤣🤣😂

When the railroad connected Pennsylvania with Leadville the price of pencils plummeted to a low point.
7:08 Golf coarse??? Try wilderness golf instead get the your worst club you own and use a pine cone!
Ha ha
Delaware is to cluttered it would much nicer if it was not packed full of stuff
It's under new ownership so the clutter is no more. I personally preferred all the clutter it gave it more character.
