I like your videos about Brompton bike and you have a beautiful family !! Your videos help me a lot to change parts on my t line and super light Brompton bicycles !! Thank you
To tell if a door is push or pull look for the hinge(s), if they are facing you then it’s a pull door. At 7:40 you can see no hinges on the door to the bakery, so it’s a push. On your way out the hinges will be on the inside so a pull door
Nice videos BFT =]. Got me into modding my brompton, and i finished my brompton 3s mod project, its dope, and I ride it for exercise everyday :D. You should make more cycling to places video with your wife, love the good vibes.
I've done the 5 boro tour twice, but never on a Brompton (yet!) and it was always fun trying to pack up my tools, snacks and supplies in the smallest configuration possible to meet the requirements for bags and such! Informative video! Good luck on the ride! :D
Thanks for the video, that chain tool looks pretty slick! I'm signed up for the TD bike tour. Maybe I'll see you there. They do have pretty strict bag restrictions, but I found one that's 6 Liters. Hopefully it will fit everything I need for the weekend!😱
Good video. Always interesting to hear what others are using. My choices: - Tern Multitool 2.0: Cheaper than the Brompton Toolkit and more comprehensive (including a chain breaker) - KNIPEX Cobra Mini Pipe Wrench: Does everything your adjustable spanners does, but acts as pliers as well for removing thorns from tires and so on. - TOPEAK Power Lever - plastic to handle the chain multi links and can be used as tire levers if necessary - TyreGlider for removing and putting on tires
You can slide a piece of an old tube over your co2 cartridge instead of using the foam thing. It does a good job of protecting your hand from the cold cartridge and takes up less space.
Once again, great video; I was wondering if you could put up the website link to the tools where I could buy them; I really like the pump and the chain removal tool kit thanks
Thanks for a very informative video. Awsome. I have the tire removers, the wrench, and the allen keys. The Mini pump, with CO2 catridge (and cover), and the Lezyne Multi-Chain Plier, and the Case (with velcro) are very good suggestion. Best. V👍
Hi Shu, some great advice there, thx for sharing. I’d like to carry a spare chain link too. Can I ask what type of link would I need? Does the T Line use a standard 9/10 chain? Love the channel, many thanks.
Great informational video! I Ordered some of the tools you use. By the way do you know of any bicycle store in NYC that does Brompton modifications? I have a CHPT 3 V4 and I want to modify it from a 4 speed to a 6 speed because where I live in Puerto Rico is kind of hilly and I want those additional gears. I also thinking of changing the chainring to a 44 or 48. NYC is just a 4 hours flight whereas Singapore or Taiwan, where there a number of mod shops for folding bicycles are 16 hours away plus the airfare is way more expensive. Thank you for your videos and your advice. お疲れ様でした
I don't know any shop in New York that does aftermarket mods on Bromptons. It seems to be a hit or miss if you can find a mechanic that has time. That is the reason I do my own installations. In the end it is cheaper to do it yourself. The Brompton is easy to work on as long as you buy the right tools.
People practising tai chi, planes flying overhead, men “sorry black bears” 😂 rubbing themselves up against trees. You couldn’t win!! Who would have thought that attempting to video was so hard 🤣 good luck in the ride.
changed t-line rear tire tube using the toolkit tire levers and it nicked the the black coating on the rim. will definitely be switching to plastic solution :(
Is there a video about the stripping down of the bike? I noticed that your removed fenders, what else did you strip down? Does that made the bike better to ride?
The fenders do not work with my Cane Creek EEbrakes so I removed them. I like the look of the bike without fenders. I also cut my handlebars shorter. The stock T Line is a great bike stock. I only changed things because this is my dream bike. I don't recommend changing anything until you ride it stock for a few months. The bike comes with great parts as is. I am just crazy.
thanks for the sakura. oh, and also the bike stuff

great video - well thought out kit. I particularly enjoyed the interaction with your child.
Looking forward to meeting you at the bike tour. Your videos really helped me in sourcing quality upgrades for my T line.
One week away!

👩🏻Wow! I never thought about you could tell unless there was stickers saying Pull or push. 😅
Thank you for the tip!
These are always great pieces of information. Thank you for your effort.

Thanks. Really helpful tips. 😊
Great video Shu !
With such a severe restriction to riders' bags in the TD Race, what do they do about hydration?
There is plenty of water/gatorade at each stop so you should be able to stay hydrated without any problems. Also, all types of snacks are there too.

That is a good tip. I am currently using the Cycplus Electric pump.

Thank you. All items can be found on Amazon. I will add a list to the description when I get a chance.

Have made all the weight changes on your t line and if so, how much does it weigh? Thanks
I will make a video soon with the final results.

The links are great to have. The P/T Line uses a 10 speed chain. I am using the link from a new set.
I can see the park is taken by the infamous groups of big mom invasions.
lol this area has a strong asian community vibe.

It's not easy trying to avoid music copyright strikes in parks sometimes lol.
@@BromptonFamilyTime hahaha yes I felt sorry for you. I was thinking: goodness give BFT a break! 😂
The rear hub on the T Line is really loud when coasting.
It's awesome! People were staring at my bike the whole day of the TD Bike tour yesterday lol.

"What is that guy doing" You don't want to know is the short answer 😅

Curious. What’s that front light that you mount on the stem? Moon Nebula?
Knog Twin Pack. You can find it on Amazon.
@@BromptonFamilyTime Thank you ! This is really a helpful and insightful channel. Keep them coming ❤️
Ayi Guangchang Wu, in teams ! Only in Flushing ! (and every t1-t4 city in China haha)
For safety reasons (like fires, etc.) exterior doors are always supposed to open out - not in. Their bad. Not yours.
Ask your wife to carry the stuff. 😅 keep your bike streamlined.
We share camera gear too. That adds to the bulk lol.
