Laura started with Key G and shift to G# and taking all the souls of her fans with jaw dropping notes. Jennifer Rush's music video version was sang with Key A it was really good one I think, except her movement with the music was a little funny or she may shy with camera. Her six minutes album version was awesome and that's why "The Power Of Love" is the becoming the textbook of how to sing a song with heart and soul. And she is also the song writer and she is the boss. But album version was sang with Ab key. My grandmother turned 97, she met my grandfather when she was 17. Since my grandfather died 15 years ago she spends all day watching TV, she doesn't enjoy anything and every night before going to sleep she writes a message for my grandfather in a small notebook.
I love this version of the song. The raw power of her voice, the overwhelming emotion, it brings tears to my eyes and yes, I know that power of love. I wish everybody could experience it, it's a life-changer.

Because only Laura Branigan sang this not just with powerful voice, but also you can feel the song coming from her heart, Laura brought the true meaning of the song, and no one else

I absolutely loved her ... I wore out that 1995 cd, I still play her music, esp. this one. Her husband would've been ill by this time, passing in 96'. This song had to have held quite a depth in meaning to her. That shot of them; her kissing the side of his face, is truly beautiful. She passed in 2004, just 9 years later. What a sad loss ... she was a gift. Superior vocals. I wished she had finished that next album she had begun working on ... it was not to be. RIP to them both.
Celine Dion's performance is impeccable, Jennifer Rush's voice is beautiful, but this interpretation of Laura is out of category. She succeeds in elevating a sentimental song to a higher level. She moves our minds very deeply, in a way that we will never forget her. Thank you, Laura.❤❤❤
No, you're not the only one. I'm still teary eyed several minutes after listening to her version of the song, while reading through some of the comments.

This performance is far better than the entire clown show known as music industry today! She doesn't need to expose her body and shake it to earn popularity and respect! She has done it with the main talent a singer has to have which is her voice! One of the greatest songs I have ever heard! Rest in peace, Laura!
Rest in Peace indeed. However, there is a more powerful voice, one that is unmatched, her name: Floor Jansen, lead singer of Nightwish. Fans who know her, call the ending of her songs, a Floorgasm. Anyway, no other singer can compete with Floor. Laura was great, but Floor has her, and everyone else, beat.
You know, you can complement one artist without tearing down others. Female artists can wear whatever they want and If they want to shake their a$$ along with it then so what.

2022! And I still can’t get enough of her version of this song! Power beyond ANYONE EVER! Especially at the end where she just BELTS THOSE OUT bringing her knees to her chest!!!!! I miss her RIP our Laura. 😢
Hers is THE version of this song.
Catwalkpurz I agre with all of my heart. still cryes when I hear it . edited for spelling errors
Put her in the HOF already. I just came in my shorts!
The best and the greatest version of the power of love. I keep playing this song without getting tired of it. Very sentimental song that keeps me reminding of my past girlfriends😂😅Love you Laura. RIP.
This is THE Version
My grandmother turned 97, she met my grandfather when she was 17. Since my grandfather died 15 years ago she spends all day watching TV, she doesn't enjoy anything and every night before going to sleep she writes a message for my grandfather in a small notebook.
My dad is 81 he was only with Barbara 3 years but they were kindred souls barbara died 3 years ago & my dad hasn't been the same
This is a wonderful song. Many versions are really outstanding, but to my personal opinion no one has done better than Laura Branigan.
I love this version of the song. The raw power of her voice, the overwhelming emotion, it brings tears to my eyes and yes, I know that power of love. I wish everybody could experience it, it's a life-changer.
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
I couldn't agree more with so many who have commented. Laura's performance epic! I had never heard her sing this until just a few months ago it came on UA-cam while I was driving. I had tears down my face. I couldn't help it.
fabulous singer
Because only Laura Branigan sang this not just with powerful voice, but also you can feel the song coming from her heart, Laura brought the true meaning of the song, and no one else

Lauras voice was so powerful and emotional.Gone but not forgotten.
Perfeto...
Beautiful voice
Suaranya seksi. Serak serak basah
No backing tracks no dubbing or lip syncing just a God given powerful voice
This is the version recorded on his album. Here she does not really sing.
It's lip synced. Notice the ending.
@@dennydeckerful
Sorry it’s not lip syncing don’t know what your seeing; you couldn’t move and hold notes like that if your lip syncing.
@@robertbyington7715 It's obvious, but believe what you want.
@@robertbyington7715 It's very obviously lip synced, it's the version recorded on the album. A real live version is here though: ua-cam.com/video/ypWWYHPd43Y/v-deo.html

@ho ber - I heard the original way back when. This version though is my favorite.
100% Laura Branigan
No shitty auto tune today’s singers many of them couldn’t do these hits on notes she really was so passionate about her music we don’t have that in our music today it’s very blazah
Yes 😭

I've listened to the CD and JR versions countless times, but nothing can beat the raw and saddest emotion of Laura's version.😢
Voices that give you goosebumps….. they are the best, and she’s one of them!
@ho ber never heard of her
@ho ber nobody cares
@ho ber you can't compare laura to Jennifer rush, Laura had a very powerful strong voice Jennifer rush didn't give that impression from my perspective.

It's not just her voice but her passion too
Still the most superior version of this song ever. This gal still gets played in my iTunes in 2020 - I have all her albums and will always say she was underappreciated - she deserved to be known like Mariah and Whitney and Barbra.
She is good, but no one made it better than Jennifer Rush with the original version.
@@ralfburon6179 Yeah,no hate on Laura(RIP),but Jennifer Rush sung it with passion and soul. You could feel the emotions in her voice. The original and the best.

She is the only "diva" on the planet that I will never ever forget in my heart...
Her heart and soul were present.. she is not just singing but also story telling at the same time. RIP Laura
D best version
Truth !!!
Great female singer of all time

Celine Dion's performance is impeccable, Jennifer Rush's voice is beautiful, but this interpretation of Laura is out of category. She succeeds in elevating a sentimental song to a higher level. She moves our minds very deeply, in a way that we will never forget her. Thank you, Laura.❤❤❤

This performance is far better than the entire clown show known as music industry today! She doesn't need to expose her body and shake it to earn popularity and respect! She has done it with the main talent a singer has to have which is her voice! One of the greatest songs I have ever heard! Rest in peace, Laura!
Written and performed by Jennifer Rush...

I have no answer as to why I'm just seeing/hearing this for the very first time but dear Lord, what a powerful song & performance! I've known of her other songs but can't ever recall this.
