Michael Bolton said he cried the first time he heard Laura sing this song. And it was hers. Timeless Laura. Sadly missed. Always remembered.
There is something about this song that reminds Laura of a great loss (or several) in her life. She fights back the tears every time she sings it. It is comforting to know that there is no sadness in Heaven. A place where Laura is certainly a major contributor to the Angelic choir. Peace and Joy Laura!

Everytime i heard this song i remembered this wonderfull woman who died 2 years and 2 days after my brother, i hope they continue take care about us, and of course never dsapered this kind of videos whit this georgeos voice, thanks to god and to their parents to bring her to the world.. regards to her family. When i was eigth years old, i heard Gloria´s songn and i´m felt in love with her...and still i'm. :)

Breath taking, I know it's a Bolton tune, but Laura nails it. This one and the 1984 live performance shadow one another quite nicely. Laura Branigan was such a great performer, absolute talent, music lovers around the world miss her dearly I'm sure, I know I do. I believe she would be making some amazing music if she were around today. Miss you Laura.

As a 70 yr old woman can still relate to the words of this version..(love Michael Bolton's version)...reminds when I learned that a special person in my life had married...devastated... he was my first love..shouldn't have felt that way..I was already married with 4 children...still I wished that I hadn't messed up eons ago..now both over 50 yrs and our mate have died..reconnected and just perhaps rekindling a relationship may be in out short future years...keeping fingers crossed...

signal44...sorry for the delay in replying to your lovely post...reflect but don't let it consume your thoughts...am speaking from recent experiences...my first love & I have been talking for over a yr but this winter he suffered from a highly intense fall & recovered ...then I stupidly fell from my power wheelchair only to fracture my right femur in two places near the hip, surgery 100 days hosp then 3 months in a rehab facility...home mid June & then rehospitalized couple of weeks ago due to medication interaction...have heard from for almost 3 weeks...think it has something to do with his dght (27-teacher) who still resides at home...tried calling several times no answer so now stopped...guess the saying is correct...THERE'S NO FOOL LIKE AN OLD FOOL"..

I was just knowing Laura Branigen had sung this song as her name mentioned in Indonesian Idol Concert after one of the female finalist sung this song. So that everybody look for Laura's video instead of Michael Bolton's.
Female singers could sing this song better than male singers, in my opinion.
