I'm glad I watched the video. I hadn't been checking with a square when I put the steady rest on. I've only used it a couple of times on my Sweet 16, but I'm sure it will give better support with those adjustments.
I need a cheaper solution for smaller diameter projects running on a Oneway 2436. Like mounting a 12" or 16" unit on a 2436 lathe. Do you have a spacer to lift the center point of a smaller diameter rest up to line up with the spindle center on a Oneway 2436.
Hi, our steady rests are sized for the lathe you have. So, a Oneway 2436 is a 24" lathe, and you should get a SR-24, the 24" steadyrest. If you want to save a few dollars, you can order a smaller one and build your own spacer from hardwood. It will probably work fine. If you really want to save money, you can build your own from wood. You can probably find videos about doing that here on UA-cam. Thanks for your comment.
@@robusttools9505 , you guys do put out good quality goods. Say, perhaps adding an upgrade kit for us to install a hinge. I do prefer my steady rests to open.

600.00 for a steady rest? Your all are crazy!
Howdy, lucky for us, there are people that think getting something of good quality is worth the extra money.
