I think the Marilyn vs Cleopatra was. Both sides
were straight up vitriolic with the most brutal diss in ERB history. This one was great too but Clint was the one with the killer lines
Being a Bruce Lee fan, I have to say, Clint erased him form history.
The line about the empty chair is cause Clint Eastwood argued with and empty chair as if president Obama was sitting in it at a RNC.
THIS. And it was kinda funny, too, have to admit.
He actually later admitted that he really regretted doing it. He was copying a type of performance art at the time and he just did not do it great.
Yeah, it was an acting exercise, but people not in the business often don't appreciate it.

At least the cleopatra one was both sides doing it, this was a brutal one sided slaughter. Bruce came to rap battle, clint came to murder a guy with his words.

I grew up in the 80's watching those old martial arts flicks. Yes, the voice overs were horrible, but you couldn't tell me those movies weren't the best! Loved them!

I honestly think if Clint Eastwood was in his prime and did this battle, it would play exactly like this. I think they channeled him perfectly. It's funny, I showed this video to my father in law and he was like, "Oh, it's Clint Eastwood!" I laughed and was like no. But he did a good job right!

Bruce Lee's bars slapped harder when this was made....back in...2012 I think it was, the RNC invited Clint Eastwood as a guest speaker, and he did a monologue with an empty chair that was supposed to represent Obama....like an empty suit, or someone that doesn't listen....anyways he was severely mocked for it and that's what the Bruce Lee line was making fun of.

Brandon Lee was in a 1 or 2 movies before the being killed on the set of the Crow. Brandon was supposedly to be the Crow for a couple movies, but unfortunately they had to complete filming the first one with archive footage, clever camera angles, and a body double.
Actually Brandon LEE had 9 movies in the US and 4 or 5 in China he also had side movies that he wasn't credited for doing
Yep, and Brandon Lee died doing The Crow 2, not the first, hence the sequel reference. He also did Showdown in Little Tokyo with Dolph Lundgren
I bet that I'm the only one who noticed, but the "Do you feel lucky?" is a reference to a character that Clint Eastwood played. It was a detective who, before shooting a person in the head, would ask, "Do you feel lucky?"

This one and the Cleopatra rap are my all time favorites to watch people react to just for the savagery. ERB just isn't capable of bringing the heat the way they used too. Thankfully, they still got that swag and the word play.

Brandon Lee is who you were thinking of at the end. He played the lead in the movie "The Crow". The scene where he's getting shot on the top of the building, one of the blanks was replaced by a real bullet. To this day it is still a mystery to who put the bullet in the gun.
Actually, it wasn't a real bulet that killed Brandon. The blank that was fired before in one scene was not fully cleaned out of the gun, and when they reshot the next scene to do the scene again, a tiny fragment of the blank that was fired in the first scene was still inside of the gun. So when the gun was reloaded with a second blank cartridge and then fired out, the tiny fragment was shot out of the gun, just like a bullet would, hit Brandon in the head, and they thought it was just a flare up. Brandon had thought that it was a misfire and it scarred the outside of his face for a bit and produced a tiny ass cut, but the cut quickly gored over like any bloody cut would and Brandon thought he was fine. However he wasn't, and the tiny fragment inside of his brain lacerated and moved around inside of his head, causing him to have a brain bleed and eventually die from the microscopic wound inside of his head.
In short, it was a blank bullet fragment that killed Brandon, and since then, Hollywood has instituted that they have several models of the same guns, so that when they are now fired, the are replaced with another gun, and the same gun cannot be fired again until it's cleaned and inspected before it's reused.

Not quite. They'd used prop bullets in a gun-that had no gunpowder, but the tip came off and got stuck in the barrel. Next time they used the gun, with blanks, the bullet piece got fired like normal and hit him in the chest. And the scene where it happened was originally the scene where you see Funboy shoot him in the flashback. That footage was destroyed, so when you actually see him getting shot in the flashback in the movie, it's a stunt double. Who actually is one of the John Wick directors.

What I liked about this one was, if Clint was aiming anywhere above the belt, then he was aiming too high!

Brendon Lee was shot and killed on set for The Crow, rumors has it that someone replace a single round of the blanks with a live round in a scene with over 40 guns. Not sure how true that is, but it *was* in that scene Brendon was shot.
The last 20 minutes was played body double Marc Dacascos with Brendon face superimposed onto his own.
Marc later got the lead role in The Crow: Staiway to Heaven.
A reimagined version of the original.
They fired improperly made Dummy rounds(A cartridge with the bullet so you can see the lead on camera in the chamber) that still had the primers inserted(supposed to be removed) and the power of the primer lodged the lead bullet into the barrel.
The next scene involved shooting a Blank(Primer & powder but no lead bullet).
But the force of the Blank's powder pushed the bullet out the barrel and struck Lee in the abdomen.
This is why you ALWAYS check a gun before loading it making sure the barrel is clear.
Another incident killed an actor because a small piece of lead was still in the barrel due to improper cleaning and when the Blank was used the lead was sent flying into the actor (brain?) killing them.
I think it was a soap opera star in that one.
I think they put the gun to their head playing around and pulled the trigger.
This is WHY they say NEVER point a gun at anyone, or face the barrel and ALWAYS treat it as if it is loaded.
