If she looks like that isn't that just a webcam? Unless in other areas of the anime she has a normal persona but just imagines herself to look like this? I haven't heard of it but looks very cool and I'll have to check it out
She always looks like her vtuber model. I'm not sure what the explanation is or if it'll ever get explained. I just don't think about it too hard because it's a comedy anime and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Enjoy watching the anime!
It's definitely just an artistic interpretation to have her IRL self look the same as their VTuber self. It's also less confusing for us, the viewers (especially since there's a lot of 'vtubers' involved; can't really expect us to keep up with which vtuber has which IRL character). and it's kinda cool how it's like the in-universe way of keeping the immersion. This is made even clearer since in episode 1, any random background character is drawn in a very non-descript way.
