The Prince never became the King..... For me, He is the most beautiful and exciting player after big 3 🥲 We gonna miss u Domi :(
Cuz the real one is Novak. Thiem doesn't even have a single RG, and Novak has 3 of them
@@user-ex1iq3hq2z thiem is unlucky because he played Nadal in 2017,18 and 2019 and Djokovic didn't have to play Nadal in 2016 ,2023 except 2021
Novak😂. Borg is miles clear of him on clay@@user-ex1iq3hq2z
@@user-ex1iq3hq2zpeople somehow always manage to mention Djokovic, it’s hilarious. No one here gives a shit about him for once
@@user-ex1iq3hq2zdo you mean real king or real prince?
Damn 30 mins Highlight just Peak Thiem was simply Beast....
Not only specialist on clay. This guy is a beast on hardcourt. His results on hardcourt is even more remarkable than that on clay. His match against Djokovic in ATP Finals 2019 and 2020 are two of the best three setters in my opinion.
He’s more successful on hard but he was clearly better on clay. If not for Rafa, Thiem would’ve clearly been king of clay between 2017-2020 even Novak had a hard time beating him then
Thiem at his best could be anyone and live with the superpowers at the top
like in AO 2020 final 🤣
@@user-ex1iq3hq2z He beat Novak 3 out of 4 in their last 4 meeting , including back-to-back ATP final 🙁
@@jjffewoff-es4pv He beat Novak in 5 out of their last 7 matches (including two grand slam matches), and even the two he lost were very close. Nobody was as good against Novak at that time as Dominic was (his exceptionally massive backhand was one of the main reasons). He was really the closest thing to the big 3 after Murray.
Facts 🎯
@@user-ex1iq3hq2z typical djokovic fan, goofy and stupid....
Peak Thiem one-handed backhand down the line will always be my favourite shot in Tennis, the power the angle are just perfect 🥵
In my opinion, it was by far the most phenomenal down the line backhand of all time. Both in quality and quantity. He could literally hit more stuning down the line backhand winners in a single match than some players hit in their career. He was like a machine, hitting the shot over and over, in an incredible fashion. I wish people studied the shot, it was really unique and innovative and can be still effective today.
Prime Thiem was Goats Slayer, don"t think anyone can have better H2H records against them , He has the weapon beat anyone on different surface .
Del Potro always gave the big 3 a run for their money though, even after his wrist injury
Not on grass though
He never learnt how to play on grass but he did defeat Federer in 2016 on grass
Honestly crazy he doesn't have a masters on clay
That 2019 Madrid loss :/
its a shame we didnt get to see prime thiem vs alcaraz and sinner 🥲goodbye thiem you will be missed
Prime Thiem will destroy Alcaraz and Sinner , he is different level
@@happyforever444-dp3nx aint no way you actually think that but i do think prime thiem is capable of beating them
@@happyforever444-dp3nxtennis is a game of matchups. He would play well against the likes of alcaraz but wouldn’t match up well against sinner
@@woogy1223Prime Thiem beat in-form Nadal on clay, I think he would've destroyed Alcaraz and Sinner. Alcaraz almost lost against Zverev on clay, and Sinner lost to Medvedev, who I believe is a very difficult player to play against, so Thiem would win in straight sets against them.
@GoneBoi99 oh I wasn't talking about just clay courts but on clay court it makes sense
Thiem at his best 2017-2020 was the only member of so called next gen, capable of beating big 3 at the biggest venues.
Arguably the biggest what if ( out of Next Gen). Wrist injury in 2021 destroyed his career.
He was definitely a great player in his days .....
Cant believe he doesnt have a french open to his name ....
He desreves one so much
Thiems injury has to be the most heartbreaking tennis story ever..esp due to how great he was. The Big 3 Slayer had soooo many slams left. At his best only Carlos would have been able to hang 💔 Wishing him nothing but the best in his new phase 💚
We live in a world where Thiem has never won a clay masters 1000 yet Medvedev has.
His Rivalry with Nadal on clay outside of French open is TOP TIER
We gonna miss u Domiiii
Hearthbreaking to see the highlights after 2021...
Wawrinka, at the time of their meeting in 2014, was the number one player in the ATP race (he’d won the Australian Open and Monte Carlo) heading into this tournament. Them came out of nowhere and announced himself in an imperious fashion.
Thiem was an excellent player and would have won at least 3 Grand Slams. I hope he finds his peace.
As much as I like Thiem (he's one of my all time favourites), there's no need to exaggerate. His "10 years of clay court mastery" was in fact just 6 years. He became totally irrelevant on clay and everywhere else after the career-ending wrist injury. Sure, he could still hit a highlight-worthy shot here and there, but that was it. Still, what a monumental, and criminally underrated force he was in his prime. The closest thing to the big 3 after Murray.
Thank you Domi you where beast player in your prime!
Always the second best Clay court player of all time... Farewell the Prince
With all due respect to Dominic Thiem, but this is complete nonsense. I don't know how some people dare to make such ridiculous statements! Dominic Thiem played three seasons at the highest level, but he did not succeed in winning Roland Garros even once. He did not achieve 1/6 of Djokovic's achievements on clay or win Roland Garros like Federer and Wawrinka. Forget the legends of the old generation like Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl and Guga.
@@MalekAhmed-kz3zu that's why he is called as prince for reaching many finals in big clay tournaments
@@Laland_1196 Without winning any big title on clay courts, what does this mean? He could have continued, but unfortunately his peak ended quickly at the end of 2020. The first comment is frankly very ridiculous
There are atleast 20 guys better than him on clay.
Lmao tell me u know nothing about tennis
Seeing these highlights really... well... highlights... Thiem's insane work rate per point. He was an unreal talent but man did he win a lot of points the hard way, with exceptionally difficult footwork execution to get around to hit his massive shots.
Indeed, Thiem is Andrey’s favorite player. He has so much respect for Thiem.
what a player,such a shame,if it wasn't for injuries...damn,all the best prince ❤
How Is beauty watch Thiem and Wawrinka playing on their backhands?
The best player for me until 2021
Was für eine Karriere Domi…👏🙏😻😢
Its a shame he didnt win 2019 Madrid. Golden Opportunity for that clay Masters.
Why does some of the 2015 footage look like it's from the 80's?
I like him very nice hanpoul perso he was amaizing player well said prince off clay I hope you will be happy 😊 in your life take care of your self. ❤❤❤❤
We'll miss Thiem when he retires !
I always thought Thiem would win a Roland Garros or two once Rafa started to slow down, but the with wrist and some motivational issues after the US Open it never happened. Wrist injuries stopped short two potentially ultra great careers in Thiem and Delpo.
Some Tennis TV scoreboards I've never seen before
Wish he won a 1000 on clay
Jawohl Rodionov 😊👍🇦🇹
Jawohl Thompson und Purcell 😊👍👍
Stark Neumayer 🇦🇹👍
😢
Where did tennistv get some of this footage? Absolutely horrendous quality
Odd career. Probably should have a few more big titles than he does but struggled to get over the line in some winnable finals. Undeniably great on clay but never managed more than an ATP 500 on the surface.
Too bad he never won at least one French Open !
He had a very similar problem like Wawrinka, he won only one masters title and It wasn't even on clay so I think he was a bit unlucky and he would probably win a few If he didn't get injured but still he lacked that clutch final moments kind off
I feel so bad for this guy. Had Nadal been not there, he would have been multi GS winner.
Schade Zverev bitter 😢🇩🇪 Glückwunsch Fritz 🥎
Prince of clay is a big name for someone with 0 Roland Garros and 0 M1000 on clay🤔
Jawohl Krawietz und Pütz 😊👍🇩🇪🇩🇪
I used to think Thiem is the next Federer 😢
Why not showing season 2020
2018 wimbledon djokovic beat nadal in an epic semi final
2022 wimbledon djokovic beat kyrgios. Kyrgios is very good when he is motivated anyone who knows him will understand kyrgios is like safin. Also casper ruud made 2 consecutive french open final should have made final this year if not injured or ill, casper ruud also made monte carlo rome miami us open finals and reached final 2022 nito atp finals
prince of clay with one clay 500
The prince of clay, not too bad eh?
Prince of clay should have at least 5 french open dude never even won 1.....maybe a distant cousin...twice removed 😅
Without nadal he'd have 3 french ooen, thats why prince of clay and not king
So sorry. ROGER is the prince of Clay. Only second to Nadal during his reign
Anderson Thomas Rodriguez William Jackson George
Umag 2015 filmed on a potato.
Davis Shirley Walker Angela Lee Daniel
He can't be the prince of clay because he *NEVER* won a single big clay court title. Zverev has 4 masters on clay, Tsitsipas has 3 and Alcaraz 2. Even Fognini, Rublev and Medvedev who hate clay have at least one each. Thiem was good, but overrated. And before anyone says that he was in the final of the FO, remember that Zverev and Tsitsipas were too.
Prince with the biggest clay title being a 500? overrated af.
I wonder which player you are going to focus on next, now that thiem is retiring😂 seriously every video about thiem your sorry ass has to drop a comment. He cost you a bet, or steal your girlfriend dude?
Medvedev zverev thiem alcaraz sinner very strong era unlike 2004-2007. Djokovic beat tsitsipas 2023 AO final federer beats badghatis and not single top 10 player 2006 AO djokovix beat berrettini 2021 wimbledon who won several grass court titles only alcaraz sinner djokovic can beat in form berrettini on grass. Federer beats marl philliphousis in 2003 wimbledon final. Also jack draper beat berrettini cos berrettini coming back from injury
Prince that has never been able win even a masters on clay. He was a loser in big finals and also a lap dog for Nadal. The fact that he burnt out at the age of 28 does not also help his case. Way overrated player.
Great player but not prince of clay at all
lol prince of clay but 0 RG trophies & here is Novak with 3 RGs !!
There's always some glue eater who has to glaze their favorite player on post that has nothing to do with them.
terrible player ahaha
