Why Smart People Procrastinate More
Scientifically speaking, procrastination is something that everyone does, regardless of their intelligence level. But, it did get me thinking… why do intelligent people procrastinate more than others?

some of the things I did which I now regret 1. when I was done a task I would present it so I could get the next task my coworker use to finish stuff disappear and then at the end of the day he would announce he was done 2. when I didnt have assignment I would ask for assignments 3. a couple of times I stopped by to pick up my check or finish a task only to get roped in to help a coworker etc 4. i trained and created training documentation to help the new hires this was mentioned on my par but beyond that it meant nothing to the organization and it gave my competition a leg up I sat next to a guy who would come in with a briefcase open it take out his novel and start reading it if someone came towards him he could put it back into his briefcase I dont want to be that guy but since things I did werent appreciated why do them

I left that toxic work situation quite suddenly after a prophetic dream. That dream came early one Friday morning. I shared it with my driver moments before leaving the house at 8am. The unfolding of the event in the dream happened before 3 PM that Friday. My resignation was handed in by the following Tuesday. May God be praised for spearing me the dire consequences if I had not listened to his promptings.

My first 4 years was fantastic, I was consistently asked to contribute to projects, was able to innovate and develop new items. Two women in my team evidently didn't like me succeeding and decided to completely screw me over, my supervisor believed their lies, HR got involved and it has been a steady decline since. I'm now a pariah, a scapegoat and consistently undermined. I used to start early and finish late, along with working through my lunch breaks. Now I work from my start time to finish time, take all of my due breaks and don't bother sharing the improvement opportunities I see or could contribute to - I just DGAF anymore and have stopped networking within my business, I don't trust anyone there anymore. I'm putting my energy into other places and will take the skills I'm continuing to develop out of work hours elsewhere soon, to a less toxic environment.

Gaslighting was coming from my subordinate who was in the organization much longer than I but lacked qualifications and institutional experience. He teamed up with a supervisor of long standing and wrote a letter against me after my boss humiliated me in several meetings. I wrote her a letter since she did 180 degrees on this very employee whom she wanted to transfer due to his persistent lack of respect. I saw the writing on the wall on a Friday and by the following Tuesday handed in my resignation. I know for a fact they regretted this gaslighting when these very employees overstepped their boundaries not too long after my departure. The workplace was then inundated with Covid. I still wish them the best.

Thanks for the great video. When your manager unexpectedly started critizing you even when you made progress in the work, and said he simply wanted to help you grow, will it be a clear indicator of gaslighting? Or in a scenario that, the manager started comparing you to some other coworkers and implies you are something less by saying "You are level-X, which is a very high level. The expectation of level-X is blablabla" even when you are confident about your contribution.

Oh! This is nurse school tactics, in the summer semester, with TWO 3 month courses in a ten week period. Along with, the look and tone of concern....that is FAKE. I have began to download my content, and stay off school web site as much as possible. Only go online to thier site at non judgmental times DONT LOG ON IN THE WEE HOURS, then show up to lecture or labs. They know. Thats a reflection of poor time management.

I don’t know if it’s a common thing or I’m just very unlucky but in every single workplace I’ve worked, there was a sneaky coworker that ruined my experience and mental health at some point. I even regret the career path I’ve chosen now just because of these people. Corporate professional companies are much better, but small companies are the worse.

Yeah good video, except for comments about HR. Never. Ever. Trust HR. If they do something its probably to field something else they have going on... like if they wanted to get rid of someone anyway. They are NOT there for you. They might even think in their mind that they are, but they really are not.

I laugh at the replacements. They find other full-time jobs so they can't be scheduled full-time once they have been there for two weeks. It's not the employees, it's the owner. They eventually quit.

In my experience: HR, Your Supervisor, and Management are all in on it; they want you GONE! No amount of conversations will change that fact because they are all bullying the employee. Only a Lawyer may be able to help, but if you have to leave your job, who can afford a lawyer?! It's better to maybe stay a little longer, bank some money, and hopefully get another job.

3:39 This is what happened in my previous job. People lied about me being incompetent, even though there was an electronic trail of my work that proved otherwise. When I started telling the coworkers I trusted about what was being said about me, most of them were shocked & horrified because they could see clearly that none of it was true. The silent treatment was also extremely frustrating. Certain people would ignore me when I asked questions, even if it was necessary for my particular job.

I felt it coming. The fit wasn’t there. My boss distanced himself or otherwise blew me off without reason. The role was rapidly changing from my hired role to one I wasn’t interested in. I had a great year-end evaluation so I thought I could buy time. Then one day it was over. There was no active or obvious disclosure of a reason other than “we’re going to go our separate ways.” It took about 30 seconds. Done. I received a severance package and that was that. Good riddance!

The company has the right to know what the employees are doing (the company pays for the worker’s time, after all) and how they are using the work devices, but they should tell them upfront. If you work for an employer who puts hidden surveillance on you, leave the fucking bastards. They are psychopathic animals and have no concept of respect. And last, but not least, a lazy employee is very creative and wastes time even if he/she is physically present in an office.

I am currently suspended from work pending a harassment case that my coworker is filing against me. For several months she has been walking down different aisles that she sees me in, she changes her language from English to Spanish Everytime I go around her. She gets along with everyone else on the team, but when I come around she avoids eye contact, turns her head the other way, or gets up and walks away. I don't make eye contact, or talk to this person, and I recently wrote an email out with concerns about the social clicks on the team, and certain members not being productive on the team, and my boss was s part of their click. Now I am being accused of Harassment. They're saying that I follow her around, and Try to be next to her, and this is all not true. I am always alone when tasking, and I rarely converse with the team because my boss runs the team on a buddy system, and nobody works with those other teammates except amongst themselves. My boss said in a meeting once that if you have a friend on the team it's a plus. I tried getting him to put me with a variety of colleagues on the team to execute resets, and build comradely ship, but my opinions, and ideas constantly get dismissed. He has also told me if I don't like his team, or how he does things to simply go apply at another store, or go to a red vest associate. I work for Lowe's as a MST Associate, but currently suspended for something that I did not do. Tell me what you think, if I am fired do you think I may have a case to sue? What do you think may be going on here with this associate/ colleague of mine.
