- It's been a long time since you guys have seen this reverse trike build but today we are painting and finishing this project. I did want to originally replace this old CBR 600 engine with something better but I gave up looking for a better engine.

With over 600K subs (well deserved!) I hope you can eventually get another shop (with a concrete floor!) with some room for equipment and projects. But then, you've really accomplished an amazing amount in that old wooden shed. Thanks for the videos! 👍👍
Man, it would be badass if you had an indoor area to keep all your projects safe and rust free
That's what happens when you keep building projects but never build storage. He could sell 3 toys and have the money for a decent building (that's what I would do) even a shipping container
@@SadPuppySoup Or make the shop area from shipping containers, or rather they are the walls for the shop and the walls act as storage. Another UA-camr/Heavy Machine operator/fix/builder Andrew Camarata has that kind of shop/garage.
I think he has enough subs that want that, that if he did some kind of fundraiser for a new shop he could raise all the money he needs. That is my .02 anyway. I would donate for sure. He deserves a decent shop with the amount and quality of work he does.
Most the channels I follow built new shops big shops in the last two years heck some even built new houses too so I kind of been expecting him to announce one soon@@eriklarson9137
He lives in a HCOL especially for any sort of commercial type area. Finding a cheap garage/warehouse area where he's at is NOT cheap.
Transparent panels would look pretty cool I think :)
That turned out pretty damn sweet. Looks like a 3 wheeled Ariel Atom.
THNX I am 62 years old and really appreciate so many projects and seeing a completed project. Of course everyone wishes they could help with 2 hours of labor. worldwide...
You should be able to keep it registered as a motorcycle and street drive that thing. Sweet build!
Wow it sure did clean up nice. Looks so killer with the red paint job. Probably my favorite project. That cart looks like so much fun, and now looks complete.
Man it looks so good! Can’t believe it’s been since 2019 it doesn’t feel that long haha. It’ll be good to see it ripping!
Looks great Chris! Well done! 😁👍🏼
4 years! This is the project that got me into this channel. It’s a shame you don’t love it, but I understand, if it’s given you so much trouble, just be done with it I guess.
Sling Blade- Ain't got no gas in it! Great job Chris!
This one of my favorite builds, please don’t neglect it again. 😊
Chris, they make a clip on trigger for spray cans. It's a lot easier on your hands. You paint almost like using a paint gun. And get a short piece of 3 in PVC pipe and a cap. The drill a hole in the cap, almost but not quite centered. Put a bolt thru that hole and tighten a nut (use washers). Then you can chuck the bolt in your drill, drop a can in the pipe and spin to shake. I use a small piece of foam to help it shake (the off center hole starts the shake). Takes a lot of the work out of rattle cans.
I recently got a $15 harbor freight paint gun and they work great out of the box. Genuinely worth the money. I recently primed a 64 Grand Prix and it turned out great especially for my first time with an actual paint gun it was awesome
I think it looks amazing , really like the colour choices . It’s mad it’s been 4 years , hearing stuff like that makes me feel old as it definitely didn’t feel that long since I watched you start building it . Time flys by way to quickly.
Love to see this on a track . After all the work it deserves a fun day out 👍
I can identify with your build and time involved. I built a non-reverse trike in 2013 and I know full well what you must have gone through. I swear, I assembled and disassembled mine 50 times during the build. It was an open frame, street legal (motorcycle) with no real amenities, just barely legal. 2.5 L Dodge turbo mid- engine, 5 speed manual. However I got caught in a frog strangling rain a couple years ago, 110 miles from home. It changed my perspective of what you need on a vehicle if you want to be able to enjoy it on any given day. Guess what. It's apart again while I build a foam composite body for it. Yes, an actual d.o.t approved windshield, wipers, defroster, roof, side widows, full body panels, new instrumentation, like a hundred other pieces I never thought I would need originally. You did a great build on yours. I really like the single rear wheel layout because it gives you so much more room in the front for essential stuff like brake pedals and a decent dashboard. Ugh...Stay safe with your new toy.
Looking great. You should build a cowl to cover the gauge cluster and provide some wind protection.
Props to you, mate.
Looks amazing 👏, your the man.
To build from scratch is next level 👌.
I would make it street legal. That would be an insanely fun daily driver.
Depends on if his state allows it.what he has to do to it.
You've got no idea about the drawings and paperwork you've got to go through
@@jerrywilcox9890 here in AZ you can get just about anything legal on the street. And I know there's a few services out there that help with getting stuff like this registered.
@@migueldenboer5186 here in AZ you can get just about anything legal on the street. And I know there's a few services out there that help with getting stuff like this registered. I've done it, and depending on the mvd you can get the vin number same day.
You think someone would insure it? And it's low enough someone might run him over
My son had two cbr600 and loved them both . No start issues even after sitting the winter
Hey bro, I had to say I watch your videos and they’re awesome. You are amazing at what you do. Your craft is incredible. But one thing that really amazes me is that you do everything by yourself you are a one man machine. love your work man keep it up.
That color combination just flat dab works. Nicely done.
Really appreciate the videos, your skills loaded with a heavy dose of being prepared to experiment/invent are inspirational.
I am in the midst of several similar projects and your attention to detail and getting things right certainly helps me to dedicate time rather than simply trying to get it done.
Thanks again
Dang man, you build some of the coolest stuff, you the MAN !!! 👍👍
You should have sprayed etching primer on it first it would be a lot stronger and last a lot longer
Indeed...
Don't they make self etching paint?
Yeah primer and clear coat
The best part of this video was the triumphant return of outtakes/fails at the end. I missed those! I vote to bring them back.
Nice! The foreground color looks better if you use a white coat or white ground under
As commented, self etch primer, then red paint, white paint,….add then a 2 K clear and add to the durability of the finish. ( considering all the time and effort to dis assemble and reassemble
Overall very nice looking project result!
I cant wait till you have a bigger shop that way you can keep these amazing projects indoors.
Wow! Looks great. Going to have to go back and re-watch some early ones.
This is the project that got me interested in this channel. Really happy to see it back!
I've been waiting for those ( almost ) 4 years to see this finished.. very cool man !
Hell yeah man! That's a nice looking ride now! Keep your awesome content coming! I look forward to every one of your videos.
I subscribed right around the time you started this project. I bet it feels good to cross it off the to-do list. 😎
Wasn't sure about the white, but once finished it looks superb with the red frame.
I can't wait to see when you get a huge garage where every one for your projects to exist!
It looks so cool, have you ever considered getting one of the frames hot galvanised? Some placese cold dip the whole thing, that way it would probably last a lifetime, I it gives a rather stealth gray look 👍 Love your work, keep it up 😁
This one is a beauty! (Not that your other projects are not cool looking too, though). The only one tiny detail that really cannot do without some paneling [IMHO] is the back side of the clocks.
The white a-arms makes the front end look great.
I would think black steering shaft, pedals, shifter and swing arm.
Oh and a new rear wheel, the front ones look great.
Man i love the old wooden workshop so relatable, love the work man keep it up bud
That is my favorite project on the channel, what a joy to see it finally finished, it looks like a very fun machine to drive, but isn't it very close to the ground?
Yeah, color combo looks great
Young man you're a very bad ass builder I watched you for years I've actually built my own go-kart between you and cars and cameras you guys are badass someday I like to meet you I think what you did with the red and white is that was the perfect idea wonderful job you are a heck of a fabricator I love watching you guys's videos awesome job dude!!!!!
I see what the problem is! (love that you shared the ending)
Great job!!! You might consider putting lights, blinkers, brake lights… then go get titled/registered for street use as a home built motorcycle… no reason it couldn’t be a “daily driver”.
Not as simple as just throwing that stuff on😂😂.depends on the state he's in.
Pa that thing wouldn't be street legal no matter what you do to it.
@@jerrywilcox9890 Ive done similar in my state. Most states have a checklist, as long as you meet the checklist requirements, it’s simple. As a motorcycle it’s easy, it’s a car where you have issues, because of a lot of states emission requirements, but no state as far as I’m aware has an emission standard for a motorcycle and yes a trike falls under motorcycle. I’ve personally built 11 custom home built motorcycles. 2 of them I sold to a guy who moved to California and he had no issues getting them titled and registered in California. Arguably the most strict when it comes to stuff like that.
@@AkPacerPilot not all states allow it my state they won't let ya.they wouldn't even let he drive it in my state they would make him park it.
@AkPacerPilot it not that easy lol nor simple lol.he found out the last time he was going to do it.
Like everybody else says, love to see finished projects.
Really like the color combination.
Red and White is the colour of my Dansih flag - the oldest flag in the world, so I approve! And black accent those two colours exellent!
Infact those colours are my favourite colours!
paint scheme really pops! You might need to put a harness on it before they let you on a track
Finishing touch would be a box for the gauge cluster, then get it street legal. Cool build!
Me personally I would of painted the A arms black but other then that it looks amazing !! Great job…!!!!
It looks super sharp. Way better than those slingshot things!
You should make your rack adjustable in length by putting the next size up tubes on one side and sliding over other tubes
This is astonishing work! blimey! what a guy
If u paint a light or dark color behind the red it will make it pop more or darken it depending on which way u go, looks cool chris!
The engine start frustration was the best part. Been there.
Great color choice looks awsome
Looks amazing man came out really good. It's gonna be sic out ripping around
It just needs some sort of cowl around the clocks, maybe use diamond plate to match the floor pan?.. everything else looks spot on in my opinion. Well done mate 👍🏼
The paint is awesome.
Put some mirrors and a seat belt on that thing and get it registered and insured. That's what I would do. That thing looks awesome.
That's an awesome build right there. I love the paint job too. Reminds me of my very first bike I had as a kid. It was a red and black bike that I loved riding with everywhere. 🚴🏻 The only thing I hoped that you'd added, was a brand new driver's seat. The same ones that F1 and IndyCar drivers use. I think that'll really make your trike stand out. I can't wait to see you take that baby out for another drive on the road. Hopefully you'll get it licensed, registered and insured. 📝💳 Once you find a track nearby, I'll be looking forward to seeing how that trike performs in full force.
But nonetheless...
Great job on finishing your trike project. ✌🏻
Seems like it was just last year...Better Late than Never ! Looks great Chris.
So cool great job! Some minimaly stratigicly placed panels might be cool. Take it to the track in Dawsonville.
Nice work. I recommend you to buy a Pipe Grinder for these type of jobs in the Future, it works faster and better. Keep doing what your doing.
autocross with that thing would be super fun in my opinion or a track like you said. If possible title it and register it, but i know some states can be tough on that. I love it and love what you do
Excellent ! As with all your projects always impressive 👏 I suggest street legal it. It can be done 👌
I started watching you because of this project.
puppy training pads work great for catching spillage when placed under your drain-pan.
Consider covering the chassis with outdoor rated vinyl like that used in or on boats or Sunbrella water proof material. That would look really cool and it would give excellent protection in case you got caught in a sudden rain squall. I think there was a BMW concept that was covered with a fabric and you could see the tube frame in some locations.
Some areas could be sewn together and other areas, like between the suspension arms could be zippered to the front portion and the rear portion. Extra material is allowed for to cover the zippers. There were some French cars in the 1930s that were covered with colored canvass. You could do the same thing. I think it would look cool. Make patterns so that when you get tired of the color you can easily replace it. You should also install a plexiglass wind screen to keep bugs and sand out of your face.
Awsome job at each time !! congratulations from France amigo
awesome build! Best blooper reel yet!
Congrats. Love this project.
yes, I want to see it on a track! Please! Nice job!
I've bn watching your videos for a long time and this is my favorite, and I like the color choice
You might want to look into how difficult it would be get that thing to a state where you could get it titled, registered, licensed, insured, and fully street legal. My guess is that some additional lighting, a horn, a rearview mirror or two, and a few other bits and bobs would get it there. Check with your state department of transportation about that. It might be easier than you think.
That was the project that got me hook on your page.
Super cool.
If you decide to sell I might be a buyer.
I think you nailed the paint scheme chris.
That clip at the end had me laughing, I know the frustration.I 😆
No splash - Add in a Tee & a Ball Valve. Then a plug to ensure the ball valve don't accidently leak.
Looks amazing.
Can't believe i've been watching you over five years now
Finally Chris, well done, as they say getting their is half the fun! How hard would it be to get it registered for road use? As others have suggested different ways maybe you could give it a go as long as you could borrow somebody's address if you rego'd it out of state if you went that way.
By having it registered it would be worth more if you decided to sell it! What ever you do Chris it is your vehicle and I just hope you enjoy it, have trouble free times, and keep safe
Proud of you mate,!
Tony from Western Australia 🇦🇺
Okay, it looks really awesome but it needs one more thing. It needs a cover for the gauge cluster. Seeing the back of the gauge cluster makes it look unfinished. Otherwise it's badass.
Great video man! Lol this is the part of any project I dislike the most, sanding sanding sanding then paint and more sanding 😅
You can use the plastic from barrels. For the skin. High and dry is more fun.
I wish I could be there and help you get started with sheet metal work. But I live in Sweden so can't do that. But it would be so fun to see you get into that and be able to take your builds to the next level. Look at the cyclekarts for example, that could be a perfect project to get into sheet metal body work. Doesn't take much either, a simple english wheel which you could build yourself, and sandbag with a mallet and a few dollys and hammers.
U have same design of front shock with "boosted lifestyle" and it's really nice design u two did!🤘
Actually looks sick!! Well done sir! 💪💪🤯
Another quality build
I like the red and white 👍
White frame would've gotten filthy
You know what they say about all work and no play...you need to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
I see your volume of watchers has increased quite a bit, good for you man, thanks
Nice color scheme, I love it.
Looks amazing
Looks excellent
Add transparent paneling, 1 or 2mm polycarbonate, maybe tinted. You still get to keep that look 99% but get the benefits of paneling.
Just posted the same thing then seen this, definitely the best compromise 👌
Looks great I see a great green machine right behind it looks like it has seen light of day since you put in there grave digger ninja is what is talking about Bryce
I had picked black with the red… all tho very nice build. Greets
Ain't got no gas in it lol. Looks awesome, I like the color choices.
We miss you, reverse trike!
