- There are some major differences between the animated classic and the live action remake. In the animated version, it is implied that the movie takes place over quite some time, but in the live action remake, all of the events take place in one day. Also, in the animated classic, it is implied that Gepetto learned of Pinocchio being on Pleasure Island by Honest John or the local villagers. In the live action, he finds out thanks to Sofia the Seagull since Pinocchio doesn’t run into the two crooks a second time.

@@MustacheCashStash125The whole point is that those 'so-called' filmmakers, with all this "politically correct" stuff, have managed to pulverize Pinocchio's overall growth as a character, the 1940 movie and the original novel's focal point, by minimizing it. I bet Walt and Carlo Collodi must have been turning over in their graves since Disney planned to make this...I don't want to say anything else, otherwise I may sound too rude
They also changed the pleasure island HEAVILY
To be fair the donkey scene scared the SHIT out of me when I was a kid

So it's implied that Honest John and Gideon suffered some sort of comeuppance considering their already known reputation as petty crooks and conmen by the villagers (see/listen "Honest John" promotional song) and the fact that Pleasure Island is an infamously illegal place, as confirmed by a terrified Honest John in the Red Lobster Inn.

For me that the best new live action of 2022. That my favorite live action disney remake. I say 5 or 7 time. I love so must Pinocchio 😁😍❤

In the original there are dark figures (could be black demons) who close the doors to Pleasure Island, these figures are updated to be demons in the remake.
No, I’m pretty sure that the original mainly takes place over only one day(and the following morning).
He starts out in the morning, gets sold to Stromboli and performs all day, then escapes at night, then is brought to the Coachman around midnight and taken to Pleasure Island. He then swims back to the village and doesn’t find Geppetto, then goes looking for him and gets swallowed by Monstro. They then manage to escape him and Pinocchio dies in the process, being resurrected later that day.

Actually, if you listen carefully, you can hear Geppetto saying to Figaro "Not a bite for days", while they are in the belly of the whale. Probably Pinocchio had been stuck on Pleasure Island for a couple of months before he managed to escape (in the original novel it is confirmed that the donkey transformation takes place after five months).
Did you in Pinocchio, the animated version is a beloved classic, and the remake is absolute shit? 💩

Personally, I thought it was a stupid idea to have the live action version of Pinocchio that place in one day. I prefer how the original movie makes the implication that the movie took place in a matter of days, maybe even months before the movie ends.
Nope, the original takes place over the course of one day. And Pinocchio in the remake is a wooden boy longer because in the original he goes to school the day after he comes to life but in the remake it’s some time before he goes off to school.
@@EpicJoshua314 Then how do you explain the cobwebs and dust in Geppetto's shop? Cobwebs don't form in one night, they usually take a few weeks, if not months to form and last we saw Geppetto's shop before Pinocchio returned home it looked clean and well lit.

The only live action I hate is Mulan because my second and third favorite characters Mushu and Li Shang are not in it
The Lion King kept some of scenes and characters at least but they did Scar dirty and I almost don't wanna watch it because of it
Also the original was good and the remake wasn’t
