Cindy's Strawberry "Jello" Salad

Americans. We call Gelatin "Jello" and Whipped Topping "Cool Whip".
Cindy's Strawberry "Jello" Salad (from my Sis-in-law, Cindy)
1 pint to one lb. of fresh Strawberries, sliced (add as much as you want)
3 oz. Strawberry flavored gelatin (Jello)
8 oz. container of nondairy whipped topping (Cool Whip) or whip 8 oz. or one cup of heavy whipping cream sweetened with a little powdered or granulated sugar and vanilla
1 C. vanilla ice cream
3/4 C. boiling water (2 minutes in the microwave should do it)
Dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, add the ice cream. Then add the whipped topping and strawberries. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hrs. or overnight. Garnish with strawberries if desired. Makes approximately 6-8 servings.
