I noticed an oil leak on the valve cover. These engines are sensitive to vacuum leaks. Replacing the valve cover gasket and brass washer on the hold down bolt when adjusting the valves will give you better long term results.

Wonderful explanation 👏. Great minds think alike i also cut down a feeler guage for the Stihl machines. Thanks for pointing out the arrow for TDC i never knew about that.

Hi thank you, I know getting TDC can be confusing for some people, so I thought I’d explain it so it’s easy for people to understand. It’s an easy enough job and these do seem to require valve adjustments more than other machines. So I’m sure it will help some people. Thanks for watching🙂👍

Possibly if they are adjusted wrong, I would check adjustment first 🙂👍
