The picture of the VW was a 4x4 model with a hopped up motor that was sold to him by my uncle. Great machine as I remember it had a great life with Jimmy and still today I hope.

I 1st saw JB& original Coral Reefer Band in 1975 opening for Jerry Jeff Walker & lost Gonzo Band. In His band was a Good Friend Of Mine Harmonica Player Greg Fingers Taylor. From then The Music I Stayed Close to until 1979 When I Finally got In With Everyone in The Band. Stories & Adventures only Grew Over the Yrs. Fingers Who More Than $$ Was His Love For Music,, mainly Blues & Hit As Many Bar rooms& music Halls. Loved It All & Will Maybe End Up Writing My Own Book of Being in (Right Place-Right Time) &All Starting With Suggestion I took From Great Bluesman John Hammond, when he told me Ho to Rosie's Cantina in Atl. Ga. I DID & My Music Adventures Really Took Off From There! Thank You JB For ALL The Lyrics That Led Me Up Up & Away!!

I had my first Margarita at the original Margaritaville in Key West in 1995. The first one followed by another, then another & so on!😂

Loved Jimmy's song "Wasting Away In Margaretaville" & "It's Five O'clock Somewhere". Did not get to see him live in concert. He appeared every year at Jones Beach Theater, Wantagh, L.I., NY an outdoor concert which Jimmy sold out every time he was in concert there.
R.I.P. Jimmy. You are missed. ❤😢

His family never moved around a lot, his Father and Mother had steady jobs and careers at Alabama Drydock and Shipbuilding.

He personified the laid back and chilled lifestyle but he was in reality a workaholic who never rested on his laurels for long

Jimmy lived comfortably, but he was never a braggard! Jimmy loved the life and shared it with over 230 Parrothead club's and all the members, throughout the world!

I have been a serious fan of Jimmy Buffett snice 1978 but you know the most annoying thing about this video is the constant pictures of hundred dollar bills, This is not reflective of who Jimmy was, he was very humble

Made a lot of money with not much talent, basic campfire music. More of a capitalist than musician.
Would sue anyone who used the "parrot" trademark.

Well I watched it the entire team and then when you told me that he was backing Barack Obama I went out and threw all his records in the trash!
