- Beau from AEM Electronics walks you through setting up the HPTuners software to identify and log AFR data from the X-Series OBDII Wideband Gauge on a Chevy Camaro. He also shows you how to set up two gauges so you can identify them on the channel list if you have one for each bank on a V8. Works with 2008/up vehicles only.

I was wondering how I’d install the pair of x series I picked up. Thanks for this video. Cleared up a couple things I needed to know that the instructions don’t. Have a good one
I tried to hook mine up exactly. The gauge works. But when I add the channel it doesn’t work
What needs to be done to get HP Tuners to pickup native Air Fuel Ratio rather than Lambda?
So what happens when you search it so many times to the extent where it disappears on the channel list (wb eq) cos I don’t seem to find it again?
I followed the instructions in the video but when I connect the MPVI2+ scanner to the passthrough from the AEM wideband, it only reads the wideband and not the car. I have even replaced the gauge and the wiring but it still only reads the wideband. If I remove the passthrough and connect the MPVI2+ to the OBDII port directly it reads the car just fine. Is there some other setting that may be off?
Would this wideband also work on a 2005 wrx tuned on opensource via tactrix cable?
will this gauge allow the standard hp tuners to have a wideband signal on the hp graph?
The wideband data will appear in the HP Tuners logs.
How does the Bosch 4.9 LSU compare to the proven NTK wideband sensors?
Whats part # for 2nd AEM wideband, looks like different obd2 connector than connector on 30-0334 ???
It was the hpt mpvi connecting to the bottom of the stacked obd wideband cables.
Will this work with LiveLink?
Do you need the upgraded box for this to work, or will the standard one do fine?
Please check the HP Tuners forum. There is information there regarding what versions this will work with.
You don't need MPVI Pro since it runs off the vehicle aldl port.
I did this and the VCM scanner doesn’t display the data?

how to use this with Evoscan?
We have not validated Evoscan to work with the OBDII X-Series Wideband.
The music is distracting.
*mashes sony electric piano keys "THE WAY WE HOOK THIS UP IS" *smashes drums and plays trumpet
Only works on 2008 and newer obd2 CAN Bus. Dosen't show up on my 2003 Silverado
Correct. The OEMs adopted the CAN standard in 2008, so it will only work on 08-up vehicles.
So how do hook the x series to like my 2003 trans am
I have pro link cable
