A fellow southpaw here!! I just realized when I saw u cutting out the ❤️ I’m learning a lot from you as I am only beginning w/ alcohol inks. So no tip is too big or small for me!!
You used a mask in a shape of a heart but I think ..... If only you glued a rectangle of contact paper with a heart cut out like a window on a plexi plate ... you could paint over only the desired shape and after it dried you could just peel the stencil off leaving the heart, no cleaning (and no waste). If the desired effect is a colourful heart + clear rest it is better to use a stencil (a heartshaped hole) than a mask (heart shape).
Had a thought after watching you pull of the plastic wrap off, there seemed to be a lot of ink left on there. Might look neat to lay it on a piece of Yupo and make an abstract print or use for a background.
