... So I did a timing belt kit. Cam and crank seals and a new valve cover gasket. All drips have stopped for now. I think both the valve cover gasket and crank seal were leaking slightly.

Have you ever been able to find out what was causing the leak? My 2001 Protege ES (same engine) is seeping oil on the passenger side as well. I'm suspecting the valve cover, but I replaced the valve cover gasket about a year ago and I'm still getting the passenger side wet with oil. It's not leaking a whole lot and I barely ever find drops under the car, but the passenger side of the engine is black with oil and it seems to weep quite a bit.

Yeah... I used hondabond on the seams on the valve cover gasket. It slowed it down for awhile, but I see it started to seep a little again. At least it doesn't drip now.

Having the same oil leak is the exact same area on my P5 - did you ever find the source of your leak? I already replaced the valvue cover gasket but didn't help. Going to check around oil filter next but looking for help myself too.
