I’ve been using Brompton’s for over 20 years, mostly heading into London by train and I still get that feeling of being a child on my first bike with the Brompton zipping past the traffic. Congratulations to Brompton it’s awesome to see 1 million other people discovering the best folding bike.
I own one I took freedom of modifying out slightly and it is not finished It is great freedom to use it in London Not only it saves me time, but money too. Yes, paying instalments for next 23 months and actually being better off is great thing.
I considered a Brompton for years, but ended up with three Moultons, a Thorn, a Strida and a Tern instead. When I finally decided to buy a Brompton I wasn't allowed to have one delivered. I had to collect it personally. That was Brompton's rule. Living on a remote Scottish island this was not possible without a 10-12 hour ferry crossing to the UK Mainland, so I put it off again. Then came Covid-19 and the rules changed, suddenly online purchasing of Bromptons was OK. The scalpers did well out of it selling multiple new bikes each on eBay, but us mere mortals struggled to get one so I put a purchase off again. Recently I came across an advert for a 3-year old M6L that had never been out of the house. The price was irresistable, so it now sits in my living room waiting for accessories that will make it an even better bike, and more suited to my needs. Multi-mode travel finally, after 20 years of waiting!
Bought a SECOND HAND brompton like 4 years ago. I can tell you guys brompton is like the Iphone of bikes. Its quality is years ahead of anything else. Its the best mobility problem solver I have ever seen. Get one and you can be sure in 30 years even your children will still ride it.
My little black bike gave me my sense of adventure back. It stoked the ambition to see what's over the next hill and in the next valley. Thank you Mr Ritchie.
I’m relatively new to riding a Brompton. It’s been two years since I purchased the CHPT3 model followed by the P Line a year later. Love both bikes and ride them every chance I get. The folding into such compact size makes it a plus to travel with.
Easily one of the very best purchases of my life. Words can't do it justice. Every day I ride my Brompton is a gift. The millionth is so similar to mine that watching this story was like watching my own Brompton coming together. I am sure that the millionth Brompton will enjoy life in a museum. Andrew Ritchie ought to be knighted for his amazing contributions, are you listening your Majesty? ... maybe he's out riding a Brompton.
Congratulations Brompton i don't own one of your fabulous bikes yet but plan to get one soon but on my recommendation my friend now owns four of your Bikes and my son owns one. a beautiful piece of British engineering made to last thank you Brompton love from Limerick city Ireland
Love this! I have a 1996 Brompton which came to South Africa on a yacht (Raleigh tyre era), just about to give it a major service... this is inspiring!
😍I had the same color scheme (RAL 3020 main frame with black extremities) on my 2019 M6R. I had taken inspiration from the first batch as well. I made so many memories riding this beautiful machine!
That's was sublime. The current bike is a masterpiece of refinement. The Brompton book reveals just how difficult it is to create not just the bike, but the manufacturing process behind this icon
Muy Bien! Bravoooo La verdad que es bien merecido, una producción de 1a categoria. Por cierto, hace 1 dia he comprado mi M6R de 2º mano, y estoy muy contento con ella. Saludos desde Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
Awesome video. Well done Brompton. I love mine. Also, is it just me that can hear a baby crying in the background at 13:22/13:23 ish? Probably what added to the emotion of the video...
ask me a question, because this thread of the center bearing is backwards and not forwards, whereas forwards with the rotation of the pedals the tendency would be to tighten it more, whereas on the contrary there is no risk of loosening, because it is like this , in my opinion this is the only defect of this bike, but I could be wrong, clear that doubt
I have got myself A line, as none was going to give me what I wanted and I still would have better price anyway I am paying 24 months instalments and actually saving both time and money on it. One of best freedom you can buy
Nice!! Very nice! 🙄But during the built of all those many bikes, You - haven't found out to protect the frame from scratches during the folds, so that the Chinese still have a huge business from selling "protection" (We have an offer which you can't refuse!!), carbon and metal plates for a Brompton's frame, to avoid those scratches!!! Small pieces of "clear tape" is just a mention of: "Yes we know this may be a problem"!!! I am an owner of a 2019 "Superlight" which I try to make even lighter by adding carbon and titanium parts, so for now it is down to 9,35 kilo, and still with its mudguards (I am a Rainy Dane!). And still some ways to make it lighter 😄. Finn. Denmark
Wait a minute… Lycra in a Brompton video!? Isn’t Lucra NEAR a Brompton breaking a King’s law or something? Fascinating assembly. The sticker placement jig just emphasizes the attention to engineerring detail
The main frame should have had hand braised hinge brackets. Apart from a pump, a paint job and a sticker, there is nothing to differentiate it from any other Brompton.
Watch as he pridefully places the crap caster wheels 10:22. A friend bought an electric version for over $3000 and the things didn't rotate. One just came off while riding and disappeared on road... I'm not surprised he only placed one because the other one was meant to fall off! Great bike otherwise.
I don’t think this is the actual brompton pro working on it. No torque wrench used (till 18:10). Worst of all, as the left pedal was tightened, there was a jerk. Never jerk as u tighten . Over torque it and u r gonna crack it.
And why not eventually, sealed "Ceramic Bearings" in front, on the stem post? I intend to change mine into a new set of newly bought, sealed, Ceramic Bearings! I have already changed to a Ceramic, Titanium Crank. I have also changed the front axle, nuts and security parts into titanium, and the nuts and similar parts in the back (Its a 6 gear hub). Also most of the possible, brake parts and bolts on my "Superlight" (I still miss a few of those, as it seems to be - changing sizes at intervals, so I had a little difficulty in finding the sizes for my 2019 Brompton)! Finn. Denmark
The price you charge you could pick better components. Bottom bracket cheapest one you can lay your hands on, so bad it’s hardly worth making. And that head stock is prehistoric
Best fucking maintenance video Brompton has ever released.
Totally Agree!

I got a little emotional watching this. If you own one of these freedom machines you will know why :-)

I like my 1999 Brompton, but still love my two Stridas.
We love our Bromptons. Best bikes in our 2 lifetimes of riding. 2 seniors in NW USA.
❤ 🚴♂️ The Best Brompton Video ever made.
Satisfying to watch the frame and its parts coming together. Congratulations Brompton for this incredible milestone.

Ordered mine this morning, can’t wait.
Flame lacquer e-bike
Beautiful to watch this whole journey. I’ve just joined the family, my Brompton is enroute🙌
That bike belongs in a museum. I'm in tears! 😭
That’ll be sad, it belongs to the road
Congrats on the 1m. You chose a great dude to build it too👍🏿
I love how it‘s the origonal color scheme. I had an L5 1996 model and it looked exactly the same.

Such a joy to watch the video!
Congratulations to all the team!!! This is amazing!
Beautiful. Been admiring the Brompton, waiting for the C Line Explorer H bar black lacquer to come available in California. Patience, worth the wait.
Awesome build ❤ great to watch. It looks fab 👌
congratulations for this great achievement! Even with large numbers the quality must not change.

Felicitaciones Brompton ❤
Have two brompton bicycles- an M6R in racing green with silver components and a M4L P-line in grey. Beautiful convenient bicycles
My favorite !!! (The original style)
beautifully made video.
Brilliant!
And the guy doing the build❤🔥😊🥰😘
Video spettacolare, complimenti per il traguardo!
Interestingly, that Brompton produce so small amount of bikes every year. Love my 2007 Brompton M3L.
I feel like the millionth should have been a special T line.. The T line is SO amazing 😍
love love love....let's go brompton Jakarta Chap's

truly a classic!

백만번째 브롬톤!!! 🥂🎉❤
Amazing 👍👍
Nice👍

Do I deserve this beautiful bike I don't know? Because I'm not a good cyclist. But now I have a thought that it must be me too.

Damn! Still using nuts and bolts for the wheels.
Awesome
Poetry in motion.
Wow! How many does one person usually assemble in a day? Or is there a line where each person adds certain components ?
GCN did a documentary about it which is on UA-cam. It’s quite interesting 👍
Will make it mine soon 😍 - Dream Bike #Brompton
The ritchie red !!!
Félicitations Brompton
My dream build would just be to get a Rohloff hub installed on my brompton
Or just a schlumpf drive with the six-speed configuration on a super light. I've a 2021 H6R.
and still no telescopic handlebar stem.... why?
What no gloves when handling swarf?
My brompton has the same design like the millionst bromton except its red in the middle part 👍👍👍
Blooper reel please!!!
Parabéns!
How does anyone at Brompton stay focused with that hunk of Italian beef steak wandering around the factory in his short shorts?
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Haha iirc workers in brompton factory wears shorts
Now add patches to prevent cable rub.
joer que facil parece, luego para sacar la rueda trasera me paso dos horas
I ❤ sepeda ini
At 9:34 there oughta be a NSFW warning, got a little hot under the collar watching.

wow ,,, a million bikes and they dont give the guy any ppe ,,, running your hands down a reamer is seldom a great idea.
Does this one fold? Nobody knows.
Very nice but tyre logo not exactly centered equally on tyre valve.😬 Heh Congratulations Brompton!🎉
🎉 🎉🎉🎉
BIG ❤ & 🫡 from Brompton fan/owner of Singapore 🇸🇬

good
In real production they do much faster and missed some area. example no grease, over or under torque. Too much to list..
You added nothing to the proceedings.
@@YerDad632 I added my comments 😀😃😀
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌😍....I am lucky enough to own 4 bromptons 😍
It hurts to see someone working so slowly.

10 year lifetime x 1000 mile typical annual mileage x 1 million bikes = an awful lot of Carbon emissions saved. Bravo!
Daily meditation
Didn’t forget to weld the rear triangle this time around?
Is that flamingo pink? 😊
I thought all flamingoes were pink.
@@tortinwall But there are many different kind of Brompton pink.... hot pink, baby pink....
