    If you look closely the multi talented Dr Brian May has his guitar sat on his lap while playing the piano ready to play his guitar solo. Freddie was my idol growing up because of his talent, fun and cheeky persona but all these band members are true geniuses in their own right which made Queen legendary

    I've watched most of your Queen reactions now. The love you have for this band is for all to see.....welcome to the Queen family. They were and still are the greatest band to grace the earth!! Everything they do is beyond belief, may you enjoy their unique sound for many years to come. Thank you for responding to Queen ❤️ ❤️❤️

    Freddie's voice is like honey in this song, Roger amazing, John just soooo good and Brian's transition from the piano to the guitar just like Freddie's from singing to the piano is a level of co-working that anyone would be jealous about. But we shouldn't forget the lyrics. Brian's lyrics are again sooooooo phenomenal.

    This is the perfect example of Rogers beautiful musical drumming technique. So restrained during the first part of the song but builds up in the second part. I love it, just love it .

      I agree! Rogers drumming is not just the beat, it is musical. I’m surprised that is not commented on before. You can hear it well also on White Queen at the Odeon, Christmas Eve, 1975.

    This band works soo great together... hear how Roger with his drums gives Freddie the time to come to the piano at 06:53. Just for example ;)

    there is a story out about Peter, that Freddie just before he died he gave him the mic and pole, and Peter had it dipped in Gold and would never sell it.

    One of my favorites. Brian wrote this song about a friend breaking up. The song is kinda sad & of course Freddie sings his heart out. I love Brian’s transition from piano to guitar & Freddie heading back to the piano. Check out this song live in Milton Keynes 1982 it’s fantastic! I’ve seen Freddie in a full run on stage & still sings silky smooth & on pitch. My favorite lyric in this song “I love you until I die”.

      One of those perfect transitions/collaborations... like in White Queen - so much "Freddie Love" - but so little appreciation for the rest of the band... (full disclosure: in love with Brian since the age of 15 -sadly, that never worked out... but love is love, even unrequited, amirite?) -

    Brian is playing piano with his guitar in his lap ready to switch instruments for the 2nd chorus. Heard this the 1st time at Newcastle City Hall 3rd December 1979 as a new song ahead of its release in January 1980, it was absolutely amazing. You're bringing back so many happy memories

      @@martinkulkarni3569 lucky that you got tickets for both nights. I was outside listening for the second night. Was beside the external mobile generators. When Queen burst back on stage after the operatic part I thought they were going to explode. Totally drowned out the noise coming from the stage,

      @@allanriach I’ll always remember them coming out to get in the limo’s and Brian sat next to the window inside where I was standing. I tapped in the window, and the biggest bloke I have ever seen at the other side bellowed at the top of his voice “get away from the fucking car!” I nearly shit myself! Maybe the door wasn’t locked and it’s his arse in a sling if I had opened it!
      Always regretted not seeing them live in the flesh in the early days. Thee Golden’ period with the hair long and everything! Never quite had the bottle to paint my left hand fingernails black for school!

    The little interaction between Brian and Freddie at the start is them making sure they start together! Apparently, during a previous concert, they didn't start together because Brian has his back to Freddie. Freddie said "Well it didn't start off so f***king well that time!" 😂😂😂

    All the tings are said about this best band ever... Freddie's incredible unique voice, Brian, Roger, John, the instruments, the voices and and and bla bla bla... but Freddie has the best guy ever to giving and taking a mic out from nowhere. Or? lol

    • @betseyclark2832
      @betseyclark2832 3 роки тому +2

      Peter Hince (AKA Ratty) raised the job of mic handling to an art. He interacted with Freddie a lot from behind that piano. He used to wear a hat with hands on the top that would silently clap. Freddie chased him out once from behind the piano with the hands clapping lol.

    • @johngraham5996
      @johngraham5996 2 роки тому +1

      ratty would sometimes stand off stage when freddie was on the piano making rude gestures trying to make freddie laugh! if you watch their live aid set look at the end of bo rhap just before the radio ga ga intro, ratty is on his knees putting tape round freddie's mic stand to get the height for crazy little thing, he is about 15 seconds away from handing the mic to freddie but he makes it! 👑✊🇬🇧

    Queen is a business. Each of the 4 members gets 1/4 of the profits, even today. Anybody else involved is a paid employee of Queen. There are publishing rights on their earlier music so the writer of the song does get royalities on top of their Queen salary. Later on, the band decided to just list Queen as the writer of all of their songs which handled a huge portion of thier arguments that centered on egos.

It is extremely funny - and supposed to be honest - by Mack - Queen Record Producer - I know - I was there.
