What a special time in history. And almost all newer bands that try to invoke a similar feeling just cannot do it. Thank you, Slayer!
I'm glad this retro-thrash hype is over. Some of those bands failed so hard.
This a song the whole family can enjoy.
Necrophiliac!!!
Wooo this recording sounds awesome! If this is a rehearsal, they sure are tight!

The best thrash metal band in history. The Kings
My fave of all time is Over Kill as I like more of their total discography....but if we are talking about the first 4... or Ill stretch it and say 5.... yeah, Slayer from 1982 to 1995 was pretty untouchable. After Divine... i really dont like 1 single album to be honest.
I agree 🖤🤘 SLAYER RULES
Same here man and Divine is only average too.@@pleasuretokill
@@galwaytribesman9289 Divine has grown on me over the years. I bought that album and Seasons both when they first released. Seasons is the last of the "God tier" Slayer albums for sure. I remember throwing in the Divine CD after buying it and thinking it was trash... but I like it quite a bit more now.
The change that affected albums after Seasons the most for me? Toms vocal delivery. He went from actually melodically changing to fit the song..... to screaming everything in one boring, monotone scream for every album after Seasons. That and Kerry took over most of the songwriting on Divine and after. Hanneman was 1000x better songwriter than King was and wrote 90% of all music they played live their entire career.
@@pleasuretokill I don't like anything after south of heaven personally.
This is gold ! thank you for unearthing this treasure , A Metalhead´s Journey ! You have a new subscriber !
Top ten metal album for me .classic !
This is awesome man.
Never displeased with SLAYER!!!
DUDE , THANKYOU ! THIS BAND MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE ! I KNOW THEY LOOK BACK AND THINK WOW LOOK WHAT WE HAVE DONE!
Simplemente Mortal !!! 🤘🤘🤘😎
WE NEED METAL LIKE THIS
Check out Tortured Existence, Electrocutioner, Anti-Sapien, Scarlet King, Wretched Dominion, Morbid Cross

Favorite Slayer album...along with Reign!!👊🖤🤘
Show No Mercy is also the soundtrack for the 80s movie."River's Egde".
Excellent movie!!
I used to have that sound track I loves that shit. Theres that one song i really liked but Hallows eve ir something like that. Great stuff. My neighbor would come over and sing to my guitar playing and he was a bit older, he gave me so many cool cassettes back in the day.
Really? Never seen that movie. I'll check it out.
no it's not. that movie played one slayer song.captor of sin.not even on show no mercy. it's on live undead
@@kevinmitchell4018 Google the soundtrack dude and you find more than just Captor of Sin. Try "Die By the Sword" and "Tormentor" as well.
@@trevorbender2307 buddy.i really don't give a rats ass about Google anything.maybe thre is some soundtrack out thre wth Xtra bonus songs on it but the movie itself has only one slayer song in it
The best live metal instrumental
I Wish the album was like that! these versio s sound killer! 🤘😈🤘
The double bass drumming
Slaaaaayyyyeeeerrrrrr 🤘❤🤘
Impresionante! Gracias por compartir esta joya
HELL AWAITS has to take for best slayer album.
I can never choose from the first four. They are all so different and all of them are my faves when they are playing lol
All i know is that I can recite every lyric from every single one of the first 4 albums...
Killer classic 🤘
🤘🤘🤘
🤘
listen to that bass
Is this the unmixed album sessions? Interesting, thanks!
Not sure. It could just be them rehearsing somewhere. Doesn't sound like it is professionally recorded. Maybe it's just them recording it in their rehearsal spot.
@@stayleystarr exactly
dude where’d you find this??
I was wondering the same thing. Regardless though, nice find! Thanks!
I think it's from an old bootleg CD. What's amazing to me is the double bass work. Some of these drum parts didn't make it to the album. I'm guessing this is before the album. Can you imagine if they played like this on the album? This tight and fast?
@@AMetalheadsJourney What is name of that bootleg CD ?
@@bringmeheadofbill1226 he wont say
This is the "Nocturnal Spectre" bootleg, rehearsals from 1983, maybe released in December, so I'm guessing this is after the release of the album.

Kerry has hair and eyes...
The only Slayer song that has backing vocals
yeah, they're calling Ivo. Seems he's lost 😉
@@janswinnen7520The guys from Dark Angel were in on the backing vocals. They were saying “DEVO!”
