Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

Great to see the croc back in action. That fallen tree has a huge root base, it would really be worth test panning the dirt clinging to it as roots are a natural gold trap.

Interesting stuff about the sluice. I am yet to use my Fluid bed on a gold bearing river and have a gravel bar in mind where I will give it a good run. Cheers Chris.

That stuff looks like fun to work mate. Ever tried hooking a big black dilly to that fluid bed? reckon you might not have to fiddle the dirt yourself if its set to screaming banshee.
Can always get around the no machinery rule with "personal use".
I had the worst day panning EVER. After 4 hours of work, I go to reach for my half-full snuffer bottle only to realize it has WASHED DOWN THE RIVER! ARG!!!!!! I can only hope someone finds it and it makes their day....

Hey Chris I noticed when I had my fluid bed that if you run the sluice slower you can catch the finer gold better but you have to help the gravel's down the box great video bro thanks for sharing

Great vid Chris. Just purchased the mini 6 Gold Rat highbanker with 2000 gph pump and in the testing stages this weekend. Thrashing it with pipe clay and orange clay gravels which block cells but still catching gold. Can't wait to try it on river gravels. Hanging out to see your full review on the mini 6. Keep finding the shiny....
Its a good unit man, clay is no issue if you side mount your spray bar

Yep, Grizzly looked like he was a bit non-plussed today. I think you need a tennis ball gun so you can send him running to Fetch whilst you're sluicing. Do you ever grind up the gravels to see what more could be brought out? That would be an interesting Test. I saw them doing this when working by hand in Papua New Guinea I think it was.
I definetly need one of them! I havent done it but i do have a heap of cons that ive been saving for just that !

No, because its constantly sinking the heavies to the bottom and gold it the densist thing in the box itll always push out lighter material. The only way it would happen would be if the box filled with gold.

Question, I'm new to this. Dad and I started this shortly before be passed. I'm panning in material that looks just like the creek in this video, found a few specs but I have no sluice. Also I'm finding A LOT of silver specs & rocks with silver specs all over them. Quite a lot of clear gem looking rocks. Is this a good or bad sign? Does the silver have any value(cuz there's alot) Would a sluice help separate all the small rocks better than panning it all? Any suggestions would help, I'm overwhelmed with small yet heavy rocks. The siver is likely a pyryte. Unless its heavy, then it could be mercury
My weeks long service leave has been approved for week before Easter NSW School Holidays 2020, so will be down around and about, sluicing and panning for 1 week and detecting for 1 week. Can't wait to see what Victoria has for the prospector. Would be great if I could meet and have a chat with Chris while down in Vic. is there much chance of that oh Master of all that is shiny?
