I'm 50 yrs old. I've been around the block. Retail, grocery etc etc. Around 2012 I switched careers and entered retail for my first time. I sold shoes for Sears and made I believe about 10 dollars an hour. The pay didn't suite me well so I looked for other ways to make money while still working there. I was allowed at that time to make a small commission on shoes that I sold via the internet. I believe Sears had a Store to Home program. In the year total that followed I sold about about $23,000 dollars worth of shoes all were at discount prices or already discounted rather. After doing this for a year i twas told to stop and well canned. After that job i was hired by a grocery company. I caught on quick in my department and was selling yogurt (single serving yoplait) and getting rid of them by the pallet every week or two, etc etc. I left that job after about 10 yrs.
Now I am employed by companies and after maybe 3 months given a warning and then let go. I wait a month and a new job pops up.
With a resume like mine covering so much is a online recorded video really that important? Is it possible to have a resume that reveals to much?

I'm so damn good at my job that my boss doesnt say anything, just hands my work without a guide and moves on, then I look at my cooworkers and see their task; its so simple, there's even a guide on how to complete it. I mean? lmao, seriously? I've talked to my boss about it and she knows about my ability, and she pretty much said "You have to change your envriroment." What she meant was: "you already do the most difficulty task in here, you dont wanna a raise(I said the to here a lot of times), you want a challange, theres none in here. You have to look outiside." Its just so easy... 99% of the time I feel bore to death.

Working over age 62 is for suckers when life expectancy is only 83 yrs. of age. The secrets to retirement is to save your money stop buying stuff that you don't really need and payoff any out standing nagging little bills. If you can aquire income property while you are working would be great. Someone asked a 83 yr. old man, which would you rather have, more time or more money?

What I never understood was, if Im overqualified for the position Im applying for, then why even bring me in for a interview in the first place. Its like you’ve seen my resume an could tell based off the resume if Im overqualified

Really not my place to say but in this Pacific instance I would say don't apply for a job you didn't want unless you think there was a lot of room for elevation
