The boy the myth the legend. Some ask where he is now. All I know is over a decade later 3D design is my job, thanks for getting me started super3boy :)
Thank you for the first spark a decade ago. You helped me get into a great hobby when I was about 12 that I am still learning now. Glad to see your still around.
Man, this was the first CAD tutorial I ever watched probably 10 years ago. Since then, I have graduated with a BS in Engineering Design and am licensed in SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD. I've held three CAD design and engineering jobs in the last four years and I even have close to 7 patents. My products have been sold in The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards and many others, and my personal prototypes have been shown at CES 2018/2019 and KBIS 2019. Thank you Super3Boy.
Super3boy, your videos inspired me to try all 3D programs i could find. 15 years later I'm a mechanical engineer doing CAD at a space agency. Thank you my man.
I remember you! I was at least 15 years older than you when I started with Blender and you taught me the basics. Hopefully you're still doing 3D stuff now that you're older :)
kid i hope you're a teacher or a proff later in life... you have a gift for instruction. I learned more from watching your tutorials a couple times than I have from entire semesters at university.
Thanks, man. This was useful. I had no idea where to start with Blender and you got me going on the right track. I'll check out your other tutorials for sure.
Chill out, guys. This is a long and thorough tutorial and he does a good job covering the basics, which is what some people were looking for. It takes a lot of time to make an organized, comprehensible presentation on something that seems complicated "out of the box" and this was very well done. Many UA-cam tutorials, especially the ones by young people, can be hard to follow. I'm glad he's taken the time to help people with this.
Thanks. I have made the next tutorial in the series but the file size is too big. I will have to compresses it before uploading it. So don't forget to subscribe.
OMG! You rock! Thanks soooo much for making these tutorials! I've played around with Blender a bit, but I found it very confusing. This is such a help!
These tutorials are REALLY good, I'm using blender 2.49b but I'm still able to apply most of the stuff from your videos. To anybody else whose just starting to learn blender I recommend watching all his videos.
I like your style Super3boy. Many of the video tutorials are far more complicated and miss lots of the button presses. It's really clear the way you explain things. Thanks and keep up the good work.
For everyone who likes this video, I suggest you subscribe to see the next one. I tried to upload the next one, but it was too big(it covers tons of stuff). So right now I am going to try to cut it down in movie maker.
awesome tutorial so far and you sound very professional. you are young, to be doing this and you are doing a great job and helping me, and hundreds of other people figure out this program. :)
Very patient and detailed tute for noobs like me. Well done! This kind of thing is priceless. Hope I have enough patience as you to get to modeling somewhat proficiently.
i would have smashed my computer by now if it werent for these videos. with all the info on the web, its amazing how seeing someone do something is so much more helpful than hundreds of pages of tutorials. ty much
I used to teach laboratory Computer Science classes in college, actually talking slow and repeating ideas over and over again is really helpful for people learning something obfuscated like this.
Thank you so much! I am awful when it comes to computers, I just got my first one last sept! lol I really needed a way to figure out blender as i am trying my best to dabble with animation and video, this is the clearest, most concise tutorial i've seen. 5* Thanks again man!
@Euugor For the first few tutorials I wrote up a script. Most of the tutorials are on the spot. Now I am getting back into mixing a script, and a bit of free talking.
Wow you are a smart kid! Thank you so much your my best friend now, I have been searching for a tutorial that actually made sense for days! Very informative! I know how to do what I want to do now! Yay!
Who said that the tutorials were even intended for adults? It's already evident that the software is accessible to all ages. To speak as though speaking to peers is quite acceptable when constructing a tutorial. Great job super3boy!
Great tutorial man. I've been reading a book and have only gotten through the first chapter. Your tut got me up and running in 7:45...well done. Question, any idea how to get blender shortcuts to work properly on a MacBook Pro?
good tute, i have a lot of experience in max and i have been finding the blender interface baffling >>>> so these basics in such a professional delivery is just what i need
Thanks, I just downloaded Blender. I had no idea what the hell I was doing until I saw your tutorial. By the way, you can also view the cube 3D by hitting the scroll but on the mouse.
That's the transform manipulator. It will be on whatever object is selected, so make sure you right click on the object you want to effect first. Do this in Object mode (Tab will toggle between Object and Edit modes). Or you can just take it off, as it won't really be needed until later. To do that hit CTRL+Space Bar and click Enable/Disable form the menu. Or just click the little hand on the 3D view port toolbar and make sure it's disabled.
