    Speaking of GAHHHBAGE. Remember when everyone called me a scammer because I talked about SHIBA INU? Well I'm happy for those of you that believed in me and my honor as a man to always be someone you can count on to be truthful whenever I post content online. About to pass the previous all time high today!!!
    Now I'm no crypto expert, YET, but I did start a crypto channel called "ScottHermanCrypto" - ua-cam.com/channels/663rEb9EaHSlkuvxcLre6w.html
    I've been doing a lot of research into a lot of different coins, especially NFTs and gaming. So if you enjoy crypto, sub to my channel and I hope to make it more of a community channel where we talk about coins and do fun livestreams. Hope to see lot's of you there! I will be posting some "getting started in crypto" videos this weekend!

      Good that you separated the two content. Giving financial advice on fitness channel wasn't a good idea. Even if that's not the intention, people will think of it as an advice/suggestion. If whatever financial thingy you are talking about failed, it will affect your reputation.
      I personally never give financial advice beyond the generic ones. Won't risk my reputation with giving advice where I'd have some conflict of interest.

Some of this stuff sounds too good to be true such as some ppl getting 12% apy on their crypto which is basically the equivalent of S&P 500. Id like to hear you talk about some of this stuff cause im always worried I'm not being told the full truth on all of this

    I've been doing powerbombs pretty much exclusively at home with dumbbells (25kg - 27.5kg) and they alone have grown my triceps. My arms look so much bigger now. They also feel great and is one exercise I feel good about doing high reps and going to failure (although, being careful not to hit myself on the head whilst I'm at it). The pump I get from them is insane.

    I try to avoid watching any fitness content on IG or TikTok b/c so much of it is trash advice & gets me mad. Seems his perspective was purely anecdotal, because it certainly wasn’t based on science or reality.
    PS: While kickbacks can work, they’re far from the best triceps exercise since there’s no real tension with the triceps stretched, & are somewhat limited by the strength of the rear delts. The form he showed was so bad I had to laugh, as it was possibly the least effective way I’ve ever seen anyone perform that movement.

    I actually HAVE to do the overhead dumbbell triceps extension (powerbomb) with my elbows flared out. My right shoulder has something wrong with it (I only really noticed it when I started working out early last year) and I can't handle weight over my head (like skull crushers, dumbbell pull overs). For whatever reason, flaring my elbows must do something internally on my right shoulder so I can do the movement without pain.
    It's why I can't do dumbbell lateral raises. It doesn't necessarily hurt when I do, but my right shoulder "pops" (if you put your finger into the top-front of my right shoulder you can feel something happening) when I'm bringing my arm back down.
    No idea what's wrong but I've had it for years and years but in everyday life it doesn't matter and it doesn't hurt, it's just weird. But after starting working out and doing lateral raises at first, it began to hurt the next day so I stopped doing them cause I don't wanna f up my shoulder. However now it's starting to hurt after chest day (doing dumbbell presses) which is real fricking great. Ugh I dunno

      @@ScottHermanFitness Dips aren't tough on the rotator cuff. Neither are "any exercise that places pressure on the shoulder joint" - there are exercises/motions that are better for your shoulders than others. Doing stuff way behind your head in general for example is a risk for your shoulders health (depending on genetics). I've had issues with my shoulders for a very long time now. Shoulders are one of the hardest muscle groups to rehab. Scott, I don't want to come of like an asshole here but, while you may be right about a lot of things, if I were you I'd show some humility and admit when you're wrong. The gym I go to has octagon shaped dumbbells and what I do is squeeze the dumbbells together side by side by the flat surface of the dumbbells. Sitting on a bench, I pull them up straight over my head, arms extended, then lower them down toward my shoulders bending at the elbow, then extend my arms back up over my head to the extended position. The trick is to squeeze the dumbbells together and do the movement at the same time. It destroys my triceps in a good way, my triceps have grown massively from this, I swear.

    I'm not professional in body building, just weight lifting in certain times but, the "Mr. Tik-Tok" guy that Scott mentioned, when he demonstrates how to do the triceps kickback, it was like telling people that, "Never mind of how to do the full range of motion of triceps kickback, as long as you have done it even a bit, yes you can gain long head muscle." I spent almost a year and pain my shoulder and arms by using the method that Scott taught in UA-cam, only a bit triceps muscle appear -> (due to lack of effort in improving my workout method). if follow that "Mr TikTok" method to gain triceps, it would be a fantasy of gaining muscle only.

    The tricep kickbacks are great for isolation and really feeling the stretch but he did it without any effort put into it. You have to lean forward and/or use a bench to stabilize the chest, then you'll really feel it. My personal favorite is to stabilize your leg on a bench and use a cable while leaning forward, that's maximizing the stretch and tension. He did none of that whatsoever so his tips were absolutely useless... No range of motion.

    • @clamum9648
      @clamum9648 2 роки тому

      I really prefer using cables for triceps kickbacks. I get a much better contraction that way.
      I put the cable down on the bottom of the rail and face the machine. I don't have any attachment, just grab the carabineer and little plastic ball that's on the end of the cable. Then lean over like I'm doing a barbell row (although I'm pretty much horizontal) and do the kickback. It's one arm at a time but oh well.

    The kickback is actually a shit exercise for the long head. The exercise puts the long head in an extremely shortened position so it can't contribute as much because of active insufficiency.

  • @pietromino1768
    @pietromino1768 2 роки тому

    A kickback with the cable will defeat the purpose of a kick back in the first place, as the resistance will be lighter in the peak contraction (where you need it the most) and heavier in the mid range.
    So technically, although I agree that a dumbell kickback is not “the” best exercise, is definitely a better choice than a cable, if the goal is to target the shortened position.
    I also have to disagree with you about the first exercise. I think that the overhead cable extension is a far superior set up in terms of both elbows integrity and resistance profile.
    That’s my opinion anyway.
    Good content as usual

    I'm going to give this exercise another try. My triceps are at the point where any tri exercise I do is met with a "ho hum big whoop" from them. I don't have huge triceps, but I played basketball for decades and was an outside perimeter shooter. 20 to 30 feet was my sweet spot. That's just forward arm motion. Now that my playing days are over, I still keep the tri's in shape
    I do have a tight right upper lat and shoulder, so I really have to loosen them up beforehand. Plus I was grabbing the dummbell, which I'm glad to have pointed out as being the wrong way to do it. Thanks, Scott
