i'm hearing both Freddie & Roger's voices in the backup vocals. But that very highest register sounds more Roger-like! Altho Freddie can hit those same notes. Beautiful voices all three of them.
I remember seeing a tour where they lowered a smaller "secondary" stage from above & performed a 3 or 4 song acoustic set (including "39"). Brian on acoustic & Roger standing with just a bass drum and tambourine. Amazing way to control the flow/energy of the show.
If you love Rog falsetto's you should defineatly check out the studio version of In The Lap Of The Gods (not revisited one) cos Rog falsetto's and the harmonies there are insane!!!
The song relates the tale of a group of space explorers who embark on what is, from their perspective, a year-long voyage. Upon their return, however, they realize that a hundred years have passed, because of the time dilation effect in Einstein's special theory of relativity, and the loved ones they left behind are now all dead or aged.
You Are Right On 💯💯🎯🎯 There was a Movie that came out around 5/8 Years ago? And the Theme of the Movie Followed This Songs Story, so much so I watched a couple things around a year ago, and a Good Amount of
I Can't remember the movie if it had Mathew Mconhay, or Sandra . I'm falling asleep sorry. You seem like You would know the movie I'm talking about. Thank You. 👍👍
Another Queen's Masterpiece 🔥 i love Freddie Mercury and Queen since i was a little girl, now i'm 40 and I'm here on UA-cam listening to Queen w my Cats 🐈🐾💖
Great song! I love Freddie & Roger doing the back up & chorus. There's a video that shows them having so much fun while Brian takes the lead. Freddie"s having a great time!
Freddie said in interviews that Rogers range was "a dog's whistle" voice. They are great together on this song, especially live. They were ALL having fun!
David the hairs on my arms stood up mate when roger hit the high notes.... normally only happens when I'm watching paranormal programs !! Brilliant thanks David.Try Todd rundgren Tiny Demons or healing album,or indeed hawkers 😊
If you are looking for other great music check out Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) All American Alien Boy. Queen once toured with Mott as their opening act . . . I think in 74' 🤩
I think all 4 of them wrote not only great songs but prescient ones-- some of the lyrics VERY prescient. Like they all had crystal balls. Uh... or... I was gonna change that last sentence because of the innuendo which was unintended but, nah. 😅
Steppenwolf as some great stuff,Snowblind Friend,Tenderness,Live Your Life . I would love to here you do some of theirs. Also The Eagles, Best of my Love , Hotel California. Thanks for considering different things!
If you think Roger had a high voice check out the vocals at the end of this song by a 70’s group called The Sweet. They were constantly compared to Queen back in those days. ua-cam.com/video/iurmCwBdCXc/v-deo.html
Thats whats so interesting and compelling about queen is their diversity. 39 is folk, fat bottom girls kind of country, rock of course, 50s rock a billy ... yiu know the rest.
I love your reactions. You said you’re going to react to different artists as well so can you react to Sam Smith “pray”,studio version. Also Dimash “S.O.S” from the show “the singer”. Considered to have the best voice ever.
So, I’ve never been here before and I’m guessing you’re “Italian?” (wink nudge) Can’t understand some words (which I LOVE), but I’ll get better. ❤ How’s THAT for an astrophysicist?!! Sadly, Im 4:59 minutes in and noticing the language you use. While I am aware of the new “fad” to talk to every single person like everyone’s in high school trying to get a ride out of the teachers/principal, adults shouldn’t speak like that. 68% of people say using foul language makes people see you as lower class and immature. For me, I believe it alienates many people who might like you or you them. Sad. So, good luck with your channel!
Bruan wasn't talking about himself. He was talking about the concert voice of Adam Lambert. The fact that Adam's last note on the last song at the end of a 6 week tour is just as strong as the first note at the start of a tour.
Yes Dr. Brian May's folk song is about space travel then returning back home. He is a fantastic song writer. Beautifully written.🎉
Roger is the high...he is outstanding....
Queen the only group who could have a folk song about space time travel and make it totally enjoyable
It is fitting Brian wrote a song about space travel since he's astro physicist
Love ‘39’! The harmonizing - sounds like angels singing 😇🙏🏻👏🏼
Freddie used to say that Roger has the Dog Whistle voice! This song definitely proves it!
The high notes are Roger and in this song John played the double bass.
It’s also the 39th track on their albums.
This is one of my favorite Brian songs. Folk groove and beautiful harmonies. Roger is doing all the high notes but Freddie is getting up there too.
The high notes are Roger and Freddie. The video shows both of them singing them
Yes they both sing in the live versions . It’s Roger in the studio version doing the really high notes.
i'm hearing both Freddie & Roger's voices in the backup vocals. But that very highest register sounds more Roger-like! Altho Freddie can hit those same notes. Beautiful voices all three of them.
Those high notes are Roger.
I love queen or Beatles or Paul McCartney too

Yes I've seen a video of that. Hope David gets round to reacting to that one if he hasn't already
If you love Rog falsetto's you should defineatly check out the studio version of In The Lap Of The Gods (not revisited one) cos Rog falsetto's and the harmonies there are insane!!!
Yes, Brian. He has a DOCTORATE degree in astrophysics and has participated in projects at NASA!

@@justincook6263 Interstellar was the movie.
Can't remember if you ever got round to reacting to the live version of this one, but Roger hitting the high notes live will give you goosebumps
ABSOLUTELY!!!
Another Queen's Masterpiece 🔥 i love Freddie Mercury and Queen since i was a little girl, now i'm 40 and I'm here on UA-cam listening to Queen w my Cats 🐈🐾💖
All three of them stand next to each other have fun with the audience and play the tambourine.
I saw this done live at the Hammersmith Odeon Concert in 1979 and Freddie sang the song.....Brian is playing the 12 string!
Great reaction. I love this song Brian is so clever with his songs
Great song! I love Freddie & Roger doing the back up & chorus. There's a video that shows them having so much fun while Brian takes the lead. Freddie"s having a great time!
Jack I enjoy spending time with you ! An your new love for Queen take care Brother an keep Rocking 👑💜👍☮️
The high notes are Roger and Freddie.
Pretty sure it was just Roger
Freddie said in interviews that Rogers range was "a dog's whistle" voice. They are great together on this song, especially live. They were ALL having fun!
Thanks! This song is in my Queen´s top 10
David the hairs on my arms stood up mate when roger hit the high notes.... normally only happens when I'm watching paranormal programs !! Brilliant thanks David.Try Todd rundgren Tiny Demons or healing album,or indeed hawkers 😊
A different vibe but very Queen . Thanks Dave for your input.
As you’ve been doing the later Queen stuff, try The Hitman from the Innuendo album.
If you are looking for other great music check out Ian Hunter (Mott The Hoople) All American Alien Boy. Queen once toured with Mott as their opening act . . . I think in 74' 🤩

You need to watch 39 live in concert it's really good Freddie sings that
Steppenwolf as some great stuff,Snowblind Friend,Tenderness,Live Your Life . I would love to here you do some of theirs. Also The Eagles, Best of my Love , Hotel California. Thanks for considering different things!
I know one of Roger's sons, Rufus, plays drums (very well); but I wonder if any of this boys got his dog whistle voice, too. Anybody know?
High notes = Roger 👍

Freddie sings this live. Check it out
This is going to be Epic
Esto va a ser épico papus
Freddie also sang it
Sounds very folky
Thats whats so interesting and compelling about queen is their diversity. 39 is folk, fat bottom girls kind of country, rock of course, 50s rock a billy ... yiu know the rest.
Those high notes are indeed Roger Taylor! He can go very high
React to the live version!
George Michael sang this at the memorial concert in 1992.
Before Interstellar ;)
I think you would like Canned Heat and Cream, 2 very good bands. Thanks for the great reaction.
it gives a country vibe
I love your reactions. You said you’re going to react to different artists as well so can you react to Sam Smith “pray”,studio version. Also Dimash “S.O.S” from the show “the singer”. Considered to have the best voice ever.
White man and Teo Torriate just have a listen
You don't get many folk songs about time dilation, do you? 😉
Could you react to Def Leppard - Hysteria thank you
Throw abit of Pearl Jam into the mix as well,, please
F'n A
are you ok 😎

I have a bone to pick with Brian....He said He had a better voice than Freddie......No, No, No! Brian you are tripping!
