My thoughts are these: "Those who don't remember history are condemned to repeat it." ~ General Santana Dotson In all honesty, this sounds a lot like V For Vendetta. The social contract is, as long as you don't trespass or invade someone else's rights; as long as you cause no demonstrable harm to others (which has to be backed by facts and evidence), then you are free to do, including own, anything you like. And that's the way it should be.
This country was always this way. They have just decided to end the charade. Do you really believe everything these people taught in school about history?
@@kruggmichaels8958 : No. I've actually kept learning history since school, because one, I've learned history through geneological research, and how my ancestors are tied into or have made history. And two, I learn history on my own so that I can confirm what I learned in school. I also have a very skeptical and cynical nature, and even I must accept history as it happened, when I find events, people, and places that confirm primary sources. So to say, "[you] believe all the history they taught you in school?", denies the very fact of historical facts and evidence, because what I believe is actually not mere belief, as it is not my opinion, but rather what I "believe" is fact. Thus, what I "believe" is a historical record, and because it is, there is not much of an argument that can be made against it. Refuting a confirmed historical record is not exactly an easy thing for anyone to do, let alone to succeed at doing.
@@kruggmichaels8958 : Wrong. We look at history all the time with historical archaeological artifacts, we look at history via primary sources. We know what has happened, when. The dead are merely witnesses to history, who, when alive, could have sworn to the veracity of history in their time. When they go, they leave behind things like letters, diaries, and other documents that give a look into what history was like for them. Some things, like language, and even dialects, do die out when nobody speaks them any longer, such as Occitan, a language from the Middle Ages. Others, like Latin, are only spoken in certain circles, and are not spoken conversationally. And of course, you have modern-day languages like English that have their roots in history as well, that have dialects or spoken variants that aren't spoken any longer, such as the "King's English" from the King James Bible. But the fact is, I can still know history by what is left behind from any era I may be learning about. Just because I was not at Dachau, for example, does not mean that I can't know or understand how evil of an atrocity the Holocaust was. The same is true for the US Civil War, the Revolution, or even the early colonial period. The same is true for the times of the Romans, the Vikings, the Samurai, the Mongols, and the Chinese. The same is true for the Hundred Years' War and the Black Plague. Etc., etc., ad nauseum.
But yet, the government is doing the same type of things concerning the Confederate statues. Once the government starts banning historical items because they don't like them, it will never stop. They slowly take away the freedoms of the citizens and they are gone forever.
This was well said. Im sorry you gents lost gun rights and now this just seems like anything goes when it comes banning "scary" things. Imagine telling an Australian ww2 vet that they had to destroy a trophy they brought home because it upsets people OR straight to jail...
The normie obsession with the macabre is unfathomable, they say one thing but conduct themselves exactly the opposite way. They might condemn the nazis but it's also a fact that they need and love them in some way as well. How else would you explain this modern day obsession with calling your political opponents nazis and supposedly seeing them "everywhere" and "all the time"? It's a cult that needs an enemy as a scapegoat, no matter what.
@RideAcrossTheRiver I've done a genetics test, they wouldn't have sent me to the gas chambers. Believe that. I'd also meet other requirements like the height to make it to the Waffen-SS if I'd were to live during ww2. Not a blond with blue eyes but "aryan" by their standards nonetheless.
Mainstream is the new fascism of our time. They silence political opponents or anyone whom which they consider ‘inconvenient’, in one way or another. They indoctrinate and brainwash the youngest of the population in schools and thru media, similar to what was done in the ussr, the third reich and Mao’s china. “They” are the mainstream of today. “They” consist of woke mentality, political correctness, left wingers, neoliberals, the political elite, the media elite, socialist activists working from inside the state apparatus and the public institutions, grassroot lynchmobs fanatically serving as volunteer policemen on the social media platforms but also for example in the kindergartens and in the schoolyards etc etc. All of them are serving their globalist masters. Masters who never were elected by anyone.
This is a dangerous precedent. If this law is allowed to pass, we should also demand that all symbols that has been associated with death and destruction be banned. They would include the following: 1. Religious symbols like the crescent and the star, the cross, the Star of David, etc. 2. The communist hammer and sickle. 3. Pictures and T-shirts of Che Guevara. 4. Flags of countries who were colonial powers. And the list goes on. And I thought that countries like Australia did not mix politics with religion (Jewish Minister). #wakeup #standup #makeyourstand
There is no end to the list of things we could ban under the principles that inform this legislation. Roman artifacts? Egyptian? Mongolian? Japanese? Moorish? The British Empire? Banning the sale and removing the trade value is tantamount to destroying history. What is going to happen to peoples collections when they pass on and their children don't share their fascination for history? Can't sell them? Into the bin they go.. People will make the argument that they belong in a museum - and its true - to some extent, there certainly are items of immense importance that do belong in museums. But museums are also constricted by reality. They have limited funds, limited space and limited staff - they do not have the means to look after every single historical artifact in existence. It is not uncommon at all for militaria to be ex-museum stock, and it is thanks to private collectors that these items survive for future generations. I don't even have a single 20th century German item in my collection and still think it's sad to see such an ignorant law coming to Australia. These items are part of history and part of our shared human story, warts and all.
A good friend of mine has a war museum (in the UK) based upon his personal collection of over 40 years. For a long time he did not display any German items as he was concerned about offending people. It was actually the veterans themselves who changed his mind. Having done the tour of the museum they would ask him where the German section was and he would explain that there wasn’t one. To a man (and women) they said that there most certainly should be a German display as without it the rest just has no context. That’s the thing about history, you need to know the whole story and not just pick and choose based the sensibilities of the day (which let’s face it, can change like the tide).
Spot on Michael. I have not spoken to a single client, friend or any other person since this whole saga began 2 months ago who would argue with your very valid example of why this proposed legislation is wrong. The problem we face here is there is one lobbyist who is pushing this to any politician or media organisation who will listen. He continues to harangue and abuse any person who does not share his own narrow view on the issue and wants to wipe out all connection of the Third Reich era and German history because of the horrible atrocities Hitler unleashed on Europe during that period. To consign this period of history to the dustbin will only energise any supposed neo Nazis and give them a platform to attack any member of the Jewish faith for such a ban. Unfortunately many members of the Jewish community will no doubt feel the backlash of such a ban, which will only continue to divide society and polarise the issue. Let's hope cooler heads prevail here.
Ban a symbol? The spirit of the Gestapo is alive and well and ready to mobilize once again in Australia. Nauseating and patently terrifying. Thank you good Sir for your efforts!
I own several German m-43 caps complete with war eagle and swastikas, I wear them in public because I love the caps, nobody says a word and I will never allow anyone to dictate to me
Here in the US many want to ban AR rifles because of mass shootings. What they don't know is many more people here are killed ever year by drunk drivers. Should we ban alcohol?? All ready tried that. Maybe we should ban cars?? Great presentation!!!
The US Army 45th infantry division feathered a yellow swastika on a red diamond shaped unit patch. It was changed in 1939. Should the soldiers who served honorable wearing that patch before WW2 be dishonored because that symbol has been tainted?
How is this similar to the relatively recent ban on gel balls toy guns? Those ball guns were banned in WA unilaterally with no consultation whatsoever with those that engage in the hobby. I understand the dangers that people might be put if they wield those often realistic looking toys in public, the greatest danger mostly being to the wielders themselves from being shot by police. But that is not the point. Like Jamey said here about the memorabilia, there was no consultation with the public, there was no middle ground. An outright ban by a nanny state with authoritarian tendencies. That is not what a free country looks like, but that is what happens when a government feels emboldened by a voting public that overwhelmingly votes for them with no meaningful opposition. Who cares about principles of freedom and consulting the public that voted for them?
I'm a German headgear collector for over 30 years in the US. I've been following this story with interest. SS overcoats have already been destroyed by custom agents. If the law passes, will the government give you time to get rid of your items? Will you do what the government commands? What about the black market that is sure to break out. Many questions I hope we never have to answer. Please keep us in other countries updated.
This is Socialsm pur sang. In it's ful glory and intent: State controle of everything. ...like the period of Stalin: Communist Socialism. And Getman Socialism under the Kabinet of Hitlerr 1933 - '45. The State controlled everything!
Good historic review 👍 Crazy that you spread this knowledge! You sell history, no matter what happened - it's history. I am German and honestly, I am proud of the traditions and long history of my country! History consists of good and bad times. The winner always dictates if history is good or not. I am not a collector of militaria because in my country it is quite difficult to have. Anyway in you shop I'd probably show up every week to buy, learn more about history and craftsmanship. Well done! 💙🖤❤️🧡💙
Thank you sir, for what you do! And I couldn’t agree more. Kind regards from a military history loving swede who’s grandfather was killed in action serving in the RAF during ww2.
Majority of neo-n@zis don't even have the funds or the means to collect this stuff so who does this ban hurt the most? Legitimate businesses that want to preserve history, collectors that appreciate quality and want to know more about the period, future generations to come and so on and so forth. Those people are the ones that are most affected by this censorship and lack of any common sense. This hobby deserves to exist and these items have a right to exist. As a collector in my mid-twenties i'm only getting started with this stuff but i don't want it to go away. I've got plenty of enthusiasm and zeal to find out more about these wonderful artifacts.
I hear what you say, even though these things were a reminder of horrible and dark times, like it or not ,it is history. You are right where will it end. Just the other night I was watching a very popular gun shooters channel in the US and had Tucker Carlson on it 2 rifles presented one had a foregrip for hand so it does not get burned , and another had a hook on the shoulder butt. Tucker interviewed the actual law maker that banned this, and she couldn't tell Tucker what they were actually for ! Here we have law making power gone mad, and if you want my forecast, we haven't seen the start of it yet ! It is frustrating beyond belief.
As a fellow collector I'm sorry to hear about this BS Australia is going through, if the ban goes into affect I'm afraid it would spread to other countries too, Good luck!!!!
I collect old Poetry Books and have many by Rudyard Kipling from the 1910s to 1930s which all have Swastika symbols on their covers ( Mr Kipling was a strong British Patriot). They have this symbol because it means "Good Luck". At the risk of appearing an idiot; please see Wikipedia which says "The word swastika is derived from the Sanskrit root swasti, which is composed of su 'good, well' and asti 'is; it is; there is'. The word swasti occurs frequently in the Vedas as well as in classical literature, meaning 'health, luck, success, prosperity', and it was commonly used as a greeting" What are Australian politicians Thinking ? Is it a way of these Politicians confirming to their electorate that they are poorly educated, Woke, Virtue signalling muppetts ?
Will WW2 movies set in Europe need to have every swastika blurred out ? Documentaries about WW2 Germany have to have them all blurred ? history books with photos of German soldiers or flags or vehicles with scary emblems to be handed in to be censored ? I get very "offended' any time I see the current Chinese flag but that gets waved around every where. Do I get to have this banned or do my feelings about this not count? There are some people (idiots) that get 'offended' by the Australian flag sitting on the shelf behind him does that go? (seems like labour government are already trying to do that one by replacing it with minority flags) The point is any thing can 'offend' somebody BUT we have to all put up with things we may not like that is apart of what living in a society is .
Hello I have just found your channel I have collected ww2 militaria of all nations since the 1980s My collection started from my father bring in the British army and he gathered items during his service Over the considerable years I have never met any neo nazi fanatics who are serious collectors of either ww1 or ww2 German items I work as a community mental health support worker which often includes work with ex military personnel Every one has the desire for the memory of service people to be kept alive and this includes what they had to experience Collecting militaria is a hobby that people enjoy whilst being so important in keeping history alive to hopefully try to prevent the results of conflict happening again Keep up your good work and best wishes from collectors in England
Jamey was a history teacher. But if you find yourself unconvinced by his reasoned explanation, backed by historical data, then you are free to look up that information yourself. Just don't simply swallow government narrative uncritically. I have great love for the Jewish people and unashamedly so. Why do I collect, and especially documents? A big part is to do my part in preserving history to teach the next generation about what happened, something that I will not entrust to government to do impartially. Finally, let us put aside the type of items being collected. It is not about collecting; it is about freedom. Governments should not have constitutional or legal power to regulate the trading of something that is harmless or else cannot be proven beyond all doubt to be harmful. That is not what a free society looks like. Then again, Australians as a whole have recently shown that we do not put a high value on freedom and prefer nanny statism, so maybe there's that too.
Greg, we have already seen several examples of imported Third Reich items being held, shredded and classed as 'objectionable' in the eyes of A.B.F. under the 1956 Customs Act. So whilst the bill is still before parliament, being looked at by a select committee, every collector must contact their local member of parliament and make a submission to this committee to make their voice heard. If only a few of us dare speak up, those wanting to ban this part of collecting will win and no one, nor future generations will be able to collect and have the freedom to enjoy military history without feeling afraid of being locked up for a year in prison. It is a serious matter and one which we should all be well aware of and voice our opinions, as we have every right to do in a democratic country like Australia. JB
@@jameyblewitt3596 Thanks for the prompt response Jamey. This legislation seems excessive. The public display part i understand but the ban on trade is ridiculous, I will write to my local MP to express my concerns as a collector. Looking forward to the auction this weekend. Thanks again
Great presentation! This legislation is just another example of government over-reach based not on facts, but "feelings". However, human history is replete with horrors and atrocities committed by one group or another. Sometimes artifacts with symbols survive for centuries. Would the person who initiated this modern legislation also have hurt feelings regarding atrocities committed during other eras? The Spanish Inquisition? Classical Rome? Would this person "feel" justified in purging all museums and historical archives of all other "offensive" relics and symbols? Probably the vast majority of the surviving military artifacts of this period were war trophies taken initially by veterans as souvenirs of their campaign against an infamous and notorious regime. In the post-war period, there were no factories churning out miliaria for a defunct regime. These artifacts are now only collectible militaria, not symbols that could rally any viable resurgence in a totally vanquished ideology. To propose legislation to ban them is ridiculous.
So very spot on. I collect panther, tiger 1, KT wheels & tracks and KwK43 rounds yet no one has said a thing and all because they don't have a logo on them. God forbid if i display them with the PAB's and iron crosses then post a picture up. It seems they want you to learn history but they'll also ban it.
I can't agree with all the arguments you presented but I can agree that this type of proposed legislation is ridiculous. I work in the heritage field and live in a Muslim country where Christain crosses are not actually banned, but have been eradicated from so many ancient monuments here. What is even crazier about this legislation is that if not probably thought out it would stop a Hindu from parading what is to him /her a good luck symbol! Even Germany allows the continued existence of the swastika or a version thereof if it is something historical - and not displayed as a politcal symbol
This “minister” should have never been voted in…and ironically he will be building resentment for him and his “people “ by doing this…makes you think..
So much for pretending you live in a free country. "It is a misfortune for the dead man , that his enemy survived him , and wrote his story" Friedrich von Schiller
Let me first say, I’m a militaria collector, and do not want this ban in Australia. However, I don’t believe the axis comparison discussion is an effective way of presenting our argument- it only disparages other groups. Part of the problem is there are only Neo Nazis, not other axis nations., and their hate is real and dangerous. History is the key. It is important to preserve these relics so we never forget., especially young people. Understanding mid 20th century politics is critical to the future of this planet. We cannot look away, despite it being uncomfortable. Great video. Folks in the states are concerned that a ban could occur here.
Is there a way to get this stuff out of the country or will it be shredded on departure? Can it be sent out on consignment to be stored abroad? Hurts the heart to see old antiques destroyed.
The issue is not so clear cut as our modern day politicos think Grandfather served in the Stukas with I./StG 77, while his father in law (my great grand father) Georg hosted pre war regional Jewish business guild meetings at his brauerei defying the regional NSDAP administration. Georg was even investigated by the Gestapo for suspected ancestry. My Grandmother was even betrothed to a Jewish man across the Atlantic in NYC before the war, instead marrying my Grandfather in 1943............So I will keep my Grandfathers Luftwaffe dress dagger, ribbon bar, and war photo album until my dying day. Guaranteed.
Before being adopted by 'the Nazis' the swastika was a peace symbol in many Nordic countries, particularly Finland. In fact Finland also used the swastika symbol on its aircraft during WW2. In Ireland too it was seen as just another symbol from historic times, in the 1950s the Swastika Laundry was a wll known Dublin company and nobody associated it with Nazism. Sounds like Australia is going down the same woke culture route that is affecting daily life here in UK nowadays.... over sensitive snowflakes trying to re-write or obliterate aspects of history that don't align with their own thoughts.
i agree with your point, regardless im really tierd of people comparing death tolls because : 1. noone acounts for number of people they had access to and the time they had to do so 2. Starvation is unintentional (probably, cause the USSR had better ways to kill masses) a genocide is not.
>Starvation is unintentional In some cases like Maoist incompetence, but not others. The kulaks were specifically targeted for liquidation because they were a property owning lower middle class whose existence that was a threat to the ideology.
One day I would love to travel over to Western Australia from Victoria to visit your business and maybe take home a bit of history with me. 👍 Until then always BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT.😃👍
Well said and a brilliant argument . I worked with a man whose father was 14 years old at the end of WW2 and was forced into a German uniform and given a rifle and forced to fight the Americans. I think he was a hero not a criminal. There are not many German, Russian or Japanese businessmen in Australia making political donations, maybe look at who is making these donations and that will tell you why this legislation is going through.
I agree that this legislation interfering with the activities of genuine collectors is unfortunate and perhaps unfair. I assume that is has only been proposed due to the actions of a minority group of people who identify as neo Nazis. I'm sorry that people who aren't part of the problem are going to be adversely affected, but I do support in principal legislation that assists with ridding our society of neo Nazi coward scum.
I feel ya. I'm in the US and I'm wondering two things: 1) how did I get in this toilet? and, 2) whom's flushing the toilet? Cause I'm going to be a roach- they ain't getting rid of me...
Has Austrailia recalled their ban on guns? just after that went into effect China threatened to invade. Did your country return the confiscated guns or issue standard arms for home defense? How about those French subs - did they deliver any or teach your country to build your own?
So people travel the world to be amazed by the Roman Coliseum, which was built to house spectators watching people being slaughtered for entertainment, but collectors can''t preserve history so future generations can learn, totally hypocritical ban
Sir… you presented a good argument for your right to sell military collectibles. I’m sure you know the swastika has been around for thousands of years in Asian and Native American culture. The Nazis adopted it to reflect the fact they thought their world would last a thousand years! My relatives brought back souvenirs from Europe and Japan that I inherited. Like you so well said I don’t agree with the Nazi philosophy but we should not forget the past. My family had members on both sides of the conflict and I know what feelings that generates. Your prime minister should search his soul and determine what is most important to Australia… his personal feelings or the freedoms of his countrymen. I have family that served with Anzacs in WW 1 as well… good luck in your cause sir!
The woke agenda will soon include these items. Any item with a colonial past will soon be labeled “racist” “non inclusive” or “unrepresentative”of who we are in the 21st century. There already destroying old statues over seas and it will happen here too. You can laugh all you want but it’s coming. Marxism is alive and well in the 21st century.
My question is this...Does the proposed legislation include the image of a "Rising Sun"? If not, why not?! Seems to me THAT particular symbol would be much more pertinent to Australian history given Japan's imminent threat of invasion and occupation of the continent by the BRUTAL Imperial Japanese Army as well as the HORRENDOUS treatment meted-out to Australian P.O.W.s One cannot erase the images of history for they are FOREVER engrained in the pages OF history and in the MINDS and MEMORIES of those whose lives were impacted by such "icons". The destruction/reconstruction of the past by eliminating and/or tampering with the evidence OF the past by mis-guided individuals, governments or organizations (e.g. The Taliban, Khmer Rouge, ISIS, "Woke Movement"...) is a CRIME against history and should be considered as such!!!
JB... it is NOT about how many were murdered. The key matter here is "tyranny by the majority." Laws should not be written based on taste or politics.. This opens up the door to anything and everything. Whatever the majority does not like, the freedom of a minority are suppressed.
Over a decade ago I spent thousands on my collection. Its been stored away in boxes that I figure when I pass away my children can sell it as part of their inheritance. I thought I was saving pieces of history that would benefit my children's future. Now the government made it all worthless in this country to the point it's a crime. A slap in the face also to all allied soldiers that sacrificed a lot in blood to bring victory and trophies home. Now those are all worthless. The lucky country indeed 😂

The same is true for the Hundred Years' War and the Black Plague. Etc., etc., ad nauseum.
Good Quote, but attributed to the wrong man mate !
My granddad brought it home, it's part of my families history. I say "F&^k" the government .
I’m glad the US has the first amendment. I’m even more glad to have the second amendment which protects all the other amendments
But yet, the government is doing the same type of things concerning the Confederate statues. Once the government starts banning historical items because they don't like them, it will never stop. They slowly take away the freedoms of the citizens and they are gone forever.
Dictating, woke, spineless, Australia the country of free speech, democracy, expression, & opportunities?
Australia is a typical Commonwealth country without a Bill of Rights. America put the Bill of Rights in the Constitution for a reason.
This was well said. Im sorry you gents lost gun rights and now this just seems like anything goes when it comes banning "scary" things. Imagine telling an Australian ww2 vet that they had to destroy a trophy they brought home because it upsets people OR straight to jail...
I would not comply. My collection, I paid for it, it's mine and nobody else has any right to it.
I wish I can buy this man a beer
You are most welcome to!
Stand up for your rights people of Australia.
You have our support from Belgium! Great video!
mainstream: nazis are terrible and we shouldn't even look at them
also mainstream: let's make tons of movies about nazis!
You: Nazis weren't so bad
Nazis: Thank you! Now into the chamber, ja?
@RideAcrossTheRiver
I've done a genetics test, they wouldn't have sent me to the gas chambers.
They would include the following:
We should ban sales of Volkswagens going by the Govt logic.
Well said Jamie, Thankyou
Totally agree. I'm curious about how my Israeli K98 will be seen.
I own several German m-43 caps complete with war eagle and swastikas, I wear them in public because I love the caps, nobody says a word and I will never allow anyone to dictate to me
People are just uneducated about this, it's not hard to figure out. But thank you for the long explanaition.
Good presentation, you make some valid points. A collection of memorabilia isn't the same as believing and propagating an ideology.
Many people around the world are offended by the British Royal family , should anything related to them be banned??
yes please.
You have a point !!!
It was only tainted because of Allied propaganda. Even Patton said we defeated the wrong enemy.
No bans!Free expression always!🇨🇦
I’m at Concretor and a bit of common sense goes along way was lost about 30 years ago
If we hide it and pretend it does not exist, then we’ll be good.
Well done! 💙🖤❤️🧡💙
Governments love to protect us. 🤬
Thank you sir, for what you do! And I couldn’t agree more.
Kind regards from a military history loving swede who’s grandfather was killed in action serving in the RAF during ww2.
Incredibly good video about the subject of antiques and history
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼
The power of this cosmic symbol continues to increase even though the historical events are getting further away. Bizarre.
That ancient symbol still scares them sh*tless. 😏
The word swasti occurs frequently in the Vedas as well as in classical literature, meaning 'health, luck, success, prosperity', and it was commonly used as a greeting"
What are Australian politicians Thinking ?
Is it a way of these Politicians confirming to their electorate that they are poorly educated, Woke, Virtue signalling muppetts ?
Government should ban drinking on the job and sexual harrassment at parliament house. Tell that!
(seems like labour government are already trying to do that one by replacing it with minority flags)
The point is any thing can 'offend' somebody BUT we have to all put up with things we may not like that is apart of what living in a society is .
well said sir
Jeez! This is getting ridiculous! You guys gotta fight this. Suppression of information usually leads to mistakes repeated.
Hello I have just found your channel
I have collected ww2 militaria of all nations since the 1980s My collection started from my father bring in the British army and he gathered items during his service
Over the considerable years I have never met any neo nazi fanatics who are serious collectors of either ww1 or ww2 German items
I work as a community mental health support worker which often includes work with ex military personnel Every one has the desire for the memory of service people to be kept alive and this includes what they had to experience Collecting militaria is a hobby that people enjoy whilst being so important in keeping history alive to hopefully try to prevent the results of conflict happening again
Keep up your good work and best wishes from collectors in England
So what about the 10,000 year old Indian peace sign ? It’s the same symbol?
Sun sign.
Does anyone know as of when this legislation is set to be enforced? and will the legislation also include a ban on importing items purchased overseas?
Looks like Australia is going to ban holocaust Museams 😂
just tell people it's ukrainian
I cant believe what the Austrailan Customs did to that beautiful German uniform that was shown on Thomas Wittmann"s channel!
Is there a vid of that or a picture on internet?

This is what happens when you allow your government to start to infringe on your basic civil rights
Goes to show that the bagel bosses run Australia...prove Me wrong?
These people who want to ban the swastika are quite happy to walk around in Soviet hammer n sickle t shirts
I'm in USA and collect Nazi items from ww2. It doesn't mean I agree with what they did . I've always been interested in ww2.
Agree 🇺🇸
Let's ban Fanta😂😂😂
Brilliant
I can't agree with all the arguments you presented but I can agree that this type of proposed legislation is ridiculous. I work in the heritage field and live in a Muslim country where Christain crosses are not actually banned, but have been eradicated from so many ancient monuments here. What is even crazier about this legislation is that if not probably thought out it would stop a Hindu from parading what is to him /her a good luck symbol! Even Germany allows the continued existence of the swastika or a version thereof if it is something historical - and not displayed as a politcal symbol
Good on ya sport
Well on its way back to a prison colony
What about the swastika in war movies of which thousands have been made and are still being made???
I rhought these wars where fought for freedom , seems the exact opposite has happened.
The issue is not so clear cut as our modern day politicos think
Grandfather served in the Stukas with I./StG 77, while his father in law (my great grand father) Georg hosted pre war regional Jewish business guild meetings at his brauerei defying the regional NSDAP administration. Guaranteed.
If you erase history…it will happen again. The worst of history should always be taught, just so we don’t repeat the worst of history.
Sounds like Australia is going down the same woke culture route that is affecting daily life here in UK nowadays.... over sensitive snowflakes trying to re-write or obliterate aspects of history that don't align with their own thoughts.
so are they going 2 ban the buddha giant symbol swastika look alike
i agree with your point, regardless im really tierd of people comparing death tolls because :
1. noone acounts for number of people they had access to and the time they had to do so
2. Starvation is unintentional (probably, cause the USSR had better ways to kill masses) a genocide is not.
>Starvation is unintentional
In some cases like Maoist incompetence, but not others. The kulaks were specifically targeted for liquidation because they were a property owning lower middle class whose existence that was a threat to the ideology.
banning everything which you do not like helps. How about ban all socialist and communist symbols.
Then all the politicians in Australia would be banned.
does this mean if you make a model tank with correct symbols you will be breaking the law
One day I would love to travel over to Western Australia from Victoria to visit your business and maybe take home a bit of history with me. 👍 Until then always BE GOOD OR BE GOOD AT IT.😃👍
Ban politicians
Yes please.
I always knew that Australians we're racists.
Once more, I always thought the Australians were racists.
The Ban is Rubbish!
You cannot pick and choose which parts of history suits you all history matters be it good or bad
I feel ya. I'm in the US and I'm wondering two things: 1) how did I get in this toilet? and, 2) whom's flushing the toilet? Cause I'm going to be a roach- they ain't getting rid of me...
Update to the ban in Australia: ua-cam.com/video/0ztU2hoaC50/v-deo.html
Has Austrailia recalled their ban on guns? just after that went into effect China threatened to invade. Did your country return the confiscated guns or issue standard arms for home defense? How about those French subs - did they deliver any or teach your country to build your own?
Correct sir its our history
My uncle was an Oz war correspondent in the Far East and covered many Japanese hangings. I'm interested in USSR medals too.
Did you also hear the coat that was gone out there for mr. Whitman was toward up some General's coat poor guy pay $10,000 is that a shame or what

So people travel the world to be amazed by the Roman Coliseum, which was built to house spectators watching people being slaughtered for entertainment, but collectors can''t preserve history so future generations can learn, totally hypocritical ban
I think laws can not be retrospectively applied?
What next, the Union Jack and Stars and Stripes? or the Rising sun flag? The world is going mad.
Interesting. Notice how Communist or affiliated symbols aren't frowned upon like that one... I wonder why...
