Bart had such a hard time the First 3 yrs in NFL. He rarely had a decent line so the opposing teams beat him half to death. Had knee surgeries back in the 70's and they butchered his knees. But he became a top QB and a fan favorite. Still my favorite even today with Marino a close 2nd. He had possibly the strongest arm in NFL history and that's saying something. Back in high school and college, he showed he could throw the football over 100 yards. Think he topped out at 103. A friggin canon.
He put some heat on the ball, to where it'd be in the receiver's hands before the cornerback could get over there, on those comeback patterns, but he also had a nice touch on the ball. He could spot it in an endzone corner in such a way that only the receiver could touch it.
Saw him play win I was young on TV they had the nber one seed in the NFC that year Cowboys knocked them out narrowly that was one damn good team Bartkowski damn good quarterback
Really good they won 12 games in 1980 in those days that's real good back then you had to earn it I remember that was an extremely dangerous team you had to flat out beat them they were the number one seed in the NFC in 1980
@@Ubermentsh I remember watching the 1979 Pro Bowl. Manning had a field day. If it's on the internet, go watch it. I think the saints went 8-8 that year. They should have won more games, I think
@@BobBuckethead-ol5cw he was no Steve Bartkowski. Steve can really spin it 🙂. The number speak for themselves. We all love the Mannings. But Archie threw more interceptions than touchdowns 🤷🏼♂️. And Buckethead is a phenomenal guitarist
Super Underrated, Best QB in Falcons history.
Na that’s Matt Ryan
most accurate deep thrower and clutch!
Jesus only 2 likes? I’m not even Atlanta fan
But I miss the Red and Bart
He’s underrated
Yeah he ruled. So exciting and effective. Been a fan since e I was 5 in 1979. William Andrew's was just as under rated.
