*What I expected:* Hey guys, I just got burned, so here's a couple things to look out for between real and repros. *What I got:* Boo-hoo, I got scammed by a Spaniard, I want my money back!
I'm not a collector just couldn't afford today's prices, but thanks the guy who does the militaria fake reveals I know a little bit of what to look for in fake militaria, especially the campaign shield episode, brilliant information for younger people starting out.because the collecting world is ruined by greed as far as the normal guy on the streets concerned.
That is a rare badge. Even years ago the detail to many reproduction badges were very good but what let them to be known as not original was the pin and catch on the back. The best advice is to purchase from someone who has been around for a few years and offers your money back. Reading books is a good idea although sometimes two different books will tell you different things.
I left Ebay after they promised to refund me... I purchased a fake WW1 iron cross 1st class.. The seller said he was Spanish but he wasn't.. Next up he is shown as being from Mauritania.. Ebay didn't help me out and ruled in his favour... So that was the end of my 20 year membership with Ebay. I would recommend to avoid Ebay...
You should hve known. The back of the badge does not even have markings. Batches like this one always have a serial number and the name of the manufacturer on the backside, together with some more markings.
@@carlcookson9693 Because i own several badges including this one. And they are marked as i said. I even have other badges with the original paperwork from the soldier who recieved it in WW2.
@@opoxious1592 I have never in all my years of collecting come across a Herr Flak Badge having a serial number on it , not all badges had a makers mark either , so where you are getting these badges from beggars believe ?
@@carlcookson9693 You know what? If your response is so immature like the things you are saying that i got my badges from "" beggars", than i can't conclude anyhting else that you must be very frustrated or jealous that you have been scammed or something. I'm not going waste my time with people that clearly lack knowlege how to distinguish original badges from replica's. So make yourself usefull, and point your frustration to the person who ripped you off.
@@opoxious1592 I think first of all you need to understand English Comprehension, clearly you don't , perhaps , this is reflected in your collecting , which obviously is the case, I have never in my Forty plus years of collecting heard so much Clap Trap from anybody within the hobby. You are certainly wasting your time, please don't waste any more of mine. Thank you so much.
Those are great to reenactment
Looks good,lacks patina.but..looks good
That is a tough experience. Finding the reputable source is always key, but often difficult to ascertain...
It has a shiny brass finish and cheap detailing - the detail is there but not as it should be on an orignal..
I bought a Cannonball on line that was fake. PayPal did nothing!

To be fair he mentioned the pin on the back and the overly “nice” condition
And
Denix of Spain ?
I been burnt as well. I feel ya bro
I guarantee i can dispute the charge with my bank and get my money back on scams/fakes

I could tell it was fake by the condition as well...but u said there were a few things that stood out and did not mention any of them

Could you please say where you purchased it? I've just purchased a 1914 iron cross 1st class from someone in Spain...
I would recommend buying the hinge and catch award book!
That sucks, but it is still beautiful
Fake is not beautiful.. FAKE IS ..just FAKE.. Wake up and smell the sandcasting scent on these.
I have 3 original badges which i found in my farm , I live in soliman Tunisia , found em with some bullets and a mortar bomb .

That's why I got out of the hobby too much good fake shit out there!

yes, thanks for asking
Where did you buy it?
Would you sell it ?
Why didn't you not point out the fake areas for others. To learn.. wow
Denix?
That sucks man
So why is it fake????????
Because it,s a postwar item
1:18 he talks about it
because it is not real. clearly fake...get a book bro!
i like fakes. good for business. even the real stuff is fake because it represents how fake valor of
war is.
