15 Things Pinocchio Changed From The Disney Classic
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 кві 2024
- Pinocchio is one of Disney’s most beloved animated films. Not to mention it’s one of the first to ever hit the big screen. So it’s only natural that Disney over 80 years later would want to remake it as a live action. After all it’s already done it for classics like Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo and Lion King.
And Disney pulled out all the stops for this one, including a star studded cast of Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Luke Evans, and Robert Downey Jr. How could it be considered a flop with those kind of actors. But-since the original was released back in the 1940s it’s only natural that chances would be made in the new version. The only question is just how many changes were there?
Are the characters all the same in appearance and personality? How does the animation compare? And will Disney revamp all the adult moments that would be deemed inappropriate to children in this generation? Well, the truth is a lot was changed between the two films, but it’s up to you to decide whether or not that’s a positive or negative fact.
After watching this video how do you think the two films compare? Does the live action version live up to the name? Let us know in the comment section below. And if you liked this video make sure you give it a thumbs up and hit that subscribe button. Thanks for watching TheThings Animated!

4:04 “In the new Pinocchio doesn’t have an apple in his hand”
Di-…..did you not see the apple that he is clearly holding in two scenes of the trailer?
Yea, is a very short shot. Good eye man.
do you guys remember when almost all of the disney movies started with a book being opened (like in Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty) why did they stop doing that i loved that
1937 to 1942 is considered the golden age of Disney movies so that's when those films came out. All of Walt's movies had that and bet it was his idea to start off with the book pages
I can only thank God no one who worked on the original movie is alive to see this happen.
“the actress that happens to be black added the much needed representation that disney needed”? yer kidding right?
In the animated movie, Gepetto neither knew about, nor saw/heard anything about Jiminy Cricket, neither did any other humans in the movie, but in the Live-Action movie, Gepetto met Jiminy Cricket around the end, who would have thought?
You really had to point out that Geppetto wears a different night cap?
Having read the book, the coachman in this version is actually closer to the original than the animated version. In the book he is described as a small, skinny guy, not the large chubby man that we have become used to. So Luke Evans is actually pretty accurate casting.
Yeah, dude!!!
Perhaps the translation you read worded it differently, but I distinctly remember the phrase "a little man, wider than he was tall" in his character description.
@@wesltall1 yeah i read the book when i was only 11 in the 90s though, so i can't remember the exact wording. But yes, wider than he was tall basically sounds like he should be a small, chubby guy. May be i got him mixed up with Magniafuco, who is basically Stromboli.
There's a book?
@@joebrat6809 👌
82 years. He's a Disney star for 82 years.
And now they're making him live-action just to make him more real then animation.
The Fox ?? C’mon guys do your research .. Worthington Foulfellow or more commonly known as Honest John with his sidekick Gideon😁👍🏼
They aren't named in the book. They're just "the fox and the cat". It was the Disney film that gave them names.
@@wesltall1 and that’s what this is a remake of .. the Disney version .. just finished watching it and they need to leave these remakes alone now 😔
Don't forget Monstro the Whale. He looks even larger than before, trading pleats for bristles on his underside. He also has tentacles!
Update from 10/9/22 : He's also referred to as a sea monster, like he was in the original novel.
Yeah no. That doesnt do it for me. when I saw it when the original re-came out that whale scared me. This new one wouldn't scare a toddler. It wasn't about what was added to him. I was his face and eyes that looked evil the new CG you don't get that.
@@DarkMoonGeneral the original Monstro is perfect already. I don't know why he even needed a major design revamp just to look scary.
@@LazyOldFusspot_3428 Right? cause to me the other one already look scary as hell. I think its cause when they had drw it they were able to give it those defined expressions.
Blue Fairy, I love you. “G.I. Jane 3”, can’t wait to see it!
I was trying to understand why of all the actual differences in the movie this video highlighted things that were kept virtually the same, then I realized the date it came out and that this is based exclusively on the trailer rather than the actual film.
Looks like a cricket and then shows a picture of a grasshopper
Yes he did have an apple, but it was later. Also, there where some puppets that looked like the ones in the cartoon.
Poor Walt, I hope he can't see any of this...
Why unlike the other remakes this is an actual great one lion king didn’t work due to them being animals than having personalities if anything this new one will be better as it’s not 1940 anymore if you anything I reckon this is what it should looked like but they didn’t have any of the technology they do know
@@Budbrothers420 Ummm, what??...Good luck with the head trauma...
I feel for you, struggling to read more than one sentence, but then again your crying for a dead person sure he would of thought it was magical, the technology would of blown his head off
@@Budbrothers420 You might want to check your spelling and grammar occasionally if you want people to understand you or bother to listen to anything you have to say...Because they might just write you off as a moron. 😊
The Fox is called "Honest" John Worthington Foulfellow. His Cat Colleague is called Gideon.
I just finished watching the Disney+ Pinocchio (2022). Here are my thoughts:
I didn’t like how the blue fairy was black as everyone knows what she really looks like in the original 1940 film.
However, I was absolutely mesmerized by her appearance; beautiful, enchanting, Goddess vibes, I liked the way she talked, her elegant movements, & what she said.
They nailed the look of Jiminy Cricket. I had a gut feeling the blue fairy would sing her version of When You Wish Upon a Star & I was right. I was so glad. Her flying out the window while singing “true” in a high-pitched melody made my eyes tear up a bit. So beautiful yet somewhat chilling. It was addressed perfectly.
They nailed every character...again, the blue fairy’s not black but other than her skin tone & no hair, PERFECT! I was hoping Jiminy & Pinocchio would sing Give a Little Whistle...
Luke Evans was perfect for the henchmen. I liked how he also played as the guy who gave Pinocchio & Lampwick the root beer. I wish they had a cool transformation scene of when Lampwick turned into a donkey...you know...make it more like a wolf transformation like the werewolf movies. Whether it’ll scare the young audience or not...I wish he screamed “MAMA!” like in the original instead of a small “mama, mama!” That would’ve been more disturbing & dark. Like he should’ve said “MAMA! MAAAAAAMAAAAAA!” & as he’s saying it in agony, you hear cracking sounds of his transformation & his human voice screaming it slowly turns into a raspy roar of a donkey’s.
I literally said “WOAH!” & my jaw actually dropped when I saw the mouth of the whale come out from under Geppetto’s boat. Pinocchio’s swimming skills of him paddling his feet super fast reminded me of Dash’s from The Incredible’s (2004).
I wish at the end when Pinocchio turned into a real boy, he looked at the camera & smiled.
Perfect cast for Lampwick. He had “that face” for him.
I mean if you look closely as they are walking away together he does slowly transform into a real boy
Well maybe the other women who auditioned for the role of the blue fairy didn’t sing as well as cynthia erivo even if they looked more like the original fairy…. I liked how Pinocchio in the 1940’s was more naïve and was pressured more easily because when he turned into a donkey he learned that all actions have consequences … in the new film it was like he turned into a donkey just for BEING at pleasure island….. and as far as the ending I wanted to see the blue fairy come back and reward him for being brave kind and untrue and then turned him in to a real boy kinda like that did in once upon a time… I didn’t like how we didn’t really get to see the whole transformation.. just his legs if you were looking closely enough
What she really looks like? In the original story, she was the Fairy with Turquoise Hair, and she was a shapeshifter, but always retained her blue hair. Given that Disney already changed both her appearance and role in their animated version of Pinocchio, does it actually matter that they cast a black actress to play a magical fairy?
@@FoxbrushDraws thank you
There is no reason to as the narrator said, have a black fairy to give some "well needed representation". There have been umpteen endless black Americans in movies and TV. This not the 1930s.
IDK, its was just kinda weird and the baldness just made it more strange. Couldn't she wear a blue wig just for the role? We all know the fairy in the story wasn't black or bald.
The fact is when roles are cast, they usually try to find people who look like the characters as much as possible. It seemed like pandering to America's obsession with race. I mean they could have had a Japanese sumo wrestler play Gepetto and been like "Its high time that Japanese wrestlers had their fair representation in Pinnochio!" Oh well lol.
For a beloved movie that is still loved by many kids and adults today, I feel will have a lot of the elements will be stripped away for the sake of controversy. In effort to try and please the wrong audience who is easily offended, I can almost guarantee that there are scenes that will be left out of the original such as:
1. Geppetto smoking a pipe
2. The clock that shows drinking/drunkenness
3. The clock that shows a parent spanking a child
4. Pinnochio smoking and drinking (let’s be real, all smoking and drinking will be removed)
5. The word “Jack Ass” being said
6. Geppettos pocket watch showing two guys doing cheers with mugs of beer.
7. Cleo blowing out smoke rings (after Pinocchio played with fire)
8. The certain dancing of the marionette puppets
9. Tobacco Row, and the Rough House in Pleasure Island
10. Lampwick will probably have a happy ending
11. There will probably be a LGBT representation somewhere.
These are but a few changes I would come to expect. I agree having more race representation in shows today for sure to help eliminate racism and promote acceptance that we are all the same people. I always thought Pinnochio had a strong contrast between good and bad, the dangers of the real world, what is acceptable and what is not etc. and I hope Disney doesn’t cover or candy coat the bad because this would really interfere with the true morals of the story.
1 .. removed 2 .. Pretty sure that was there 3.. definitely there 4..smoking no drinking .. he holds a tankard, but rarely drinks anything 5.. its there 6.. pretty sure thats gone 7 ..gone 8.. Can-Can dancers are there as are the Cossack dancers .. the Dutch girls are gone 9 .. tobaccco gone .. there’s sort of a rough house but we don’t “go in” 10 .. true to original ..11 .. nope .. I wish I’d not watched it .. some parts were great .. voice of Jiminy was fantastic, as was Pinocchio. Cynthia Erivo, yes she can sing, but her voice doesn’t capture the warmth and kindness of the original Blue Fairy .. it has a constant ‘matter of fact’ tone to it .. and those wings .. I just wished they’d stop moving so much. Monstro was a whale NOT a sea monster. The ending left me feeling empty .. they need to stop with these remakes .. please stop !
They changed a few things such a as the kids on pleaser island drinking root beer instead of real beer.
Kids smashing clocks and Pincho objecting, Maestro being more of large sea monster vs a whale.
The best part was the blue fairy and she was only used in the first ten minutes of the movie, than never again.
Pinocchio doesn't turn into a real boy, he stays a puppet, he a real boy in his heart.
When I saw the original when I was.. Oh gee I had to be like 8 years old. I almost left the theater because one scene scared the crap out of me. Its when they were getting chased by Monstro the whale that thing looked so real and scary to me I asked my uncle if we could go. He asked if I was sure and I had to think Im like ok Im good. This movie wouldn't scare a toddler. There were elements of the old one that just cant be replaced and them replacing a lot of them like the smoking and such yes of the time should have been what was still included. But even so I feel they shouldn't have remade it period.
@@Simon-fc8yi In the original story, it wasn't a whale anyway, it was called The Terrible Dogfish, and it was a dogfish-like sea monster.
The movie would be so boring without these, I loved the old version
I can’t for the remake to come out
Disney worked so hard to make every character, every scene, down to the cuckoo clocks, even the lighting, look exactly like the animated version we all know and love. Why would they not do the same for a major character, The Blue Fairy? The version they came up with is ugly and extremely scary. I was taken aback when I saw the trailer. Disney got that extremely wrong, in my opinion.
What’s that suppose to mean
@@futuristiccomments2601 it's supposed to mean the Blue Fairy shouldn't be bald and have those big ass nails, for example
The blue fairy is ugly? How?
@@davidbarastegui2519 i thought she said ugly because she was black but that makes sense
Beauty comes in many forms. I think she's pretty. Maybe you should ask yourself why you find her so scary.
I can’t wait to see this! I had the live version on VHS! You could move the cover to Make Pinocchio into a real boy and back into a puppet!
Pinocchio wasn't a real boy until the end. Gepetto finds that Pinocchio is alive, but he's still a puppet.
I was hoping this would include more scenes from the book
I think this was actually better, not like better than, but better in the way of keeping the interest in what happens alive, and when the guy on pleasure island gets transformed into a donkey, i actually got scared, and felt uncomfortable in a way, cause it felt so real
I just went back and watched it it was after that scene that you said Pinocchio didn't have a apple his father gave it to him saying this is for your teacher
I understand using CGI for animals these days is more ethical and it’s easier than spending ages trying to get them to do a specific thing… but couldn’t they have at least gotten a real kitten for a couple of the closeup shots where it’s literally just sitting there?
That cat looked sooo bad.
You called Jiminy, “Gepetto” at 0:40
Whys the fairy black if they’re gonna remake a film at least keep the original features the same
Ah but the woke can't do that!

@@JameyLeanneCooper The woke can't do that. They can't keep the original features the same. They're on a mission!
@@rodneymarsden3003 don't remake the film then

1940’s Blue Fairy: Beautiful Blonde
2022’s Blue Fairy: Ru Paul
😂
Chef Saltbaker from Cuphead now looks more like the original coachman than the live action one.
Much needed? That fairy is HIDEOUS!!!!!! The original Blue Fairy was so beautiful, had hair, and played a much bigger part in the movie..
I hope donkey I’m not gonna say the word but I can’t for them to be in the movie
Ok so I really wanted to hate this but I didn't. However I did turn it off when Pinocchio was introduced to the dancing Marinette because to me that was the most different thing I saw on the movie I was wondering why they would give him a love intrest. He is supposed to be a young "boy" but I got curious later and finished the movie and surprisingly not bad... not a 10... I'd give this movie a solid 8. I thought I would hate the blue fairy looking way different but it didn't bother me. She was actually more majestic. I love the clocks all had different disney movies in them excpwcially the toy story one with woody since Tom hanks voices woody. Tom hanks did the best job! He really held his part and even tweeked his accent for the part. They definitely nailed the part for gepeto. I loved PinocchioS look and voice. However his voice reminded me of Ted's. In the beginning when Ted was just a bear and not a stoner lol. Graphics were amazing through the movie. The fox and cat were awesome. However I wish I would of saw more of them some how. And I wish Pinocchio would of met some kids on the way to school. I really loves the actors that played lambeick and the coachman. They nailed thier parts and I thought the coachman was actually sexy lol. The donkey transformation was well done again amazing graphics. The whale part was good but st the end I was disappointed we didn't get to see him turn into a real boy. I honestly would of like to see the blue fairy come back and tell him she was proud of him and turn him. And then when he turned real he can go back to the dancing puppeteer and get eith her in the end... would of been a happier end but they wanted you to think... and it had me thinking the only person that mattered to tell Pinocchio he was proud of him was geptto because the story of all about a father that truly loves his son no matter what and always wished for one ❤️ so all in all good movie. A little different but worth the watch. Props to Tom hanks. Kegan Michael key who played the fox. And the coachman . All did outstanding.
Cleo looks so weird in remake
Don't forget the freak in the blue dress
Plus, there are girls who joined the boys on Pleasure Island.
DEL TORO'S Pinocchio goes way hard🔥🔥
After all the crappy spin-offs we recently got I think Disney saw the opportunity to shine once more by making a full fledged remaster of their own beloved classic. Needless to say they did not disappoint in the slightest!
I have to disagree.. There was no reason to remake this.. they've done it twice * maybe not disney themselves but they have- The original movie was able to push the envelope. Not this one they just blast the CGI make it look cheap. And don't get me wrong I love Tom Hanks but even though he's in this Im not going to waste my money to see it. I will stick to the 1940 version.
I wish this was a faithful remaster of the original. Instead they made some big changes to the plot that totally change the message and moral of the story, while adding extra characters that contribute nothing important. They also added new forgettable songs that just drag out the runtime while also cutting songs from the original.
Disney thought they could just remake every animated film however they felt like it, and everyone would just mindlessly love them all, but that's turning out to not be the case.
I’m gonna be honest I thought the blue fairy was a guy at first🫤
You forgot to mention the naughty girls in Pleasure Island!
My only problem with the movie was Fabiana, I feel like she was kind of thrown in and wasn’t given much of a part in the movie or Pinocchios story. I would have liked it better if her role was a more significant in helping Pinocchio become a real boy rather than a forgetful subplot like in the movie.
Probably could have cut this video in half if you skipped all the advancements in technology parts
you uploaded this before the live acition even came out
Blondes don’t deserve hate!
Me and my mom are watching
If Disney wants to make more money, just release back to the show again.
4:03 I think he does grab an apple.
The original jiminy cricket and Cleo weren't supposed to look like a real cricket and goldfish . They're cartoons !!!! It's a cartoon!!!
It’s 2022 pal it’s called reimagined and pretty sure they only did it hand drawn because it’s all they had at the time by that logic most if not all the Disney films are cartoons then 🤣 the lion king was awful because they tryed to make them cute and real so the personalities were lost in the process. I’m not really a Disney fan but even I can tell it is the superior edition
@@Budbrothers420 These remakes are not the superior edition, they are worse in every possible way.
@@elasiercanal well I think the original are outdated never liked Disney films because of the whole hand drawn situation I enjoy Pixar more so this is the only Disney film I actually like 😂 and I do like this version more
@@Budbrothers420 It's the other way around to me, I like pixar but I definitely prefer the artistic aspect and feel of hand drawn animation, like a painting coming to life. It's a matter of taste. Hand drawn animation is very time consuming and expensive, tha'ts why apart from Cuphead and some exceptiona it's hard to find it nowadays.
@@elasiercanal yeah I understand that but most shows I watch are animated so it’s a bit boring for me I read that Disney are planing on going back to hand drawn so if your kind of thing not gonna be too bad
I love how the fox looks like he is from a fanstasy adventure movie. If a big monster was in the original story book, why wasn't it was included as a major character in the remake? It would had made it a little more interesting.
Black isn’t a color it’s a shade.
No, Figaro is not a real cat. He is completely CGI.
blue fairy looks like the war machine from marvel
They put gaston in pinocchio as the coahman lol
Y'all need to update the video because there's SO MANY different things
I'm not going to bother getting into how weak most of these comparisons are. However I can't ignore the first day of school apple. At 4:02 when it says "in the new version he doesn't have an apple in his hand" on the right it is showing him walking away HOLDING AN APPLE. Come on, that isn't even trying, get it together.
I agree the apple is not present in exactly the same moments as he is talking to Gepetto on the doorstep, but it is definitely still part of the scene and he leaves while holding it.
It also mentions how he opens the door by hanging on the handle in the remake, while showing the side-by-side with the original with Pinocchio walking out the open door, and he is also not holding the apple then in either version.
I actually enjoyed this movie. It's the Italian scenery, since I've actually been to Italy.
It was released in 1937 not 1940
Snow White was released in 1937, Pinocchio was released in 1940.
not true pinocchio did had a apple & the new one the fox ate it you need to back in watch it the father give it to him so he can give it to the teacher
Thanks for the video, but there's something I don't really like about it. First, how can you say that Pinocchio's nose doesn't have plants growing it when you haven't seen the whole movie scene? Maybe it will happen after all. The same goes for the dancing dolls - maybe there will be more in the movie) Now what I mean is it might be not a very good idea to compare the two movies when you haven't seen the latter (that doesn't include the design, though).
As a native Italian Born in the birthplace of Pinocchio, really i wonder why terms of the Book Like "il paese dei balocchi" was translated as "the pleasure Island": It means Simply "Toys'town". And what about the Pescecane? Meaning litterally dog-fish (Shark), you translated as Monstro? What?🤔🤔🤔🤔
You never can beat the original clasic
Imagine if Michael Bay took the helm on Pinocchio especially the Character Design…..
You guys are amazing☺💖
There is a lot of pretty Cinderella escue ladies in Hollywood but I don't know why they cast a black bold lady to play that role 🤦♂️
cuz they wanna be diverse
They wuz fairies and sheeiit.
Maybe the women who audition for the role of the blue fairy couldn’t sing as well as the actress they chose… why would they pick someone for a role just for the color of their skin/hair
The cat is Figaro and the fish is Cleo
1940 is a Timeless masterpiece
2022 is full of horseshit
The whale is different too
Ooof, they look weird in live action
It’s called an ascot, not a scarf. And he did have it in the live action film
They should made jimmeny cricket look like an actual cricket
He is given an apple in this one to give to his teacher. I personally think the coachman from the animated version was much more sinister.
Hopefully they included "I've got no strings" in the soundtrack
They do
Yeah, they do, I'm watching it right now.
to be honest i never knew or read a book about it.
but seems to me it's a good story..
Yes!
Its not that great..
This is a rundown to get people mad and petitioning. #notmypinocchio.
To TheThings Animated You forgot to mention that the Native American chief stereotype statues on Tobacco Row on Pleasure Island along with the cigars and beer has been removed from the Pinocchio 1940 in the Pinocchio 2022 remake. Can you extend your youtube video to include a segment of Removal of Tobacco Row?
If you want good representation then just hire good actors/actresses. If you do, their performance alone will prove that they were perfect for the part.
However, it all goes out the window the moment you say that they were only hired because you needed “representation”. Now all you’re saying is that you simply hit a blue check mark.
I bet the actress playing LA Blue Fairy is a great actress, but to say that it’s much needed diversity is really a disservice to her as well as the character she’s playing. IMO
Mind you I have many favorite actors/actresses of every ethnicity, shape, size… But I like them for being themselves.
I prefer the Pinocchio films that were NOT done by Disney.
i love both movies i am a Disney lover
I have no no problem with actors of different races. I dislike forced representation though especially if it changes whole character design. I loved princess and the frog and into the spiderverse. If ya really want proper representation they should of casted Italian actors to fit the locale or added new interesting characters instead of recasting established classical characters. Still glad many characters still seem close to the original. lol only exception to recasting for me is Nick Fury lol grown accustomed to Samuel Jackson in the role.
I hate how he says “adding some much needed representation…”
Disney is already pretty diverse, Idk why he found it necessary to say it’s “much needed”. All bs.
@@e5u4r5o bro I have one question why does the fairy look like a man
You do realize that there are black people all around the world, including in Italy, right? Plus, the fairy is, by definition, a mythical creature. Myths have no specific race, since they don't actually exist. That's why in this case, the race-bending isn't that big of a deal.
The fairy is a fairy, not a fricking Vikings or Greek God. Why must she be white?
@@mansolo3183 bro read the first sentence “I NO PROBLEM with actors of different race”
I saw the movie, it looked all right, but I was very disappointed.
I really went in with an open mind but I just couldn’t :/
“Much needed representation” … oh gosh🙄.
I hope they play What Am I Made Of from the live version.
What No mention of how they turned Monstro into sharktopus?!
What about Monstro?
When i try to watch the 2022 Disney Pinnochio
I think the writing of the story is much heading to the message of anti-ableism rather than focusing about a strong moral compass to distinguish between right and wrong which is the center plot of Pinnochio is telling about
Even the ending sounded doesn't giving concrete conclusion
I basically wasting my time to watch an expensive fancy special effects minus well-written plots
I think The Cigar and Beer Drinking Scene from the Original Animation is Ditch Up Totally for the Sake Avoiding to Promoting Underage Smoking and Drinking Controversy among the Parents
I thought the movie was good but you forgot to mention some stuff like the blue fairy singing when you wish upon a star, the two new characters sophia and the ballerina and the girl who controls her, they mention geppetos real son the one pinocchio is made after, geppeto does not finish his wish, pinocchio goes to school and gets kicked out, pinocchio is not drunk and smoking at pleaser island like the original and etc it was a good movie though
Jtts version heck the horror version is way better among others
I actually love seeing people fuming over nothing this will be the superior edition just too many bias people I grew up with the old one too but it’s outdated has been since the 90’s 🤣
I disagree. Im not fuming rather Im disappointed. They took a classic that did need to be remade... ( again. ) There were so many elements of the original they cut out because kids today cant handle anything. The cg in this is horrible, they changed all the music even their version of " I have no strings' is awful. Id rather stick with the ' outdated' movie then something that wasted all of its budget on bad CGI. I mean come on the used CG for a FISH and a cat.. those things really exist in the world, they could have oh I don't know.. used real ones.
@@DarkMoonGeneral tbh I actually enjoy more than the original it’s comes off as less of a fairly tail and more real but I must admit that Tom hanks should of been cgi too or even the world, it’s seems like it didn’t take long to make so it’s more of a look what we can do now situation but I got into it and really enjoyed it being a live action bot all of them should be made that way but for a film that is 80 years old sadly most people can’t watch it anymore. I think you just have to watch it as a bit of fun and not not think about the other one as much. Seems like everyone was trying to compare it but if it was it’s own stand alone think the reviews would of been better
It was made in 1940, why did it only become "outdated" in the 1990's? Anyway, we are way beyond being so basic as to compare the hand-drawn animation from 80 years ago to modern film and CGI. Both have their artistic merit, but that isn't the problem here. The problem is that the original animated film had a better story with clear messages and character arcs that were watered down or messed up completely in the remake. The motivations and choices by characters in the remake are mostly meaningless and have no impact, the framework plot of the original is just happening around them, carrying them to the weird cop-out ending that offers no pay off or story closure. So superior edition? I think not. (You may also want to try using commas, they're great 👍)
@@35Spidey still enjoyed it more than the original and I was very much brought up with the 90’s in 2000’s. This film felt out dated because everything else in that time was starting to become 3D or was stop motion. I’ve watched too many hand drawn shows so to me it’s a less superior way of making a film. But at the end of the day it’s pretty sad seeing grown ass adults crying about a film made for children not you. So the fact you can’t just accept it for what it is and move on is beyond me. Also it’s not like you had to pay to see it in cinemas you got it free
@@Budbrothers420 As I said, all types of animation and visual effects have merit for different reasons and everyone is free to enjoy certain styles over others.
However, any visual film medium only exists for the purpose of telling a story, and that is the important part! And many of the grown ass adults you keep referring to have kids (I have three), so although children's movies are not "made for us" as the target viewing audience, you can be damned sure we are interested in what stories and messages and morals the media they watch is teaching them.
I feel that the original had a more straightforward message showing the lessons Pinocchio learned about life and being a good person. The remake convoluted everything and Pinocchio didn't have a clear character arc.
I don't just accept sub-par media for what it is, I analyze it and critique it, it's called critical thinking. I don't care if I had to pay extra for it in a theatre or if it came "free" on a streaming platform that I also pay for.
I thought it was pretty good
Amazing video 👌
I never watched the old ponocio
What about monstro the whale 🐋
People ask me why I chose a red feather for my nome de plume. The original Pinocchio and Peter Pan BOTH had red feathers in their hat. So...
oh yeah and the beautiful fairy was outsourced to what i can only imagine was a bald Ugandan transvestite, you left that part out
the ugli cat who com with the fox is my favorit characters
The blue fairy? For a tale set in Italy why do it? Oh yes! Diversity! We can no longer have a tale set in Italy with period Italian characters. Oh! No! The woke have spoken!
What's diversity and why not?
@@kittycatmeowmeow963 Diversity according to woke and the politically correct isn't about going out and finding new stories and new scripts and generally looking for new characters and experiences for the reader or viewer. Oh NO! That would be going too far and the audience might actually like that kind of diversity. No! Instead take a well known tale and muck it up for diversity's sake. Hence woke diversity is actually a fraud.
do a better investigation, half of the things are wrong
